No one captures the nuance of melancholia like Luna. Dean, Stanley, Britta, Sean, Lee and Justin have brought such goodness to my life since 1995. Sending you guys so much love. 🤎
Fantastic cover and a really striking video. Amazing work all around. I've always wondered if those Eero Aarnio chairs are really comfortable though 8-)
P.S.- So very happy I stumbled across this sublime treasure of a song!! And not at all to take away from the power of this amazing cover, but I’ve been trying to re-find a similar cover for 20 years now. Band name unknown. So just have to ask: does anyone happen to know of a very similar cover of this song that came out early 2000s and got play on college radio? Male singer. Not Steve Earle or Scott Walker. Slightly grittier, less ethereal, similar tempo. Used to have it on a mix tape that has evaporated. Any leads appreciated… thanks! P.P.S. If I never find it, at least I can die happy with Dean Wareham’s version now in my life. 😌
The late Pat Fish of the Jazz Butcher had nothing but good things to say about you when I brought up Galaxie 500. He suggested your book to me. Say hi to Britta.
