Death of an Endless Summer - An Interview with Tyler Lyle 

Thanks for the awesome interview! Tyler and Tim are such awesome guys. Tyler probably has heard or seen me say this story too many times over the years on social media whenever he does interviews lol, but I’ll share it anyway until I can meet him again one day and share an update: Back in April of 2019 Tyler, Tim, and a very talented sax player they had touring with them at the time (right before Royce and his wife Leila joined the band) played a very intimate show with just a couple hundred people at an event called Meow Wolf back in Santa Fe, New Mexico that I had the pleasure of going to. It was my 1st and only The Midnight concert so far. The sound system was pretty basic, but their talent shined that night. After the show ended, I had the chance to meet Tyler and Tim. I gave them a burnt CD of guitar covers I did of their music from RU-vid and had Tim sign a vinyl I had of Nocturnal. Tim was estatic and even said “Jason!” When I told him my name haha. They were so humble and nice to me and every other fan there. I remember even there was a teenager who was shy to hug Tyler and asked him if it was ok and Tyler was like “of course!” and gave him a hug. It was one of kindest things I have ever seen any artist do for a fan. They took a photo with many fans too (including me).

The Midnight doing a comic? Wow. I love that! (And yes I call it a comic because sequential art in panels is a comic and graphic novel is just a publishing term for putting multiple issues of a comic into one book.) Edit: Also, I hope Tyler knows that not everyone dislikes Heroes. There are a few tracks I really really REALLY love on that album.

I love this, I could listen to this all day. Interestingly enough, I prefer listening to The Midnight when I have a bad day, as they make me think about the beauty of life

Found this from seeing The Midnight post on their Instagram, and glad I did. Love the vibe man, rather than two people just talking at each other, it seemed like a genuine conversation. Brill to listen to!
