@@David-le2krShe's a soprano, of course that's bound to happen. All the greats experience more than once technical issue while performing. It doesn't make them bad ! You sound bitter.
I tried to see the clip again with an open mind.... It looks like Eartha Kitt playing Spider Woman without the magic and mystery that she inherently had. I loved the movie and loved Isabella Rosellini in the role... this feels like Ursula from the Little Mermaid.
Ooof. We saw the show last week. We had a great time, but the stunt casting of Williams, who can't act or even seem to even sing the full range of the part, is the weakest link. I would like to see it with her understudy.
@@kayc421 I'm curious why some are so invested in Williams being phenomenal when she clearly isn't in this role. She received mostly polite clapping (we didn't want to discourage her because she was trying her best), but a few in the audience whooped and hollered like they were at a pop concert. They then remained mostly unengaged when Williams was offstage and the real stars tore ups the stage to a hearty reception of laughs and applause). It's pretty clear her inclusion in the project is to bump up box office receipts from nostalgic fans of Destiny's Child.
@@David-le2kr I didn't know you were the leader of the hivemind inside that theater! What an astonishing ability you have to automatically know the feelings and thoughts of everyone around you, all at once!
I entirely agree. For me, she throws the show off balance because the other three leads are so strong. She’s simply not as good. She brings no menace or mystery to the role. The role needs delightful wickedness. The kind of thing Eartha Kitt was the master of.
@@SLisheron1she got picked for a reason… she will be in this role when the official Broadway company begins in October! She’s also a vet in the Broadway game
High pitched and shrill. I expected the Isabella Rossilini character to have a deeper, more mysterious voice, that 1920s enigmatic energy. But no, we get stunt casting in a halloween wig.
Yes, we know Michelle Williams. But you might recognize one Ensemble member from your childhood. The Ensemble member behind Michelle and giving the fierce attitude at 0:15 (Slither into Angry Teeth moment)... that's Kaleigh Cronin.... some of you may remember her from the PBS Kids show ZOOM back in the day (Seasons 3 and 4) !! And Kaleigh is also understudying Michelle (plus Megan and Jennifer)!!! A DESTINY'S CHILD member and a ZOOMER on the very same stage?!!! 2 core early 2000's throwback legends in this cast?!!! EPIC!!!
