This scene was deleted because in the last alia bhatt short movie is based on this story which srk told her may be the director wanted that the audience would feel that alia bhatt did research to find the story of donia maria(sorry if the spelling is wrong) and not that she make the short movie based on the story which srk told.

It's actually more important to delete this scene to be honest. Kaira is a very talented cinematographer and director. Her ability to perform was hindered by her state of mind. Removing this scene actually meant that the film was hers and not something she just took from away from Jug. This sends a stronger and the right message, all she needed was a nudge to get back on track.

This scene touched me so badly as I have a fear of being rejected due to being overweight, I have an attractive face so many boys want to meet me so any times and they get impressed with my voice as well but when it comes to meeting them I get feared of being rejected and feel like disgusted towards my own self . This is the reason I have never had a love in my life . It's not with everyone I am pretty confident girl in my life and everyone loves me but when it comes to go for love I hide myself and reject all offers . Can't get over my this bhoot, don't know how and when !!!

Meet Shah It's not a spoil at all...at this point of the film you dont know it's gonna be the movie she makes...it's just another story from her BD... Infact if this was included it adds to the climax. Since, then that short film she did carries more weight 'cos it says why she chose that and what it means to her rather than being a random story which came from nowhere...
