Death Battle Jinx vs Harley Quinn Reaction 

Both of them voting for Harley makes it even more satisfying for me when I voted Jinx :D

My thoughts on why Harley's psychoanalytic skills weren't really effective in this battle was because she didn't really know anything about Jinx (aside from the fact that she was crazy and likes blowing stuff up). Maybe if Harley had known more details about Jinx's past, she may have been able to get in her head a little more, but I don't know. I think Wiz and Boomstick somewhat touched on it also where mind games only work so much on someone whose mind is essentially so far gone. I would kinda put Jinx in a similar category to the joker where there is no reasoning with them as "some men [or women] just want to watch the world burn"

Two rules of Deathbattle: 1. They look for who is likely to win the most times out all potential matches, not just a couple of times thanks to one really good move or skill. Even if her psychological skills were as potent and Jinx were as gullible as you think she is, it's really one of the only advantages Harley has, while Jinx has SO much more on her side, including strength, durability, speed, versatility, battlefield control, status restoration & immunity, and weaponry. So, while Harley could win, say, 25% of the time, Jinx's much more numerous advantages lead her to be victorious the other 75%, which is why they declared her the winner. 2. The animation is (mostly) made for entertainment purposes. It's the reasearch at the end that determines the winner. There are things that are echoed from the research, but it's mostly for a cool battle. Everything that happens in the fight isn't exactly how it might go in a real fight, meaning Harley may or may not have used that specific mind tactic to try and trick Jinx. It's possible she wouldn't even have the chance to do it at all. Trying to pick the fight apart the fight for the answer is rather pointless. The whole quote was actually a reference to another Deathbattle you'll likely get to in the the future. They just used this specific line of dialogue for a callback and a funny moment. Trust me. I adore Harley, but she is clearly outclassed here.

The psychological tactics in the actual fight is for entertainment, They do not always portray their skills in the fight. It was actually a shoutout to the “joker vs sweetooth” death battle. As for why it did bot work on Jinx, Harly manipulates her opponents ignorance, greed, anger, etc… the issues with Jinx is the one thing Harley sucks against as a psychological fault… Chaos. Just like she caved into jokers crap, his tactics was Chaos and circumvented her knowledge on psychology. Because it is non sensical. That is the same with jinx, her default is chaos and then it gets boosted by the shimmer. So it is just jacked up chaos. You cannot psychoanalyze that.

One thing *aside from knowledge* that prevents Harley from using her psychoanalysis is that Jinx, while unstable, tends to fight *better* the more unhinged and emotionally unstable she is. She just becomes more unhinged and emotionless at death. So on the contrary, even if Harley had the information to Jinx's past against her, in a genuine fight, it would only make her stronger.

Honestly I don't think Harley making jinx crack would have helped her at all. Because in the first place it will just made her more dangerous. She'll be more likely to just nuke the area more than anything. And I don't think Harley really had much that could have taken her down. But not only that Harley just didn't know anything about her and wouldn't have been able to properly use that psychoanalytical stuff

I mean Harley did fall under the sway of Joker. Is Harley therapy skills that impressive in light of that?

So while I agree that Harley being intelligent to try & get Jinx in a false sense of security could work, like others said, she would need more knowledge of Jinx to let it play out potentially better, & when they say she's inherently mistrusting of others, I think that's what they are referring to. She wouldn't provide any information to be in such a position. Also Harley might be able to do such a thing, it doesn't always work. Remember, she tried curing the Joker (someone who is JUST as insane) & instead went from Harleen Quinzel to Harley Quinn, & Joker is almost never affected by Harleys own attempts to get his guard down, & Joker isn't the only to have overcome these tactics. Jinxs own mental state is kind of similar in that regard (At least League Jinx where she's experienced where Arcane Jinx is like the prologue to her current form). I bet if they explained it better like that, it would be more accepting of Harleys loss.

Jynx is basically a tank. She also has pre cog. There's probably no way that Harley could have won this

One important detail: As much as I love Harley I'm satisfied with the results. When two people are fighting, it's important to know that you have Fighter A & Fighter B. If Fighter A wins, then that's the way it goes. In the end every fighter loses a fight, whether your too old, got sick, it just wasn't your day or whatever it is, it happens. In the end all you can do is try to stay on top for a while and be the best.

