And James Monroe Iglehart, who plays Laf/Jef on Broadway now (I mean, you know what I mean), dude has a Tony for playing Genie and has done some television. He played Titus’ rival, Coriolanus Burt, on Kimmy Schmidt.

I voted for the first time and I am terrified of what the results of the election will be. Not to mention that since our new Supreme Court Justice (Amy Coney Barrett) was elected I haven't stopped having nightmares. I literally woke up crying because I know that nothing will be peaceful no matter what the result is. I do not understand how people in my country can say Trump isn't a dictator or that he isn't a bad person.
I know this is kind of random but I remember when Hamilton announced they were coming to Sydney in 2021 and I was so excited I told my mum that I wanted to go and see it with her and my older sister. She ended up passing away a few months later. I haven’t listened to a Hamilton song in a long time which is funny because she never listened to it unless I was in the car with her and I’d ask to play the song and I remember this song coming on and that’s when I told her about the Sydney thing so that’s pretty sad and then yk covid and stuff :( Edit: you guys are the absolute sweetest thank you all so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Im so used to the musical which is so diverse with so manny races and backgrounds, that i forget that in real life all the people were white. They really did an amazing job on this musical.❤❤❤
Unfortunately Theodosia died quite young. But Aaron Burr did have children with a woman who worked for him, so he does have direct descendants, and they are all black. As LMM has described Hamilton, the story of America then told by America now. Senator Richard Burr is also a distant cousin.
I was so confused when I saw images of the real people! I'm from England and so we don't learn about American history, so I was convinced that George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were black.

My gender was politicized. After spending my mostly formative years under a stable administration where the adults took care of adult things, my world was turned upside down. This time you didn’t screw it up. I’ll never get the last four years back, but there is a new generation of kids who won’t have to live through what I and so many others did. Thank you.
This holds such a special place to me. We met Edred Utomi in Atlanta before his performance when I was a day away from my due date (and eight days from my daughter's eventual birth). He was so kind and said he'd sing this one for her. It meant so much.

Two months on and we are only just now sensing how tremendous was the promise of Election Day in 2020. We are really going to have to fight to keep our Republic a Democracy. This song is more poignant and prescient than they could have known.
This election is going to change the world, it’ll destroy life’s, and help create new ones. I will never understand people who don’t vote, you are discarding your chance to help make a better world for you and the people you love.

I've had this on repeat, so beautifully done! They sound so alike and have amazing harmony. The song strikes a sad mood today, as we wait to see what kind of world we leave for our children - one that perpetuates racism and division, or one that creates unity and progress.
