Lord Shen: "The dead exist in the past, and I must tend to the future." Death: Where you're going, there is no future.

“Wait a minute... *you’re* not one of my wolves...”. “Oh, no, Shen, I’m more than that. *Much* more...”.

“Can’t you see? It’s a gift. It’s a parting gift, in that it will part you. Part of you here, part of you there, and part of you waaaay over there, staining the wall!”

So stood a Warrior of Black and White, one who fights with Fate's grand design in plan to prevent those who perverts it. As the Warrior's whistle is heard, the arrogant peacock felt fear for the first time. The Fear of Death.

As Lord Shen sails through the seas, he hasn’t figured it out that it’s his last sailing, The peacock then heard a terrifying-soft melody whistle from a distance afar, he has seen a wolf with black cloaking walking on the water as he whistle to walk through the seas to arrive on the ship where the Peacock was, Lord shen yelled out *Fire at him!* but his army seems confuse and ask “Where, sir?” Lord Shen then felt shiver on his spine, the wolf that kept whistling is getting closer & closer.. The peacock asks the wolf in black cloaking “You are not the Warrior in Black & White, you are..” The Cunning & Sinister wolf began to speak “Death, and I don’t mean it Metaphorically, or Rhetorically, or poetically, or theoretically, or any other fancy way, *I’m Death, Straight. Up.* and I’ve come for you, Lord Shen.” At that night, nobody knew what happened to Lord Shen and his Ships, all they know is that they met their demise.

"Everyone thinks they'll be the one to defeat me.But no one escaped me yet." This quite actually fits pretty well in Shen's situation.He tried to change his fate forgetting that no one can escape death.

Imagine the two of them cooperating to achieve their goals. Unstoppable duo!

Shen: "You are no wolf servant of my you are" Mysterious wolf: Death! And I've come for you lord Shen

Lord Shen stood on the bow of the lead ship of his mighty fleet. He had just defeated the Dragon Warrior himself! He had fired the cannonball as soon as he saw the Panda, not wasting any time. At last the Soothsayer was proved wrong. Suddenly, one of his wolves alerted him of a strange sight up ahead. Shen noticed that this figure was cloaked in black, but he could barely make out his features. It appeared to be canine in nature, with black and grey fur. Or was it black and white? Shen pushed forward. “What is your business here?!” He shouts, a hint of nervousness behind his stern question. “You’ve ended the lives of many whose times had not yet arrived. They’re waiting for you to join them, Lord Shen.” Suddenly, standing atop the ship’s bow, surrounded by whimpering wolf soldiers, Lord Shen felt something. Something he had felt when he first saw the Soothsayer’s prophecy. And when he had heard about the existence of one last panda. And when he had seen that same Panda return once again upon the rooftops up ahead after a supposed death. As a Peacock, and being naturally at a disadvantage of vulnerability, Lord Shen was accustomed to the feeling at this point. But he had never felt it as extreme as this. He felt *fear.*

I've heard this time and time again, Shen did not fear death, he feared defeat. Hence, in this version of death, Shen would fight to the end, fearing defeat by him

“You’re no warrior of black and white. You are…” “Death. And I don’t mean it metaphorically, or rhetorically, or poetically, or theoretically, or in any other fancy way. I'm Death. Straight up. And I've come for you, Lord Shen.” “But I’m still alive…” “Not for long…” “What do you mean?!” “You’ll find out soon enough… (chuckles sinisterly)”

Omg, this is so perfect!! I love Lord Shen, he's my favourite Dreamworks villain, and combining his theme with our newly beloved Death Wolf... Beyond what I could ask for

I love the differences in tone for each mashup with Death. With Kai, it feels like it was more of struggle for Death to take Kai, because it would be very obvious that he'd put up a fight. With Lord Shen, this feels like Shen is desperately trying to fight back, even though he already lost the minute the battle began.

Death, straight up, stars Shen down as he emerges from the ashes of his own creation, sighing with disappointment but knowing what was coming to him. Death whistles subtly as he approaches Shen, who notices him and drops his blade, accepting fate. Death stops whistling and sighs before speaking. “You were warned, and now you’re here. Do you accept fate?” Shen replies. “Yes. Take me away. I am blameful,” The two then walk into the unknown, ready to finally move on.