Chemtech is a big thing in LoL, you've already seen the beginning of it in Arcane (Sevika's arm, the dudes that Jayce and Vi fought in the Shimmer Factory). Where as Piltover has Hextech, Zaun has Chemtech, and very few characters realize that both are needed for true Progress

“Savour my emotions” at the end was a reference to Joker vs Sweet tooth 😉

As far as death battle one thing you need to know and you probably noticed so far is they use composite characters meaning they put all there feats from across mediums into one so that’s why Jinx they use feats from games books anime you name it and put it as one

I definitely have my favorites (I think Weiss vs Mitsuru is amazingly animated and choreographed for one), but all of them are great in their own way. Thanks again, and keep being awesome.

Ahh, don't you just love watching people blow up? It's always such a blast! If there's one thing I love about Death Battle, it's how well they portray the characters.

The whole thing about “getting in close for the final kill” is that it’s a reference to something that happened in Joker vs Sweet Tooth (which I highly recommend btw). So I can see why you weren’t all that impressed by it, but it’s there for a reason.

And for the people who say if only harley new more about Jinx and how to trick her won't work look at the end of the video they have 4 rules for death battle and rule #1 is that "Combatants have no prior knowledge of each other unless specified"

One comment from the Rooster Teeth website actually got me to smile. This battle is the first time that a DC character has lost to someone who isn't from Marvel.

While you are right about Harley's brain being an incredible resource, you have to consider that to play effective mind games with someone you have to actually know them; Harl did this, of course, with people like Batman, Killer Croc, Joker, Ivy... but she have known all af them for years and, in this scenario this simply could not be applied. Also, as someone who played LoL for a while and love the lore, I can tell you, Jinx reacts with violence, ALWAYS. However, when I first saw this video I thought it could end in a draw and the beginning of a friendship because: -these two are basically twins from different mothers -Harley is, at the end of the day, a big softie and would have tried to befriend Jinx. With that being said I highly recommend you check the Harley Quinn animated series, it's great!

To answer your question about the League in League of Legends the idea is the characters from runeterra are being summoned essentially out of time and space to compete in the league which according to the original lore was supposed to be an alternative to massive scale war in the world of runeterra. The champions summoned for this would be dropped back into their world/time none the wiser anything had happened after the match had concluded. As to your comment about Arcane it is the actual main cannon of runeterra the league is more of the side cannon thing

Don't cut out most of the video. It's best that u watch the entire Death Battle, Wiz and Broomstick r funny when shown in camera cause they explain in detail more and give visual reference and they r funny plus it tells a little bit of their background. It was the general consensus that jinx would win this mainly due to the gap in firepower albeit it is closer than this episode gives it credit for. Most people think Joker Venom would work on Jinx and that Harley with a combination of her intellect and the win condition of joker venom keeps it close, as for the ending that is a reference to Joker VS Sweet Tooth where Joker attempts the same psychological manipulation with a similar speech

When I first watched this fight I didn't even consider psychology as a potential threat for Jinx but I think you are right. Perhaps why it didn't work for the death battle team is because they tend to use the most powerful version of the character so they are using the more advanced LOL Jinx, who might be less susceptible to mind games, more stable, than the arcane version many of us only know. It would have been a nice touch if they had explained if that was the reason.

I love them both if they do meet I feel like they might fight but after they might be friends and become crazy best friends and unstoppable

It is hard to show a persons intelligence in a death battle unless it’s something they can do immediately for example Iron Man can hack of another person suit or tech in the middle of a fight, but someone like Batman needs more time to prep and plan based off the information they have

Granny Goodness is one of Darkseid's chief lieutenants. She trains the army of Apokalips, specifically the Female Furies who are New Gods that are loyal to Darkseid. Darkseid himself was in probably the most requested Death Battle of all time second only to Superman vs Goku, against Thanos, which is one of their top 2 or 3 episodes, probably.

