Seeing Tooru vs Makima in this video brought me a lot of damn joy lmao. Having made the matchup and seeing it grow so much in popularity, it's great seeing it get the recognision it very much so deserves for being such a cool damn idea, and I can't express how happy I am over it. You're extremely based mate, and hopefully if you do end up making a video on Tooru vs Makima you can also do the match a great amount of justice to just how much cool stuff could happen! Jorge Joestar (Jorge Joestar) vs Beat (Dragon Ball Heroes) The Basic Idea is: Normal kids who are The Protagonist of Hyper Fan-Fictiony yet offical spin-off series' of one of the most famous and influncal Jump Manga's both of which started in the 80's which are known for taking characters from the original manga and anime and reinventing them as new overpowered alternate universe versions and introducing new equally as overpowered characters with both characters being a member of a heroic family (Beat is Goku's descandend and Joji is an adoptive Joestar) with both going on adventures across various alternate realities

While I actually like a lot of these matchups I think that Josuke would match better with Edward Elric that I feel is very overlooked Many of the similarities attributed to Yang also apply to Edward with a few more > absent parent during childhood until later in the story (Joseph Joestar and Van hohenheim) > unassuming teenagers with hearts of gold > No nonsense teacher (Jotaro Kujo and Izumi Curtis) > Unique power to manipulate and change matter (Alchemy and Crazy Diamond) > Get pissed off when they are made fun of for certain traits (Josuke’s Hair and Ed’s height) > Both had a parental figure die at the beginning of their stories that they had tried and failed to resurrect (Trisha Elric and Ryohei higashikata) > Both were unknowingly the results of a mystical bloodline (Joestar bloodline and The survivor of Xerxes) Considering the similarity of their powersets I could imagine a fight where they mess up the environment really fun even though it’s a Josuke stomp

Kars vs meruem actually has a few more connections: 1. Both are life forms who sit on top of the food chain of their respective species pillar men for kars and chimera ants for merurm 2. Both have desires to rule the world in every creature In it 3. Both see humans as beneath them but they contrast with how meruem grew to see theirs special humans in the world who are more then just food 4. Both have attacks that emit flash’s of light meruems en being stated to be a flash of light and kars light mode for his bone blades 5. Both have blade like weapons attached to their body’s bone blades for kars and meruems bladed tail 6. Both have 3 minions/guards ( pouf pitou and youpi and wamuu esidisi and Santana respectively ) 7. Both have contrasting views on life/nature because while kars hated humans he still had a respect for nature and it’s creture like when he saved a puppy and stopped himself from falling on flowers but meruem started out respecting nothing but gradually changed his ways and mindsets and began to respect humanity to the point we’re he no longer wanted to rule the world while kars after becoming the ultimate life form became corrupt and no longer respected nature to the point we’re he created a squirrel that killed another squirrel just because of his new powers would allow him to makes more and be above nature it self. 8. Both ended up getting more powerful after almost dying for kars it was when he was surrounded by stroheims soldiers with uv lights surrounding him but still slipped on the stone mask before he could die, while meruem nearly died from the rose bomb but survived due to pouf and youpi feeding him their cells and allowing him to heal and gain more abilities 9. Both have extremely high intelligence as kars has a iq of 400 and lesser piller men like Santana can learn entire languages in seconds kars also has centuries of experience and knowledge and meruem came out the womb already knowing how to use everything nen related and was able to learn multiple board games in a few hours and beat all their best players just to pass time and was even able to create a strategy that allowed him to beat netero who is the strongest hunter ( both of their learning abilities are so good to the point we’re they can instantly learn and master moves and techniques) 10. Both have killed multiple members of their own species but it should be noted that kars wiped out almost the other piller men because it was out of self defense due to them not agreeing with using the red stone and stone mask to overcome the sun, while meruem killed his own mother and multiple other ants just because he felt as if they were beneath them.

