Part of what brings effectiveness is to actually study the song like we do the word of God. Put the lyrics down and then put the scriptures that gave birth to the song down and then study the specific scriptures, meditate on those scruptures to a place of revelation and believe you me, you will minister the song from the heart and with understanding & God given revelation. You will minister under the anointing because the Spirit of God gets involved whenever the word of God is invloved. The anointing gives you sweatless victories.
Many worship leaders don't know this, so I'll say it: 1. It's easy to know when a person leading worship isn't actually a worshipper. 2. We can also tell when your "worship" is borne of emotions, rather than spirit and truth. As Min. Dunsin accurately said, "You can't take people where you haven't been". This isn't to say that you must regularly encounter angels, or go on trances to be able to lead worship well. It simply means you MUST have a deep revelation and reverence for the One you're worshipping, and your life must be in complete devotion to him. You can't draw from a dry well. You must have that intimacy with God. Leading worship is far beyond being a vocalist and/or knowing many worship songs. If you're actually worshipping and not just singing, you wouldn't need a tutorial on worship adlibs, it'll flow from you because not only is the song ministering to you, but every part of you (your spirit, soul, and body) is worshipping Him.
In some cases worshippers know what to say, they know the Word but they don't know how to fit their adlibs into the rhythm or timing of the song. What can be done to fix that?
There were never any mechanical moment of worship found in the scripture as seen today in modern churches. Does God and His word change? How come Jesus, the prophets and the Apostels never had a platform. Where did platform or stage came from? It's in your Bible. It was never ordained by God, not even in the tabernacle.
Honestly I'm so blessed n happy I came across this video on Saturday night. I was to laed worship on Sunday, thanks to this video, I listened to every bit of ur teaching n added it to me worship songs Honestly it came out more beautiful. I also got an acknowledgement by some of my parish members. I'm so grateful. Thank you ma'am ❤❤❤❤ Thank you Jesus...Lord I really wanna know u more
A lot of worship leaders hide under adlips, the full worship session is full of very distracting stunts , people leave church lamenting about how that sisters stunts mad pa, that’s all , their lives aren’t changing instead of a heart filled with the holyspirit , so much so that in 1week dey still find themselves soaked in Him , worship that all you see is God not man , not entertainment, worship that rewires your mind and leads to positive changes in your relationship with God .. Not every worshiper is worshipping in spirit and in truth which is the requirement.. worship is a lifestyle.. so much more to it honestly.. God will continue to help us .. this was very needed sis ❤
I think the biggest reason as to why some worship leaders don't use adlibs is because the songs they are leading are not sang in their first language and they fear to make mistakes
Recently the pastor of my church put me on the list as worshipleader. But its not something that comes natural for me. When I was practesing on the songs this video popt up. I believe the Lord will help me through this series. Thank you so mutch for sharing ❤️🙏🏻 God bless you. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Thank you for this. Most people who dont use other words it is either 2 things, they are afraid to go off key, it is not their first language or they are beginners. Thank you for all the tips.
The essence of a message is what distinguishes a secular song from a gospel song, regardless of the words used. The spirit behind is what makes the difference really.
I love this video so much and i just bumped into it. As a worship leader,i'm not bad with my adlips...i adlip with bible scriptures when i can,i go extra miles without even been conscious of it. This video is an encouragement to me,because sometimes i feel i'm doing too much...but then i'm challenged to do better. Thank God for Grace and thank you for sharing Ma
The words, the sound, and the vessel. Sounds are a vehicle means in the spirit realm. Music is spiritual. The words yes! But beyond that, the sound and the vessel, because worship is not just music or words alone. The position of your heart with an understanding of the depths of the words you are singing, the power, the annointing that make healings possible. Atmosphere change in worship because the King is pleased. Not just fine voice or fine words.
Shout out to Assemblies of God church...very good foundation of fundamental Christian Doctrine. Dat time if you miss Sunday School, you nor come church o...😀😀 I was born in Assemblies of God, it not a small journey o. Thanks Sister Ccioma, I celebrate you greatly 🙏🙇
Wow... Just found about your page and for the past weeks, I've been having a urge to become more intentional in my worship ministry. This is amazing, thanks alot. I'm staying on your page forever!🔥
The back up is crucial also. If I am trying to be creative and the backup is veering off, I as the lead have to say familiar words of the song until they are comfortable. Especially also if the song is new. So I think sometimes the lead is not deliberately just staying with one or two words of adlibe, he or she is mindful of the backup as well.
That's very important, sometimes you have to be sensitive, when the back up is not very strong, especially the melody, you have to be standby back up as well
Tell me 'bout it! If you've ever lead while playing the instrument and being your main backup in a congregation just watching, you'll know it's neither by power nor might😅😂. In any ideal situation, you may just find yourself following if you know these things but the Spirit must be the one leading you, otherwise we end up distracting or rather intimidating the weak while we lead.
I'm not this big worship leader in a megger church or anything, I from Trinidad I'm attending a small church with only four worshippers, everyone leads and only women, I'm the least experienced in singing on the team, but I do try. The name of our small church is New Covenant Evangelistic Lighthouse, we have no more than 50 member that's includes children.
I love this lesson. I thought it was very well done and very insightful! I can tell you're a beautiful woman of God! Thank you for sharing your ministry to the world! Keep up the Good Work! 💖💯💐
Great job, sis, for sharing this! Another thing that sets our music apart from that of the world is the Spirit or Power behind it - who is producing it within the singer. If it originates from the Spirit of God within us, it will impart life. Conversely, if it arises from our human understanding (ourselves), it will yield death to the listeners. While people may enjoy and dance to it, it will ultimately bring them no benefit beyond physical exercise or stirring emotions temporarily.
What makes our music different from secular is the words and the Spirit behind the song. We have God's Spirit inspire us or rest upon the song that does something to the listener and the singer too. Thank you for this tips
Let's continually offer unto God the sacrifice of Praise (THE FRUITS OF OUR LIPS...WORDS OF PRAISE FROM OUR LIPS). Awesome sis....very much needed 👏....
