We did one of Scott’s tours 3 years ago and it was great. i didn’t get to meet him bc he was out of town but the other guide did a good job. We are thinking of doing another tour. i hope this time to see Scott. the tour is worth every penny!

I heard different about the Shirley Temple was invented / discovered in Waikiki Beach at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel bar as once Shirley Temple stayed at that hotel in the early days of Honolulu, Hawaii.

I really enjoyed this tour. I wasn't ready for it to end. Looked like so much fun !! Great job👍

You can catch a few glimpses of me (the African-American male wearing black). He must be saving some of the tour for another vlog. There was a big stop we made that he didn't include. If you get a chance, go on one of these, with or without Jordan

Nice to see Falcon Lair. I was the caretaker there from 2001-2005. I loved living up there. So much history and great views. It's tragic what happened to the house and property. At least I had four years. Cheers.

Great vlog! I drove up Bela and turned around at that little inlet at 14:32. Trent Reznor took the Cielo door with him to his New Orleans studio. I was there and tried to see it but they were remodeling the building and the door was gone. I should have checked the dumpster.

In 1969, someone famous was living at Falcon Lair, though I forget who it was. This is a fascinating tour. Thank you. But I'll never like Bea Arthur again!

I took the Dearly Departed Tour once and it was awesome. Does Scott Michaels only do the Helter Skelter tours or he does he do other tours as well?

Really enjoyed the vlog today! Such a fantastic idea doing a Dearly Departed meetup tour with the Lion-hearts. Full of such fascinating information and unique artifacts. “Hope I don’t end up a stop on your tour.” One can’t help but think about the foreshadowing in that quote. Some really great stops on the tour and facts. Looks beautiful there in California. Peter Falk has always been one of my very favorites, and I enjoyed seeing Valentino’s stable.

Some might find this type of tour distasteful but think most of us kinda have a morbid Fascination with wanting to know lurid details of Hollywood history especially unsolved crimes. Fun fact: His father, Harry Redmond Sr., along with 7 other gentlemen, are the reason for the movie industry in Hollywood when they moved it from New York in 1926. Bea Arthur may not have been your traditional blonde beautiful actress, but she was a power house on stage and in films. A phenomenal actress of unwavering talent. Yeah, she made Betty White look frivolous and out of touch with the audience. I'm not a fan of BW, I can't think of a single thing she's done that is memorable. Golden Girls was almost a fluke for her! All the other actresses were top notch. Love Estelle Getty and Rue MacCallahan and Bea Arthur! Great vlog the whole way through. I hate it I'll never get to see a Scott Michael's Dearly Departed Tour in the flesh. Like you, he is an awesome story teller! You hoth could be on television weekly with a tv shiw about old Hollywood and Hollywood deaths, and gossip. I find you both extremely talented in that regard. I would definitely love to go on a Deadly Tour if I ever get out to California. I have not been back to California now in like 27 1/2 years now since I left the Navy. I spoke about traveling out to California with a ex-girlfriend of mine. She wanted to make a trip with me. Glad that I realized about my ex that she had no intentions of getting married with me and she moved on with her life.

Reznor took the PIG door after the house was razed and used as the front entrance to his recording studio on Magazine Street in New Orleans. Apparently, the door is still somewhere in New Orleans with some weirdo murderbilia collector.

For RKO, not sure of the radio connection, perhaps a distant bit with RCA? Keith and Orpheum were both vaudeville circuits.

Jack Benny sold his house and bought a condo, i think Mary wanted to move? They did not like the condo and bought a house on Charing Cross, across from The Playboy Mansion, that is where Jack died.

Jayne Mansfield car: That accident is the reason you see them low metal square beams on the back of semi trailers. The actual name of them are actually called the Mansfield bar. Now here's a little bit of funny information there's only one manufacturer of trailers that actually meets the safety criteria for what those bars are actually created for the rest are technically not DOT approved.