Polnareff vs Puss in Boots is actually peak match-up tbh. Please watch Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, it’s really good and getting washed by Avatar 2 in theatres. 😭

One idea I've made myself that I think it's really cool: Dio vs Emperor Belos (The Owl House) The connections are -Both are the main villains from their stories. -Both started as british men in older times, who to achieve their goals rejected their humanity and became immortal which gave them new abilities. -Both killed their good hearted brothers. -In modern day, both now wear gold colored clothes and go by a new name. -Both gained a lot of followers thanks to their charisma and manipulation tactics. -Both are a "kind of evil that doesn't realize that it's evil", trying to complete a giant world changing plan into action thinking it will make humanity happier when it won't at all. -Both have a contrasting religious theme, with Dio being named after god and with Belos being a religious extremist. I think the fight is a lot more interesting than one would think at first. Dio outstats (city level and x1500 ftl vs town level and ftl+) but Belos regeneration is insane and he can resist a lot of Dio's hax so Dio could really only win with his ice abilities. But with high ends Belos surprisingly slaps (planet level and millions of times ftl).

Gwen vs Joylene Im guessing is a stomp for Jolyne because she scales to Jotaro and can punch meteors and with Polnarifs light feat she gets speed.

Couldn't Valentine just bring another Armstrong to cause annihilation? I think it would be funny if part of the scaling, it would cover how committed they are to their own values and seeing valentine fail to convince alternate world Armstrongs deny his proposal and eventually just resorts to sneaking him back to the main universe.

You can also tho Todd Ingram vs Akira otoishi let me list off connections because this match is based: 1. Two overly cocky and minor antagonists who truly border the line between cunning and moronic. 2. Despite being talented musicians who play their instruments in battle, they have psychic powers that aren't directly tied to this talent. 3. Their psychic powers also have a relation to vegetables (Akira's stand is called Red Hot Chili Pepper and Todd getting psychic powers from his vegan diet). 4. Both are great guitar players 5. Both lost in the end due to a weakness coming into play which depowered them just as they were gonna win ( josuke getting red hot chili pepper to fall in the ocean, and the vegan police taking away Todd’s powers) 6. Both are very arrogant and cocky at times, which usually leads to them getting put in disadvantages situations. 7. Despite this being the part of the story where their the villain, this is also the arc we’re it builds up to the main villain, with Kira being visible during the final battle when Akira absorbs moriohs power and Gideon being visible after Todd’s the defeat leaving the party. You can also do biscuit Kruger vs Lisa cause this one is also based, connections are: 1. Both are anime/manga sensei’s of older shonen series made in 1987 and 1998 respectively 2. Both use forms of life energy ( hamon and nen )to look younger despite being in their 50s 3. Both are master at their forms of life energy 4. Both help the the main character and their best get better at using their life energy power systems 5. Both train the main character and their friend so that they all can fight the 3 villains ( the piller men and the hombers ) 6. Both despite caring about their students still put them through tough trials and training to help them reach their peaks 7. Both consistently nag one of their students who talk back a lot ( Joseph and killua ) both have also been called old hags by this particular student 8. Both are associated with gems for Lisa Lisa the red stone of Aja and for bisky any gem that shiny due to being a treasure hunter 9. Both have nick names that they are mostly referred to as with their real names being Elizabeth joestar and biskys full name being biscuit Kruger 10. Both really like keeping themselves groomed with biscuits ability literally being for massages and Lisa Lisa always keeping her hair nice and having Susie Q groom her ( lets not mention the Joseph bathroom scene 🤨 )

One idea I had is Gyro vs Gojo (Masters of infinity (Gojo with his cursed techniques and Gyro with the infinite spin)) or Polnareff vs Kurapika (individuals who are very honorable people at heart, both are equally stubborn of getting their revenge regardless of the consequences but don’t go too far gone)

