Did anglia used their rotating knight at the beginning of all the episodes of this when ITV first showed this in 1973?

Loved the story and the performances but the conclusion was disappointing. The slapping scene at the party (11:57) looked painfully realistic.

So she killed herself by stabbing herself accidentally?

Yep. Self-inflicted wound. Seems really unlikely. If you stab at something that won't yield, the chances of losing your grip on the knife and dropping it is far greater than completing an arc of the swing and stabbing yourself.

Reminds me of the finale of the film "The Whip and the Body" (1963)

@@AlanSmitheeman Also, it's going to gouge the hell out of the paint, whether it dings the Masonite or not. (And it's just fibreboard, not "hard as steel". The knife point is definitely going to dig into it.) The premise of this show isn't great, but it's still a great example of 70s mystery television. I remember seeing it on-air when I was a kid.

How are we supposed to concentrate with the crazy whacy music in the background 🫢🫢 I know the play was made not too long after the psychedelic 1960s but did the director have to be on LSD 🤭🤭 x

All that synthetic moog synthesizer music was all the rage in the early 70s because it was new. But obviously they had bad sound engineering for that TV show.
