Let me know which plane or creature you think best represents death and the afterlife!

The way you describe death and the use of souls and bodies in Ravnica really does make the flavor text for Rest in Peace hit hard: "Some corpses the Golgari cannot claim. Some souls the Orzhov cannot shackle."

It's crazy how you can maintain a frequent upload schedule with how in-depth these videos are-downright superhuman. Thanks a lot, Erek. The best afterlife is clearly the one promised to the people of Amonkhet by the benevolent God-Pharaoh :).

This feels deeper than just fantasy lore... The depth of idea on the nuance that is death.

Another incredible video/ approach on this very unique part of the gameplay the graveyard represents. Escape, Delve, Dredge, Unearth, Discard, Mill etc. go far beyond simple game mechanics and touch to many philosophical and religious aspects IMHO, especially when you mirror them with the planes they come from. So glad Mirrodin/ Shadowmoor and my good old T1 Dark Ritual Specter made an appearance in your piece of work, won't gonna lie. Cheers

What interests me the most with the different plains of magic, is how the mana ecosystem works. The soul of living things, is mostly just a vessel of mana, that brings life to inanimate matter. Wheras the body returns to dirt, to be fuel for new bodies, the soul returns to manaa, to be fuel for either new souls, or other mana constructs. Gods, angels, spirits, demons and the like, are beings of pure mana. Creatures and elementals are a fusion of matter and mana. Magic haven't given us all the answers, but we have a fairly good picture on what naturaly happens to the soul after death, and then the permanent death of the soul, but we know little of how souls are formed, or how mana is bound to various natural mechanisms. We know that some beings spontaniously leap into excistence, when enough mana or gather at a place, or when enough belief forces mana to take a certain shape. Might be that just some natural shapes attracts mana, and if the vessel is is right, the mana takes the shape of a soul.

The afterlife only begins when you let it. Heroes never die 🎉

Some of this info started getting repeated at a certain point. Not sure if it was too long for u to notice that while editing but when a video is this long I think any repetition stands out more. Still very good but I don't have the attention span for the whole thing today. I'm over 30 mins in tho so it ain't like I quit after 2 mins

While I very much enjoy this type of thoughtful content- I have to be honest here… The audio quality of the voice over has made it challenging for me to relax and immersive myself in the words. I hear a static air present whenever the voiceover is playing. It’s distracting. And I’m only here telling you this as honest feedback. I hope you don’t take this criticism too harshly. ❤