Harley´s psycho tactics may even have worked against here in this battle when u think about it. psycho tactics require atleast some knowledge about the subject to be effective, u need to know what buttons to push to get a caracter off there game so to speak. But not so far that they lose all sense of reality and self preservation. Becouse of how these fights happening at random Harley dosent know where in Jinx´s mind to attack. Also when u have a so unstable mind as Jinx already have is psycho tactics even a viable option when u could so easily push your subject to far and all hell could break lose if u do. They did a good job showing Jinx getting thrown of her game for a short moment. But just for a short moment and after that she went over the edge so to speak and mind games wasent gonna work anymore.

honestly this was my fav of season 9 so far. the others were great but this was amazing. then omniman vs homelander stole the crown

I’d say the next death battle with what u’re watching might be Dante vs Bayonetta or Ragna vs Sol Badguy. Only reason to not go for DvB is u might want to finish the story vids first but I will say at the point DB did the clash DMC5 didn’t exist yet

Well, this really came down to, who can win in a fight, Dr. Frasier Crane or Sheldon Cooper and the winner was Sheldon Cooper, this was, therapists versus scientists and science won..

They took away each characters final quotes for time constraints, i think. By the way, do you know about BDX? If not, i highly recommend checking it out, maybe start off with the Gogeta vs Vegito DBX?

I don't know if you guys have seen Invincible and The Boys or are planning to, but a Death Battle between Omni-Man and Homelander just came out, and it's probably one of the few where everyone agrees with the result and is absolutely satisfied with the animation.

Couple things I want to say... First... they got the ages of both characters wrong. Harley was around 27 when she met joker... she's probably around 33ish now. With Jinx... It complicated... Jinx right now is around 27ish... but if they are only using Arcane she could be around 18-19. All we know is that she's not much younger than Vi... it's like 2-3 years. Arcane is in the past... it's what happened... not where they are at now. Even then... it hasn't been announced canon yet. Here's another factor that people who watch arcane don't consider. Is Jinx psychologically damaged in the game like in the show? She's not. She's crazy but she's not losing her mind over every little thing. Considering that Jinx is actually really smart too... she would most likely realize what harley is trying to do. What I don't personally like is them using items in the game in this calculation though... because she could just get the blade of the ruined king, tri-force, infinity edge and end this. The stuff she's made is fair but the game items... bit of a reach. I still do think Jinx is pretty far above Harley when it comes to combat in general though.

It`s true that Powder/Jinx is unstable but she acts crazier and stupider than she actually is so her enemies will underestimate her as she takes sadistic glee in drawing out the panic!

13:25 Arcane is actually cannon. It’s because jinx and vi had next to no backstory before arcane that they were able to create their backstory with Arcane. What they were trying to say in death battle is that Jinx has many different non cannon skins and stories as if she was in different universes which they wouldn’t consider like if jinx was a magical girl.

Tbh, Ingames item aside, Jinx was gonna win this one either way as Harley in this form isn’t strong enough to take on Jinx not to mention her toxins just triggers her insanity which even when unstable she can fully function well enough to defend herself and get what she wants done, her shimmer infusion makes her very strong too…also if you go with the argument they didn’t used peak Harley which is apocalypse Harley, where she is able to take on darkseid then they would have to use peak power jinx too which is her star guardian or odyssey variants which can legit erase existence, manipulate time, void, and much more, can space travel, and a load more…so as I said, either way you look at it, Jinx was the victorious side all along but props for Harley to been able to hold her off that long

About psychology... I would say that Harley actually does not have such an advantage... Sure Jinx is damaged and Harley could certainly dig in and affect her but I doubt it would go the way she would hope... In Arcane Episode 9 The Monster You Created (Obvious spoilers): Jinx has Invited Vi, Silco, and Caitlyn to dinner (AKA she kidnapped and bound all of them) where they try to figure out where she is going to go and who she is going to be (Powder or Jinx)... Things go wrong as opinions are shared Jinx's insecurities start to flare up Caitlyn gets free grabs a gun and get knocked out... Things escalate as Silco tells Jinx to "finish it" and Vi starts yelling about remembering the family Powder accidentally Killed... Jinx's Trauma flares massively... She starts seeing the people like Vi tells her to except they are either yelling at her in fury and rage or looking at her disapprovingly, and she breaks down... Silco is seeing that Vi is unknowingly hurting his daughter and tries to tell her to shut up and stop but the yelling continues and Jinx is just getting worse and worse... Silco manages to grab a gun and goes to shoot Vi... Jinx reacts and Silco eats a chestful of bullets... as he is dying he confirm to Jinx that he loves her and would not have abandoned her and that even in his death he still thinks she is perfect... Jinx chooses who she is going to be from then on she takes the weapon she designed and attacks the Piltover council... Why is that scene important to the conversation of psychological warfare working on Jinx? because while both Vi and Silco truly loved her, they were trying to manipulate her love for them to make her choose their side... and in the both affected her but neither got what they wanted either... Silco dies but so does Powder with him... I would not see it as a surprise at all for Harley to try and play psychological tricks on Jinx only to end up making things worse for herself...