As someone who has done...an embarssing ammount of reaserch into JoJo Matchups (and one of them got into this Video, Diavolo VS Moon Knight), I honestly find alot of the choices here extremely confusing, especially when other opitions are out there (not trying to shame tho): Jonathan has a better Castlevaina Opponent in Leon Belmont Jotaro has Soild Snake, Kazama Kiryu (Yakuza), Tommy Oliver (Power Rangers) & Ren Fuji (Dies Irae) (altough, the latter mainly relies on Eyes of Heaven to be Fair) DIO, as least as a composite, has Beatrice from Umineko: When They Cry, which I wrote a 3000+ Word Eassy of Theamtics between them (and for Normal Part 3 DIO, there's Rugal (King of Fighters) & Griffith (Berserk)) Joskue has Ichiban (Also from Yakuza) Giorno has Taylor Herbert (Worm), Sumireko Yusami (Touhou Project) & Jackie Estacado (The Darkness) Bruno has Trafalgar Law (One Piece) Pucci has Sakuya Iyazoi (Touhou Project) & Johnny has Shirou Eyima (Fate), Maika Halfwolf (Monstress), Edward Elric (Full Metal Alchameist) & Reimu Hakurei (Touhou Project)

I agree and like most of these matchups(even Pol vs Puss would be visually funny), others baffle me(Koichi vs Uraraka and Kakioyn vs Pyrra). I do think that a really good matchup for Joseph would be Ezio Auditore. I think Kars beats Meruem mostly because Meruem doesn't really have any way to properly kill Kars(and btw, i also think Kars would be a better matchup for Muzan than Dio, and while Dio loses to Muzan Kars would win, at least in my opinion). I think Ultron beats Heaven Ascension Dio mostly because HAD has a more exploitable weakness(damaging his hands so he can't alter reality), plus, following the logic that Kars can copy and upgrade stands because of being the ultinate life form, Amazo could potentially copy those powers to also copy the stands, and with all the DC superpowers(most of which i doubt even LN Kars could replicate) he'd have an advantage(he'd have it even if he couldn't copy stands). And to be fair, Moon knight(while i don't think he's that good of a matchup to Diavolo but then again i can't think of many more) might be a Marvel character, but he's a street level one, there are actually few characters in the jojoverse that wouldn't win against him.

An idea I had for weather report is shoto todoroki they surprisingly good connections both are quiet stoic characters in a group with powers similar to them ( st group and class-1a ) They have abilities over the weather ( ice and fire and storms ) Due to a traumatic incident they don’t use their powers to their full extent ( pucci stole weathers memory disk and shoto’s mother scared him) Both have a evil sibling who they fight and lose to. ( dabi aka touya todoroki and enrico pucci ) Eventually thanks to the green haired main character of the group ( Jolyne and deku ) they finally unlock and use the full extent of their powers

I actually don't think that persona stomps jojos as easily as some might think. However this is purely dependant on which characters are matched. Because I think giorno with G.E.R could easily stomp joker. However I do think that adachi beats kira albeit maybe a little closer than you may think purely because of heart attack giving me more potential openings. It would also probably be heavily dependant on where the battles take place and what they have access to as some stands like star platinum can hold their own significantly better in a one on one scenario with no utilisation of surroundings compared to someone like josuke or bucciarati who gain more benefits from using their stands in accordance with their surroundings making it more difficult to determine than claimed. I do think that most persona characters stomp unless their facing a decently strong stand like star platinum and some like akechi or makoto(p3) just stomp outright.

For me I like josuke vs Steven universe (to the point it's one of my most wanted)

Jonathan should be faster but Simon is WAYYYY STRONGER. Also Deathbattle downplayed the shit out of Ganondorf (not saying he wins, just saying they downplayed him). Also the Kuwabara vs Okuyasu fight is funny because Kuwabara has every stat except speed and can kill Okuyasu in one hit but Okuyasu still probably wins, even according to people who don’t really care about the MU. Also also: Johnny vs Richter Belmont. Probably a JoJo win (massive difficulty). Decent connections. Final edit: Shit I never thought of Amazo vs Novel Kars but it’s such a good MU. Kars probably wins low to mid diff. Even if Amazo kills him, Kars will simply find his way back to existence.

I have a better match up for Josuke him vs Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza: like a Dragon Connections Both are bombastic, excitable protagonists who wear their hearts on their sleeve and have an optimism that typically draws people to their side. Though both reside in settings that are relatively small-time compared to the narrative heights of other parts in their series, they both have an incredibly strong sense of justice that defines their character.
