One thing I especially like is that in the The Witch of Urns Grandma fight, the debris of the urns she breaks stay on the battlefield instead of fading away or just completely vanishing like in other games, and they fly off when the Grandma spins across the area, it adds some realism since shards of broken glass wouldn’t suddenly vanish without a reason Also imagine being a lord of doors? Yeah they make the power look incredibly cool but just the whole title makes me chuckle every time I see it
I love the fact that dose that to but also how the frog can eat the bomb I never that at first until this video but I very much love the music it so nice to hear
By the way did you know there are four secret bosses? When you defeat them you get upgraded powers like a stronger bow, fire, bombs and grapple and if you have trouble with the boss I would recommend the daggers
Pro tip: there are some gimmicks in this game that allows you to stun the bosses like the urn witch (using fire ball and aim at her while she is inside the pot(5:41)and the swamp king(using explosive spell while he is vacuuming the field). Both give achievements. Unfortunately Betty does not have that gimmick
And I also love how you get to use your newly acquired skill (Fireball or Bomb) within the same region you received it, respectively. Back to your concern, I totally agree! There is no healing skill for any of the bosses in the game but it would be really cool if Betty tried to eat the ice stalagmites/stalactites to regenerate a little bit of health (just like how we gain energy from hitting them) but was stopped and pulled back by our grappling hook ability, also being stunned for like a second or two.

I like how the game give the Swamp King a super long title, yet he didn't even give a good fight Also, you said The Grey Crow is a secret boss, how do you encounter him?
To fight the grey crow you need to get the 3 giant souls and then go beyond the door. It’s not a secret through it’s a boss required to complete the story

Betty and The Fire Silent Servant are two of the hardest bosses I ever faced upon my replay. (I replayed it 1 and a half years later) but my memory let me handle most of the bosses easily. Betty though got me really good.
BEST: Guardian Of The Door, Grandma, Grey Crow, Grave Digger, Last Lord WORST: Frog King, Betty, Lord Of Doors (only my opinion, finished the game today and i fucking love it) ps: first boss is kinda just a tutorial so i'm not gonna rate it as best or worst, i guess medium lmao
@@panthertakamaki7141 the frog boss i thought was too "guimicky", it's the only boss with a specific way to kill. All the other ones you could hit them whenever you wanted, this one is more like a crash bandicoot boss, which is not my cup of tea yk? betty was just kinda lame idk

yea couldnt let it down, the game is amaaaazing. everything about it is perfect. puzzle are very doable, its an open world but u never get lost, Controls is perfect, Graphics are unique and music it Superb

How is this game? I love the way it looks and gameplay looks solid. I just beat carrion a few months ago & really like Devolver as a company but i got so many games to catch up on !!
Be ready to backtrack a LOT to look for secrets. That was my least favorite part about the game. Though, it's totally worth the $20. Music, gameplay, and profound story alone are what really got me hooked
@@chonky.mp4 That's true. That's actually one of the better games lore-wise. Not even because of how complicated it was, no. Exactly because it wasn't too complicated, the devs were able to give us a satisfying conclusion of the story with a slight hint indicating there might be a possible continuation

Late but after you beat the lord of doors, you can find a Key that opens up the bell tower; go to It and hit the bell to switch to night time. After that you can find a secret path at the end of the old watch tower; once you got the Shiny object inside go to the gravedigger's house (still at night) and you got It.

Sadly, the only bosses that gave me serious trouble in this game were the grey crow and both sections of the lord of doors fight (last lord included), betty was too short imo, all the hype up to it from the bard and crows was a let down. Frog king was pretty cool ig, especially cuz of the zote title reference. Grandma was a hype boss. That isn’t to say theses bosses weren’t fun though, I had a blast playing this game and all of the bosses felt pretty balanced and were really well done! Had a great time getting 100%, now attempting ‘umbrella%’.

My phone screens all screwed up. Basically im... playing all kinds of games in my backlog and I'm getting through a bunch of em. But this one has causes me so much frustration in navigation, and the bosses themselves are manageable but getting to the bosses is very annoying. Im....I'm tired of trying the Trial of Averice over and over to progress. I'm too weak and I dont want to grind for another 2 hours just to upgrade One stat
