You could tell that Cam was insulted that Dr. Bryant would never date him. Cam talks about adding more kids to his collection because he doesn't have to do the work of raising them.

I truly believe that creating kids with no intent of being involved in their actual raising is the absolute height of narcissistic behavior. That word is overused, but seriously, it’s like the kids are trophies or pawn pieces instead of actual humans who are going to grow up and be adults. This is why so many people need therapy. The people who were responsible for nurturing them into full grown adults fumbled that responsibility.

I want to add the perspective of the eldest and first born child of my father’s 10 children (4 baby mothers). My father had always been in my life. He took me to my father daughter dances, help provide financially (a little, because my mom waited until I was 15 to put him on child support for my brother and I). He went to my winter junior high strings concert and saw me receive my college diploma. With that being said: He missed my other junior high and high school string concert. Missed being in person to both my junior and senior college recital. He even missed out on being at both my junior high and high school graduations (he went to my step sisters- different school same district). My point is that while he was there for some moments, he still missed out on important milestones. I can even add my brother who he did not go to his junior high or high school graduations too. I love my dad but he missed out on experiences that I will never get to have ever again. So these men can provide financially all they want but what children really want is their presence. Just quality time whether it’s reading, doing a sport, even being in the car is quality time. These men will at some point miss important milestones because there is one of them and multiple children. Little Johnny might not have Daddy at his first Band concert because Daddy had to go to Emma’s dance recital. Children need physical, emotional, and mental stability and support. Financial helps but that’s not what children need in order for them to learn healthy relationships and boundaries to set them up for their futures. Thank you for the TedTalk!

My theory is that Dr. Bryant's approach was EXTREMELY intentional. I don't see her a "coddling" but more so being very STRATEGIC. Just look around, BM r actively agreeing with her! A black woman publicly criticizing a BM on a common toxic pathology! Someone else said…being single is not the insult men think it is. I say it all the time, how grateful I am to live in a time where I have the choice to be a single woman, to have never been pregnant, never married and can live a life and be happy. I have had options to get married and chose not to with no regrets. I think some men are upset that their sexual desires control their lives in a way it does not with women. Women make decisions based on needing resources or lack thereof and we currently live in a time where women can generate enough resources to live a happy stress free life in a way they may not be able to dealing with a good amount of today’s men.

Yass!!! Look at how many other communities put their children into music, dance, other activities for the kids to get scholarships for college. Pushing the children to be academically successful. Community is so important. We don’t hold parents accountable for their behavior and lots of times. These parents will be the ones to say “But you have this.” Again children need more than just financial stability. The crazy thing about it, on a post on Instagram had asked if Joie ( pronounce Joy) Chavis was a prime example of a broken home? A lot of women including myself have said, " Yes." Why? Because, she has 3 kids by 3 different men. And I mentioned on my post that she is absolutely creating a broken home. She decided upon herself that she dated different men, but ended up being pregnant from these different. She is not thinking that one day her kids are going to ask questions about them and why her and their dads did not married? Do yall know that about 8 people on that post are saying she isn't creating a broken home? I had to literally told them to look at this from an overhead because I am analytical thinker. So, by the time I explained it from that overhead view, they changed their view of the situation.

I don't see why there is confusion when some of the "heteros" that don't get tested are not as hetero as they put on. There is a culture of reckless sexual behavior in this community as a whole, gay or straight and if you are part of an unprotected group or in a high risk environment that very little protections are in place for, people don'tmind intentionally spreading things to you or unaliving you cause who really is going to come to bat for you. .

Dr. Cheyenne Bryan gave a Masterclass. From the start of that video we knew, what he later found out because he’s not self-aware, that he was completely outmatched. She did not coddle that man she was direct She didn’t let him deflect, she balance the tight rope of making sure his high emotions were in Check And was able to receive what she was saying. Did you notice how in the beginning of the interview when he asked her about herself and she talked about her childhood and her mother and her father some deep stuff.... And then he's like whoa I didn't ask all that I just asked a simple question like no empathy no type of human reaction to the story she just told I think that is what led the interview and the way that it did it was very rude how do you say something so personal like that and then someone's like "oh my goodness all I asked you for was what's your name and what do you do I didn't ask for all that" So unattached to human emotion.
