I’m sure someone has already mentioned this but the mourning wars are 100% inspired by the mourning wars of the Iroquois/haudenosaunee/Algonquin speaking peoples of North America who carried out very similar types of wars against their rivals

I have a feeling that Orsinium will play a huge part in TES VI, and the Orcs will have their own quest line of things you can do to gain their allegiance, and you will get to visit the ashen forge

yknow, i wonder what happens to races that follow other traditions. like if a dunmer were to be raised by nords and their culture, would they go to atherius/sovengard? or would they remain a spirit in tamriel? or a khajiit who followed bosmer customs? with the daedra its relatively easy to explain that they go to that specific plane of oblivion or smth (like hircines hunting fields or apocrypha) and easy to explain the dragonborn (i at least believe akatosh just claims the soul) but with races following other religions and traditions from either converting or being raised in it its *very* interesting to me

Incorrect. Morality is taken into account by Shor. The greatest warriors In Sovngarde still need to have Nordic standards of honor. Honor is absolutely taken into account. Otherwise you'd be seeing thousands of random different Bandits everywhere.

Watchin the section on the Nords it came to me what if the Dragonborn mantles Talos and finishes the dragon crisis and after that reconquers all of Tamriel and we start as a random soldier in his Army who is there durin his conquest of the summerset isles or at the very least we assist the Dragonborn in the final story mission to do what I've said above that would be amazin to put it lightly

What if sovnegarde was a type of prison for those, with either good or bad intentions, killed a lot or died doing violent things which might actually be frowned upon, so it's an eternal place where these people do what they want to do. Some of them wouldn't care if it's a prison or not that is dressed up as a glorious afterlife, and so it for whatever reason filters out different types of nords in the after life.

I would argue it is much more common for nords to cremate their dead, at least in ancient times. Nordic tombs are filled with burial urns, almost always containing money, and sometimes jewellary. Only the greatest people and their servants/warriors were intered in the tombs

The afterlife of Trinimac-worshipping orcs sounds more appealing than the ashen forge
