Ben and Max, what an inspiring story and most of all it is great to see two brothers taking the risk of a cross country journey in a car of some age and higher miles. I'm glad it was a safe trip for you and that you enjoyed it. When you are settled in your careers, living your fuller lives as adults, you will always remember how special the trip was and the conversations you had on the road and the things you saw and did. Bravo to both of you!
I ran my 1998 Forester (green) to over 220k miles. Raised two kids in it, had several x-country trips... before a mechanic dropped a bolt into the crankcase. Best. Car. Ever.
I know this video is trying to say that Subarus are reliable cars. There are some Subarus are not reliable like my 2006 wrx Had to replace the engine and transmission twice on his cars and also have wrx hatchback, which is literally the Impreza hatchback But it doesn’t have the impression name and said it says Wrx
Is it gonna come from me and some of this is kind of my opinion, but I think the forester needed a redesign that I think Subarus are made in Japan, are built in Japan and assemble from the engine to it being wrapped in plastic being transported
Just a good JDM brand not only having a RU-vid channel but it’s JDM. No one cares it’s 2024 besides that one time I put a goddamn hellcat engine in a Subaru with a six speed the 2024 wrx still does have its rally blood from its sister the wrx rally car It still has the drift like it
That mechanic is an idiot. I do all my own maintenance on my forester. BMW/ Mercedes/Land Rover/jaguar basically any euro luxury brand is expensive. Subaru is average. Sincerely, A Dad
That is not true at all, they’re actually one of the most affordable brands out there! Yeah, the older ones had all kinds of issues with the transmissions and head gaskets, but all of that has been fixed and there really hasn’t been any major issues with them for decades and they are starting to get quite a bit better compared to where they were and I think the Subaru that they had in this video gave everybody who watched this video and example of that because they are good cars. I would especially recommend getting a newer one since Subaru for the past I guess decade or so has been making their own transmissions instead of having other companies make them for them so they are going up drastically and quality so I would highly recommend getting one
