Death of heroes: Super Sentai (In Battle) 

The Sentai teams need to stop fighting around beaches! So many deaths happen there!

I hate that in the US people always get offended about kids watching these shows yet buy their kids mortal kombat, call of duty etc etc. They kill the experience for other people. At least in japan they made the show realistic that good guys cant always win.

So... If we have the same death footage in the States.. Tommy Oliver, Trent Mercer, and Eric Myers would've bitten the dust!?

one of the reasons why I love Super Sentai, it is so much more darker and more realistic, when fighting to save the world or protecting the ones they love, there will come the time when one of the good guys will sacrifice their lives to protect the ones they love and the world, unselfishly and without hesitation.

Damn, imagine if they actually did that with the Wild Force Rangers. Oh my god that would've been so tramutizing.

Kinda makes you appreciate PR Lost Galaxy choosing to kill off its Pink Ranger, when you realize how much that show avoids killing the heroes, despite the violence in the show. I know it was because the actor had leukemia, but they could have done a number of things to write the character off, and instead they chose a heroic sacrifice.

Power rangers couldn't even say "Kill" in their show, shows how greenhousing it is compared to Sentai.

Super Sentai kills heroes being more realistic showing that heroes can't always win. The Power Rangers all lose their powers yet fight on even without them.

I know these deaths are supposed to be sad but can we all just agree that with a few of these deaths, specifically the first few, are honestly hilarious how they fall to the ground. It's like they're trying to dance but just ends up failing and looking ridiculous and ends up tripping and falling.

So DragonRanger, TimeFire, and AbareKiller all died in their respective seasons.... that could be how they showed up in Ikari Gai's dream to give him his Silver Ranger Powers in Gokaiger

You forgot one: Dr. Ashura from Liveman. He sacrificed himself up by blowing himself and a monster up to help Liveman. It was his act of atonement.

Even if your a Power Rangers fan, give Sentai this, they actually had the guts to kill their main characters off. The only times I can think of when Power Rangers killed a ranger off was Kendrix in Lost Galaxy and Roboknight from Megaforce. Though Kendrix was revived at the end. Though I do suppose if we're counting all heroes, they did kill Zordon off too.

Tommy Oliver almost died in mmpr . Saban was keeping the burai arc but decided to keep him from dying due to his popularity.

So if this appeared in the states we would have lost, Tommy oliver (MMPR) Magna defender (lost galaxy) Eric myers (time force) Max, taylor, danny, and alyssa (wild force) Cameron Watanabe (ninja storm) Trent (dino thunder) Udonna, wolf warrior and daggeron (mystic force) Camile and Jarrod (jungle fury) Nate adams, and all of the rangers (beast morphers) And Dino charge silver (dino charge)? Dang toei.

All of these were pretty sad, but the ones that nearly made me choke up were the deaths in Timeranger, Gaoranger, and Go-Busters.

I actually love how there was a sentai who wasn't the typical skinny pretty boy they usually use for most male sentai

Rio is one of my favourite character and his arc was practically flawless

I make no apologies whatsoever to anyone who doesn't like what I'm about to say. Western standards for what 'should' be allowed in kids' TV shows are total garbage compared to Japan. Power Rangers needs more scenes like the ones in this video.

I do remember they did kill Alex in Time Force. He did come back due to the altering of the past, but still. They also killed Kendrick in Lost Galaxy and she didn’t even die in the Sentai. The actress had undergo treatment for leukemia so she left the show but they did revive the character in the last episode, but still it was the first time a Power Ranger died.

Power Rangers and Super Sentai teams all hold the same code of fighting until they can no longer do so. The older Power Ranger teams were more than willing to give up their lives. Hell, it happened to the Pink Lost Galaxy ranger. Just watch the climax of the final battle in Wild Force and listen to those rangers give their valiant speech. I promise you they would actually be dying if they were allowed to. But nooooo... "American kids can't handle seeing their favourite heroes die like Japanese kids can." Just because the Power Rangers don't die doesn't mean they're not just as brave or selfless as a Super Sentai.

For me the worst death is Jet Black Condor from Jetman. He lost his chance to win Pink Swan's heart, but ended with the leader. Then he got stabbed by a robber in the last episode, which is the day of the wedding of the 2 members (Red and Pink member)
