I’m thinking of a ‘flood list’ Daemon Prince Tallyman Typhus 3x20 Cultists (supported by DP for 6+++) 3x 20 poxwalkers with 5+++ (1 maybe with Typhus game dependent) 3x Predator Destructor (lascannon sponsons) 3x FBD with spitters 1x Knight Deapoiler with double Battle cannon and Ruinspear rocket pod
hey guys. i took your plaquebus list to the german supermajor and did quite good. beat nids, monka tau and aeldari and lost very close to Tsons. in last game i got totally manhandelt bei spacemarine ironstorm 5:15. i struggel most against hight tougness stat check armies. With impKnights and demons monster mash coming in thundering in pariah nexus, can we get a episode of how to handel this garbage? thx and i love the content!
Very good tips! Doesn't just apply to Deathguard but these basic principles on how to build a Pariah Nexus force can be applied to every other army as well! Much appreciated!
Interestingly enough the 10 man blightlord brick has worked really well for me as they start on the board and now when armies are going to the mid board they can make a countercharge, locking up everything. Then they have to put everything into the blightlords and all my haulers and bloat drones murder and score. I have won two pariah games both with 100 and narrowly lost against one of the best Ork players in the world playing a dread mob grot spam.
How do you feel about Plaguebearers? 110 points isn't the cheapest but for what seems like a durable Battleline with deep strike they could be pretty neat for Rapid Ingress to flip a backline objective if you're not worried about killing everything there. I could see an argument of them vs Blightlords. BL are tougher but have lower OC and a bit more damage and cost 45 points more.
I want to try them myself the OC2 and 8" charge deepstrike is very interesting and they're fairy tough for points. I prefer them over blighters probably
New DG player here. What’s peoples views on taking Rotigus or Great Unclean One in a list? On paper it makes sense - hugely tanky, relatively cheap unit to sit on an objective but want to get experienced players views
Why not spam 7 marines with a leader or 2 , doesn't hive up the extra attack for blast for being 10, and marines are cheaper in 7 man? More survivable to complete actions than 5 man units. 1 7 with tallyman in the back to defend Rhino can take a 5 and a 7 man or 5 and 5 and 2 sorcerers for plague bus etc
If we take a 5-man PM squad, what would be the best way to run them? I am so use to running two 10 man pm squads that I feel lost with a 5 man. Also, I have one drone with fleshmower. If I was to take two more, which ones would be ideal?
I cant take Vanguard serious. They literally said that DG were fine upon the start of 10th. How can you say that when you compare them to Eldar who were absurdly strong on launch?
I like, and appreciate your videos! However, its always so hard to hear you without turning my sound way up, I dont seem to have this issue with any other videos. Does anyone else notice this?
I don't understand what you said about tagging a Rhino to keep it from doing an action (about 7 min in) - the rule you're showing just states that it cannot START an action. A Rhino could then start an action, and then if it gets charged, it doesn't stop it from finishing the action. Am I missing something?
What he's saying is that its worthwhile to throw (in his example Poxwalkers) units into vehicles they can't kill to prevent them from doing actions. They can't perform an action if they fall back.
I actually have been testing a 50 plague marine horde build with 3 plod squads and 3 bloat drones for utility (2 fleshmowers and 1 flamer to protect home objective). It actually worked pretty well and outside of some tactical blunders on my part, it works very well and applies a lot of pressure onto your opponent and overloads them with targets they have to clear. It's a learning curve for me since I"m not used to playing pressure lists, but I think it's absolutely viable and a list that can kill everything on the board.
Now that we see results from the first weekend of the new mfm and slate, death guard nerfs have indeed pushed us back into the "needs help" section of the army tier list. Great job, GW - nerf the characters we *need* to run our army, and keep points high on a primarily indirect unit that wasn't even an auto include before the indirect nerf. 45% win rate feels bad.
I wouldn't worry too much about first week results I predicted the initial drop but people will adjust and stabilise we still had 1 event win from DG and 2 4-1 placings so there's hope :) but yeah I honestly think DG could of just got no changes and we'd of been fine
@@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien Agreed, it's not pure doom and gloom, but a nerf into a sub 50 win rate feels bad. And we know the Typhus lone op oversight is just that. It will also be nerfed, as it should be, but still.
Despoiler with Gatling Cannon and Big Melta has been great for my Chaos Knights, tempted to give him a run with DG, he can run through a wall do an action and shoot, so cool.
Had to play DG v DG in an RTT two days ago. The opposing list went super aggressive, Morty, 3pbc, typhus and lov with 2 3x dst, 2 karnivores, 3 BD with mowers, nurglings and cultists. He took 2nd out of 34 players and it was insane how fast and aggressive it was. It was so hard to score against.
I honestly believe it was a mistake for GW to reduce the playing board size down from the original 6x4. It is part of the reason why he got 2nd place with that list.
Personally I’m feeling super burnt out with death guard they’re not really fun to play and are so painfully predictable and linear with no good tricks . Feeling like my lists are moving towards more and more allies to keep them feeling good
Totally understandable mate I think that's only going to be remedied by a codex and unfortunately we still have no idea when that's coming sadly, but if your feeling burnt out if you have another army maybe give them a spin for a bit don't force yourself to play anything if your not feeling it even if it is our beloved stinky boys. You'll come back one day.... I know it.. :P
Ive deffinately been eyeballing the double battle cannon despoiler, just pulled him off the printer. Despoiler w battlecannons, 3 foetid bloat drones, plague bus, standard 10 man of plague marines led by BP+FBSpawn and the rest filled in with deathshroud, cultists, nurglings. The Despoiler with battlecannons and -1sv/T seems cool. I think another channel, General Jannis (?) Did a big data rundown on it. Deffinately seems more interesting than 3xPBCs anymore.
@@seanalonzo9244 I hate onagers, 2+/4++. 3 Str 16 shots at D6+2 hitting on 2s re-rolling 1s. -1 to hit in melee all for 160 points. You can pay 60 points for a tech priest to give it a 5+ FNP and heal D3 wounds, while the presets has Lone Op. Brother it was a slog.
@cgb1995 I'm currently in the process of building a 2nd Onager I picked up before the dataslate. Giving my as mec army a chance while I take a break from DG. The lack of a codex gas gotten boring.
I generally abhor the amount of bile (ha) dumped on Eldar on this channel since I started there, but I LOVE my new DG army, and thus this channel...but 100% agree with not being a douchebag around pivots and whatnot. Can we not just be reasonable and non-abusive?? Have a solid little group to play with, so haven't ran into that at all, but I can see people meta gaming for the worse if they want. Hope that's not a trend in the scene...
Really wish Chaos Spawn had gotten a points cut, now that Nurglings are off little worse, having reasonably mobile, reasonably tough models running around and scoring secondary points from actions could have been really valuable. But at 70 points for 2 models they are just overcosted. At 50 I would actually consider them.
Keep making these. I love your videos. What's your thoughts on a Hellbrute in a ranged build list tagging for -1sv.... worth the points for a rear screen as well???
I think the chaff survival desire means poxwalkers are worth looking at harder again. +1 armor, FNP, and if you want to invest you could even Go to Ground to give them the invuln
Also do you think the meta as a whole will shift more towards MSU Lists to score? Wont that bump DGs win rate % with all the anti infantry in our lists?
Thanks Aidan. Played my first game of PN against eldar the other day and had 3 PBCs and still loved them. Their direct fire is decent and they still clean up eldar scoring trash decently well. Appreciate all the work u put into this channel.