The soothsayer's words ring distantly in the back of his mind, and Shen rages. His fleet lies broken, his forces shattered. Yet even still, the bearer of his fatal prophecy stands before him, and he is resolved. With savage grace he slashes, fine steel carving through hot air, elegant spearwork and desperate fury joining forces, lashing out at this irritation, this eyesore, defiant in its refusal to die. Yet he does not see, as his sweeping strikes cut through ropes as wheat before a farmer's scythe. It is only when a shadow smothers him that he notices, turning his eyes skyward toward the monolith of twisted steel, his sundered ambition rushing towards him-- And in its shadow, he stops. Rage melts away. Desperation dissolves. He closes his eyes, a sensation of strange relief washing over him, and all at once he understands. On the wind, there is a song. Behind closed lids, in Shen's mind's eye, a figure, silhouetted and distant. The melody a whistle, simple and unadorned. It is only now that Shen realises its meaning, grasps the full scope of its finality, and in that moment of acceptance, all else is eclipsed. He releases his spear. There is a flash, an eruption of noise and heat and light as he has never known-- And then, there is silence.

A snarl is heard, as the clash of blades was precursor to the end of the martial palace, feathers fluttered from the gusts of wind that exhume with each blow, an aura wisped from the wolf, and soon resonated the grounds and bespoke of invincible prowess. Death had made it's appearance, the final strike of metal launched the peacock's weapon to the earth, and with each step forth, a twirl of the dual sickles and an ominous whistle that bespoke of the end. Came death's final words. "Death. Is. Your. Mercy." Deep reds painted the emerald and ivory walls as the sound of flesh tumbles to the floor. The conclusion had been reached, and thus marks the end.

Am I the only one that sees the immense similarities between Lord Shen and Lord Voldemort?? 1. They both murdered the protagonists parents 2. They both nearly conquered their home countries but failed at the last moment of asking 3. They were both cast out of society for years before returning again 4. They both sought to kill the protagonist who had been foretold (in a prophecy) to destroy them when the protagonist was a child 5. They were both killed by their own weapons 6. They both spend their final seconds of life looking up into the sky There's just too much coincidences in plot and storyline for me to keep this to myself!!

Shen walked across a empty field his head still hurted after his last battle with that foul…wait where was the White Peacock his head turned as he was no longer on his ship nor was he even in his homeland the silence filled his ears as he walked around until suddenly he could hear a whistle from afar that sound of something he had been trying to avoid his entire life his eyes darted around trying to find the source of the sound as his eyes landed on a figure from afar holding two scythe’s and wearing a hood a wolf but not like the ones that served under Shen this one felt different as this wolf’s red eyes pierced into Shen’s soul the Wolf came closer Shen’s body freezing up on realising he couldn’t move why was that? Was it because of this wolf or was he afraid? Those questions ran through his mind until the massive wolf towered over him Shen: You…You are no Warrior of Black And White What are you? Death: Im Death and i dont mean it Metaphorically or poetically or Rhetorically or Theorically or in any other fancy way…Im Death Straight Up and I’ve come for you Lord Shen

Best DreamWorks villains

To me, the relationship between these two characters makes this mashup even MORE epic - taking into consideration the fact that after his defeat, Shen remained still and accepted his death rather than fleeing from it.

In Danish these two characters are voiced by the same actor. Back when I was going to watch The Last Wish in theaters, I read beforehand that it was him and I immediately thought ‘oh this is going to be good, then’

Damn that sounds amazing I love it But I still can’t understand some of the commentators. Wdym they would be buddies? Shen clings to the future and calmly sheds blood to achieve his goals and change his destiny. I would say he is afraid of death, otherwise he would not have started to carry out the genocide of pandas after learning about the prophecy. Death in turn does his job, he's not a killer damn it. So, they would rather fight each other than unite. And if we saw this, I'm sure this mashup would be playing in the background✨

Shen's last sight was of course the sight of death. He accepted it. But who was truly the culprit here? Black and white makes gray, gray for fur? Or for feathers? Is it an Embodiment? Or an Emperor? Was it the sword? Or Sickles? The warrior may have been black and white. But who's to say it couldn't be both? The pillar fell, yes. But it's was all up to Shen on if he wanted to fall into the paws of Death, or to fly. If he could show if his chi was stronger than we thought. But it's too late now, we watched, as Shen heard the final whistles of Death.