Once you guys catch up with RWBY, please watch all the Deathbattles with RWBY characters. Also all of the Deadpool ones and all of the My Little Pony ones, one of those actually crosses over. Deadpool fights Pinkypie. One of my all time favorite Deathbattles is the Black Widow/ Widowmaker fight.

This death battle was the most insane one that brings a new feature of animation to be amazing 😁 there are more on the way with bring satisfaction to shock features in this new season. eyyy here it is! Just finished watching: Although I am a huge Jinx fan I agree that Harley probably should have won. I think Jinx just won due to the Arcane hype. Got to say though my favourite scene in this death battle is when Harley puts the dynamite in Jinx's mouth. Since Jinx is an explosives expert along with her being unhinged she knew exactly how long the fuse would last so just decided to keep it there until it was ready to go Kaboom!!!

Arcane as far as ik is cannon. Riot Games has never said either way I'd it's cannon or not, but Vii and Jinx have very little backstory in LoL so most fans consider it cannon regardless, despite some differences. And also Shimmer does exist in the games it's just not explored all that much and does by a different name I do believe I love both Jinx and Harley but I certainly think Jinx has a bit more of an advantage in this fight that she'd end up winning regardless. Regardless of Harley's mind games, it's almost impossible for her to use it effectively in this battle because she know almost nothing about Jinx to actually be able to effectively manipulate her

i honestly didn't realise that Harley was as Badass as sh is, i didn't know she turned into a hero eventually, ive alsways seen her as a villain (well other than in the Injustice universe) so this shone some light on her character, she was my pick from the start because i just dont know anything about Legue of Legends, i hope she wins now becuae she is even more of a Badass than i though. Yeah this is one that I took a LITTLE issue with, though it wasn't necessarily that I strongly disagreed with the outcome. I still maintain that Jinx shouldn't have had some of those "special powers" they gave her because they weren't things she canonically has. Stuff like the Quicksilver Sash and the Phantom Dancer are generic items that can be bought from the in-game shop during a League of Legends game, they're not "Jinx" items so much as items that are RECOMMENDED for Jinx players to use when playing her. ANY character in the game that's designed to do damage with their basic attacks can get their hands on those items just like any random soldier on a battlefield can pick up a random axe on the ground. So that chapped my cheeks a little. And her little teleporty iPad was literally just in ONE promotional cinematic for a new version of the game: Wild Rift. It's used as a plot device to have a fun little movie about her gathering up a team of characters to join her side and take part in an in-game match, most of these people living so far away from each other across the world that a little deus ex machina to get them all in one place was needed. Doesn't mean she canonically carries an Instant Teleport Gadget around (like, say...Deadpool canonically does). Death Battle read way too much into promotional material and game mechanics that are decidedly NOT character-specific or related to who they are as people. Not saying Jinx couldn't win, they had a few points about her toxin resistance due to growing up in Zaun as well as her Shimmer infusion...and she IS very much the "shoot first, ask questions never" sort. Harley WOULD need a bit of a better understanding of her to properly psycho-analyze and manipulate her, and by Death Battle rules they throw these characters together without any prior knowledge/prep time (or else Batman just wins pretty much everything lol). Jinx is also far less reserved about raw chaos, mayhem, and murder than Harley has grown to be. In situations where Harley may hesitate, Jinx won't. So I see a lot of things favoring Jinx in this matchup, to say nothing of the fancy math they use for raw stats. So at the end of the day...I don't refute the outcome, but I do kinda call shenanigans. Death Battle was a tad bit overly generous with their interpretation of her intrinsic kit and abilities, IMO. It was still fun to watch, though. :)

Okay but what would Harley say to Jinx that affect her? They’ve known each other for all of five minutes and Jinx literally couldn’t have cared less what she has to say about her anyway. You can even see that in Arcane, unless it’s someone she’s actually close to like Vi or Silco, she doesn’t care. I think you’re greatly overestimating the effectiveness of psych evaluating a stranger in a gun fight
