@@senister14 because it serves his purpose to have Aegon II, a very malleable young king, as a puppet. More power to Larys Strong, everyone is out of themselves in this world anyway.
@joetheperformer okay but that still doesn't mean why he would side with him, considering he never asks or talks about wanting anything. Yes, but Larys is always a mystery, even in the book it was never revealed what he really wanted.
@Karsielatee fair comment but he broke it rather than habe Jeyne Westerling being "soiled"as they say and obviously he fell in love afer meeting her at the Crag
Larys is basically a combination of littlefinger and varys Larys l from littlefinger, v from varys He's crippled because of his clubfoot. Varys is castrated. Larys is the lord of harrenhal. Littlefinger is also a lord of harrenhal. Littlefinger got promoted because he knew the hand of the king, jon arryn whom esteemed his talents. Larys also knew the hand of the king: his own father. Varys was master of whispers. Larys is master of whispers. Larys supported the targaryen king in a siege of kings landing (though they're on opposite sides as aegon ii was retaking the city whereas varys and aerys ii were defending the city). Both larys and littlefinger are in opposition to their own bastard relatives (if sweetrobin is true littlefinger is in opposition to his bastard son, whereas larys is in opposition to his bastard nephews). Both larys and varys supposedly smuggled an aegon targaryen out of kings landing whilst it was being attacked (varys smuggled out rhaegars son, aegon, whereas larys smuggled out aegon ii) Both larys and littlefinger poison cruel young male kings (larys poisons aegon ii, littlefinger poisoned joffrey). Both larys and varys support the restoration of a king aegon to the throne. Both larys and littlefinger are sussed out by dwarves (tyrion guesses that it was littlefinger whom gave the catspaws dagger to joffrey and that he intentionally set the economy up to implode when he wasn't running it, mushroom guesses that larys is behind the rumours that helaena was murdered). Both larys and most likely littlefinger are executed by starks (littlefinger by sansa, larys by cregan). Both larys and littlefinger work for a scheming queen dowager whose son they later kill Both larys and varys continue to undermine the occupants of the red keep even with said occupants effectively operating on KOS for them (larys stirring up the peasants in kings landing, varys assassinating Kevan lannister). There are probably many more comparisons but I need to go home now and don't have time to text more.
Not Aegon the second, Aegon the third, Raenyra’s son, Who was made king after her death. Cregan served as his and after the war. Starks NEVER forget their oaths.
Winter wolves don’t arrive with cregan stark. They were just a standing army cregan stark kept that was sent to fight in the war while cregan stark gathered his forces. They got wiped out of existence during the war
Tbh in his first appearance where he had to sit out the hunting when the others were all going he was sympathetic, and the actor is fantastic but on the whole I agree, the foot fetish thing was too over the top, in the fire and blood book he came across much more subtle
He was very succesfull in wiping out of his own house. But his brother which didn't have legitimate children and Aemond who wipe out whole family of his uncle helped. 😅
The greens existed of opportunists, brutes, traditionalists and brutes. They only did as well as they did, because of the genius strategists and mooronic actions of Rheanyra and Daemob
@@nicksmithnutmilk That was a sad fate for the Targaryens. Their civil war has cause them much more destruction rather than the Doom of Old Valyria. I'm still wondering if Jon Snow could bring back the Targaryen line though?.
@@HannieRie in the books Daenerys , Jon and Rhaegar's son ( Aegon who was killed by Gregor in GOT actually lives in Essos , he somehow escaped in the books or I don't know )
@@nicksmithnutmilk Jon and Rhaegar? Or Jon and Daenerys? I'm really confused in your reply because those two are father and son. While the second is Nephew and Aunt.
@@HannieRie in the books Daenerys and Jon are both alive . Rhaegar had 2 kids ( Rhaenys and Aegon ) with Elia Martell before he ran off with Lyanna . The boy , Aegon is also alive in the books so Jon's aunt and half brother are still alive . Got it ?
Some people are very dumb and immature dumb enough to not able to separate a fictional character from the real actors so they ended up harassing and hating the actor in real life for playing a villain or unlikeable fictional character 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Aegon was on his way to becoming exactly that in his early years of rule until he developed a backbone and stood up to his own kings guard and hand of the king during the kings guard rebellion
… Lord Lynol was one of my favorite characters. He was loyal, faithful & trustworthy. The only one on king’s Virserys council that didn’t BS Virserys… Loved it when Lynol yelled at Herwin for getting the princess pregnant 3Xs…. When Lord Lynol became the hand, first thing he should’ve done was send Larys back to Harranhal since the king saw no use of the master of whispers.
Probably because his actor had to change his looks for another role and didn’t have time to get back to how he looked when shooting for season 2 started
He didnt do anything to help aegon take dragonstone except send him to dragonstone. He did however facilitate the betrayal by ser perkin the flea of ser trystane truefyre, leading to aegon reconquering the red keep without a fight.
He could have opted to serve at the Watch and from there he could manipulated his rise to the ranks. Like Samuel Tarly, he can’t be a knight watch but worked in the kitchen
Who would he have chosen as champion. No body in the court liked him because he was a lord of a minor house who rose to prominence. He is handicapped so it wouldn’t have been a fair fight
