An open letter to RU-vid 2018: Is it fair that either the filmmaker or the musician takes 100% of a youtube videos money? I think not. We both add something to the video, so we should both be paid for it. Currently if we use copyrighted music in our videos, then the music owner takes 100% of the video's revenue. If we use copyright-free music we get 100% of the money and the musician gets nothing. Surely both the filmmaker and the musician should be paid? What do you think? Am I missing something? Please comment below and lets have a pleasant discussion.

Video filmed in Kenting Street Night Market, Taiwan - We didn't say much this episode, so I thought it was a good time to talk about the music we use in our videos.
