I had a 1963 Comet that I needed the screw driver for as well. I stalled leaving work at night on a main highway. A tractor trailer was coming, I was so afraid I was going to be killed. But thank God, he stopped as I was in the middle of his lane. I jumped out of that car, opened the hood, stuck the screw driver in and started the car. I jumped back out and got the screw driver and got everything taken care of and got back in to drive away. I waved to the truck driver, but I was shaking and had tears in my eyes. I couldn’t wait to get home. I was 17 years old. At that time my dad was a substitute rural mail carrier. He took my car that he bought me to use on the mail route. Well, it stalled on him several times and of course he had to open the choke with the screw driver one too many times. He had a choke installed in the car. One that you could pull the button like thing out to open it. lol. Shortly there after Dad sold that car and bought me a year old Oldsmobile Cutless. My dad was one of the most generous fathers …..I miss him so much. I am 69, and remember those stories as though they happened yesterday. Just wanted to tell you that. Enjoyed your show tonight. I worked 2nd shift for over 27 years. I retired in 2021. For every Presidential and Governor election, as well as important bills on the ballot (medicinal weed 2013-enacted 2017, personal use weed- voted 2022, enacted 2023, marriage equality-voted 2012, enacted 2013) I requested election night off. I like to watch results come in. In 2016, at 8p (est- I live in Md) I sat in front of my TV, with a large glass of wine, awaiting the celebration. To say I was shell shocked is an understatement! As the hours past, and hope was lost, I sat in bewilderment. In 2020, I worked election night. I no longer trusted Americans, and I couldn't mentally do another 2016. By the time CA announced, it obviously looked like I was right to have worked- but I also knew there were a shit ton of mail ins, curtesy of Covid. Thankfully my fellow Americans showed up. I haven't yet managed to relegate 2016 to the ethers of my brain. I know Biden will win again- though there's always a niggling fear, lurking, hoping to pounce. I've bought new, bigger wine glasses (not quite Johnny Depp big, but close) because I WILL BE celebrating this year!

I live an hour away from Sacramento and I’m ready to move. I’m so tired of months long 108 degree weather. My dogs are going nuts. I can’t take them in the car they get to hot with air conditioning. I’m getting the cooling vests. We only have one car so we all have to go if we leave the house in fear of fire. We have constant fire planes flying over our house. I can’t walk them, they can’t go swimming in fear that the river or Lake will kill them from contaminated water. Dogs are dying from swimming in Lake Tahoe 😭 It used to be the cleanest lake in the USA. Now the billionaire developers are going to completely build it up raise the prices so only millionaires can live there. 40 percent of our property’s are owned by billionaire developers, then they out price them. This started happening after Trump. We are fighting them where I live. They want to tear down the historic town, old Victorians and build high rises that start at over a million dollars. I feel a lot of these fires are caused by them. If they burn us out we can’t afford to rebuild and the insurance company’s are working along with them by not giving us insurance and not covering all of the burned up property’s. So they move in and build. I’m surprised Biden never worked on this. Fetterman really stuck up for Biden he said he was there for him in his time of need and he will be by his side and all the Democrats need to get over themselves and stand with him and work on winning instead all this frivolous stuff. He would make a great President if he is well enough. He is gaining his weight back which is not good for his heath.

Wow I did not know all this. I went to Lake Tahoe in 2018 and the water was so clean you could see all the way to the bottom. Biden had to combat a ton lies and answer a question in a minute and control his stutter and was sick. My first car was a Datson B210. Bought it after the gas crunch in the 70s. It was brand new with only 8 miles on the odometer. The only stereo makers that made 4track tape decks small enough for the dashboard was Sony and Blaupunkt. I got a Sony installed. I LOVED that car! When I say my first car I mean the first car I ever had financed. I don't see the point in buying a huge gas guzzler. Give me good gas mileage and ease in parking and I'm happy. I even had a license frame that said: Official Mafia Staff Car. Haven't thought about that in years.
