What a phenomenal film! Vivian and Andrew react to ‘Dear Zindagi’, a coming-of-age drama that beautifully captures the essence of life and self-discovery. It’s the story of Kaira, a budding cinematographer, who is discontented with her life. Her encounter with Jug, an unconventional thinker and psychologist, helps her gain a new perspective on life.

For some reason this video got hit with a very aggressive copyright claim. We've attempted to do our best to trim here and there using RU-vid's editor without butchering the video, but some parts will be obvious that cuts were made. This is the last 'great' SRK film. Pathaan was entertaining but Dear Zindagi was beyond just entertainment. This is also one of those films along with Highway and Udta Punjab that made everyone realize that Alia is a very special actress.

This movie is sooo good! It perfectly captures the feeling of belonging and is a must-watch for anyone who ever felt like they are lost. SRK and Alia Bhatt deliver stellar performances, and the pacing is perfect, especially after Shah Rukh Khan's introduction. To this day i regret not watching this in theatre 😐.

@@AniMangHwa_ I disagree. The film did not make the men villains and Alia a faultless heroine. The movie is about a troubled young woman, who is scarred by her childhood abandonment. And about how therapy helps her overcome her inner issues. None of the men were vilified, in fact they were shown as mature, decent guys who even came to support her when she made her first short film. Gauri Shinde is a thoughtful writer & director, and I think she made a lovely film without putting either gender down.

The other person doesnt. THATS the difference. The movie is not about cheating or not dude its about her problems with opening up and how it is considered toxic in indian culture to date more than 1 men and everyone wants you to marry the first guy ur family shows u. I only had one complaint with this movie. When she cheated her boyfriend, it was shown in a jiffy like it was no big deal. But when she was cheated, it was shown like it was such a big deal, she lost her mental peace, etc. etc. She got the exact same thing that she did to the other person!! So if women are cheated, they go through hell but it's fine if men are cheated?? What about men's mental health???

Good choice, guys! I used to wonder why famous stars like these didn't do more such movies. Then it occurred to me that, just like us (the hoi polloi), most directors, producers, and those involved in film-making also saw them more as 'stars' than as 'actors'. Plus the money they bring in... Anyway, so although there are many good stories floating around, it takes the right director, the right producer, or the right filmmaker with the right mindset to take the first step towards bringing these to the screen.
