Real talk. I respect homie but you are dream if you think this country will come together. For every real one there are hundreds who are racist and haters. I love your positive and sorry I have to speak the truth and the truth is if you black you will always be treated as a second class citizen. I'm not even talking about regular black Joe even the president Barack Obama was treated this way. They told his ass to go back to Africa etc. Oprah as rich as she is was told accused of shoplifting in Italy. Lebron's house was vandalized and they wrote the n wrote. The point I am trying to make is this country is far from becoming United. The only thing that unites this country is the laws and if you are black in this country you should educate yourself and know the law. Also work hard and save some money incase the white supremacy start a racial cleansing.

Sorry i didn't mean to bring negative energy on a such great positive video like this. One of..if not his best. My brother gave this to my mom on tape to go home and listen too when he was locked up. Me..him and my middle brother have different dad's..same life as Tupac describes. My dad died when I was 3. My mom was a single mom..she loved us all the same .but she struggled. My brothers dad left him.. just literally packed up and left. I have learned alot from growing up the way I did. She had it rough..our lives were hard but this song in particular helps. Seems sad but..my mom is still comforted by this song.. my brother gave it to her on tape and she still feels loved when listening. This is why I appreciate him as an artist. He represents people like me.. I'm a white female but he as a black man describes my life to a t. He was so very talented..and I'm so happy he shared his story within every track and album he made. Keep your head up ya'll !!! Tupac cared and so do I !!..much love

It's funny that in a way Country and Rap are going down the same parallel lines. Story telling in Country and Rap was more prominent during its (for a lack of a better word) heyday. Now Country has developed into this "bro-country" where it's about creeks, river banks, tailgates and dirt roads while mainstream Rap has also lost its substance. They're walking two very similar paths.

As I listen to this classic, my mind drifts back to the fifth command in Exodus 20:5 KJV which states: “Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” Parents are entitled to a degree of love and respect which is due to no other person. God Himself, who has placed upon them a responsibility for the souls committed to their charge, has ordained that during the earlier years of life, parents shall stand in the place of God to their children. And he who rejects the rightful authority of his parents is rejecting the authority of God. The fifth commandment requires children not only to yield respect, submission, and obedience to their parents, but also to give them love and tenderness, to lighten their cares, to guard their reputation, and to succor and comfort them in old age. It also enjoins respect for ministers and rulers and for all others to whom God has delegated authority. This, says the apostle, “is the first commandment with promise.” Ephesians 6:2. To Israel, expecting soon to enter Canaan, it was a pledge to the obedient, of long life in that good land; but it has a wider meaning, including all the Israel of God, and promising eternal life upon the earth when it shall be freed from the curse of sin.

This is why Tupac was so influential with his music. He wrote lyrics that touched lives. Unfortunately many people who are not apart of our culture misunderstand us. This song alone encompasses probably 75-80% of all black lives in America. Unfortunately drugs were shipped and placed into our communities and Tupac is echoing the results of that. It’s good to hear n see other cultures understand us better. We’re all people at the end of the day but it’s good to understand each other’s challenges!!

I was blessed in that I had a wonderful Dad in my life who may not have be financially rich but he was rich in character. I couldn't have imagined a better father (may he rest in peace). I certainly had a good mom to, and I am very close with her today, but unlike my Dad she grew up in a house with a father related to organized crime figures, and grew up in kind of a messed-up environment, in some ways. Gangsters were constantly in and out of the home... my grandfather was a heavy drinking WWII Army Vet, and as a kid, I thought of my mom as cold, but still a good mom... I was just not close to her until I was about 30, and now I understand she was only a product of her environment, which was very different from the one I grew up in. I'm thankful my childhood was not like Tupac's but some of my cousins *did* come up that way, but I digress. I've *ALWAYS* thought that this was one of Tupac's greatest masterpieces, especially in that, even though I *personally* had a much more fortunate childhood, myself, I could *still* always feel this song, and the pain he went through, despite not having gone through that same thing. It's one thing for people who experienced the same hardships to really be able to put themselves in that person's shoes, so to speak, but only a *truly talented* artist can make the listener feel just like *they* did through music/lyrics/poetry, without having to have gone through that experience themselves... *THAT* is what I consider a true gift! RIP, Tupac.

And yes. It’s similar to country song. One day I was on a road trip with my homegirl. From Ohio to Kentucky. By the time we hit southern Ohio bleeding into Kentucky, we could only find country music stations. We were r&b and hip hop lovers, and enjoyed every bit of the country music. Because the lyrics and storytelling about relationships, strife, love of cars and women, dranking the pain away…we all really are more alike than different. These types of reaction videos bring people together in the comments. Y’all contribute to joy and nostalgia. Keep going. 💕

This song and "Brenda's got a baby "are Pac's greatest artistic achievements! And where it pertains to his screen presence check out his portrayal of Birdie in "Above the rim." He was phenomenal!

Tupac is more than the greatest rapler of all time, his songs weren't just about rapping. They were about black people and his life with racism. So I don't care what none of all say, cause tupac is the best

You ARE the best reaction channel. You listen and 5hen react. Bravo to you sir. And you introduced yourself and listeners to the great Tupac Amaru Shakur. The greatest lyrical poet to bless people with his art. This IS the Pinnacle to music. Thank you for being open minded. Keep it up brother.

I just happened to fall upon your channel & I need to applaud your in-depth insight into wanting to get to know Pac, & also getting to the reality of his relationship with his mother. I want to piggyback off of something that you said that most people overlook & don't understand. A lot of people out there give Pac's mother Afeni a lot of credit for the type of individual he became to be, but the reality is that Pac was left to fend for himself at a very early age, & there was a very long rift between them. Had it not been for Pac coercing & convincing his mother to get into recovery, who knows what her end would have been like, spiraling out of control as she was. You are exactly correct in identifying that Pac's mother Afeni chose her lifestyle over raising her son which is something most people out in the world fail to identify. Make no mistake, Pac suffered for it greatly; at age 14 he was already out there living on the streets roughing it with the homeboys & the drug dealers & the prostitutes, carrying heat. So I applaud you Sir coming from someone who does not know the rap world & yet you took it to learn about this great Artist, my friend, Pac! I really appreciate your reaction. The moral of the story: Love your children well people; you never know whom they will grow up to be! #LegendsLiveForever#GreatnessNeverDies #MissingMyFriendandProtector ❤
