Kojima games are like watching Evangelion: I can't stop watching, I am fully invested, but I know by the end I will have zero idea of what is really going on.
Personally, ya, it’s cool; very cool, but if you know anything about prosthetics, the robotics in DS2 lean towards Össur rather than Ottobock, which could be improved.
@@joechip6550 Pretentiousness? Nah, I literally have an Ottobock prosthetic leg. I consider Ottobock more advanced which would also explain why this design choice was made since it may be harder to render. Another example is the runner in the Marathon trailer is sporting Össur style while the sniper-Ottobock.
@@AlphaOmegon u really don't know Kojima and it's predictable for those who know about lovecraft and HR GIGER . ;) (I know , u just made a clout comment)

can we just appreciate that we now live in a time where you can actually say that, where a games actually capture a performance so clearly it has identity. It really is at another level now, I just hope game writing can keep up lol.
@@neattricks7678Death Stranding looks consistent during gameplay and cutscenes. You would be surprised how similar it looks if you play the game. It's one of the most beautiful games out there graphic-wise.
@@MadnesS8705 You cant be serious... This was talked about the most when Death stranding 1 was released. Everyone was speculating about the actual gameplay before release. Then when it released 99% of people didnt expect the gameplay to be so bland after seeing all the trailers... This trailer is the exact same stuff, youre just biassed because you played death stranding 1 so you know what the actual gameplay looks like.
@@KevsShwaShwa While that is certainly true in some aspects of his writing (not all of it), I do love his imagination when it comes to designs and worldbuilding
something VERY cool I noticed, At the end some books are shown, The Voyage of the Beagle by Charles Darwin above the Moby D book when Sam is laying down at 9:09. Moby D which was used as a metaphor for MGSV, and the Voyage of the Beagle, in which Darwin visited tropical, new habitats where he saw many plants and animals he had never seen before, and helped him form his theory of evolution. The purpose of the Beagle's voyage was to survey the coast of South America. Charles Darwin was invited on board as the Captain's Companion and naturalist. In his time aboard the Beagle, Darwin would describe and collect many new types of animals and plants.
You can’t have stuff like that in a such a serious toned game….. looks so out of place. Now if it was a silly game with a guy using a guitar as a wepone DMC 3 style I would buy that day one! But this this just looks so pretentiously cringy
The fact we got this shown off and Hideo Kojima teasing afterwards that he's working on a new action espionage game that will be a culmination of all his prior work is just amazing.
@@RickRossBigBoss- Oh ffs really? 🥴 THAT'S the most cringe thing you've ever read?! lol The exaggeration that ya'll do trying to insult people is honestly what's so cringe. Get over yourself jfc.
I didnt beatb death stranding before the reveal of the sequel, but as soon as it starting playing during the state of play i STOPPED IT, went and reinstalled death stranding directors cut on the ps5, and played it from start to finish in about a months time (mostly on the ps portal)… now im back here. It was worth it.
Check his previous ones as well, if you haven't already. Sins of the Father playing in the MGS V trailer was amazing, and BB's Theme playing in the original Death Stranding trailer was perfect as well... I've come to realize Kojima is just a brilliant director, he always knows how to excite his audience with his trailers and get people curious about the narrative's themes, simply through his curious visual storytelling and Yoji's Shinkawa's intricate mechanical and character designs.
I wonder if Kojima Productions' trailer team intentionally picks the most batshit insane sequences and shots that make zero sense and are just nutso when watched without context
Yeah, that was a pretty Kojima moment. But I held it together until the lightning- shooting electric guitar axe vs. the goo-goo baby robot samurai fight happened.
Death Stranding is a tool that creates emotions, the kind that stick to your skin and carve out a space of their own in your head. It's difficult to feel more worried and enthralled at the same time by/to a video game, as far as I'm concerned it's happened to me very few other times. And indeed, I would say that I have never felt similar sensations before: an inexplicable and in its own way lovable anguish, an infinite and unique charm. I don't remember a single mission before which I didn't feel tired, and yet I couldn't tear myself away from that world. Death Stranding was the best virtual pain I've ever inflicted on myself, also because it is studded with a rare and unforgettable form of beauty.
by far my favorite sign of this trailer is the new enviornments. savanahs, deserts, the moon, avalanche-filled Mountains, it truly seems like it will be an achievement to overcome such harsh terrain and looks to be far more tolerable if not full-on enjoyable in this game compared to the last (which was still enjoyable but hard to push through at times).
yeah I think in ds2 we will be traveling around world, we will not be on one location entire game. Since trailer shows that our base will be a ship and we will be in very different locations throughout game, snow, sand, mountains
Man, I swear Hideo is just on another level from everyone else. Always was, still is. The sheer goosebumps you feel watching his content is incomparable.
yeah, i noticed that, u can see him even smile more, event if it is just a bit and i think his fear of touching people is a bit gone too, when he rushes to help the floating girl
This looks so cool. Kojijma is a legit creative genius. I miss Metal Gear, but I'm glad to see him doing something new with his imagination. I've been wanting to see him branch out ever since the PS2 days when he was saying he wanted to move on from MG but Konami kept forcing him back.
How come no one is asking why Higgs looks like Amelie now? He now has her hair, he’s wearing her necklace, he even moves more…. “feminine” this time around. Did he somehow come back from the Beach as a mixture of her, similar to Metal Gear Solid 2 with how Liquid came back through Ocelot?
It makes sense. He was the only person left on Amelie's beach before she shut everyone out, and we know she has the ability to send people back. Perhaps he merged and used her somehow to repatriate himself.
We're in Mexico now, there's big hand tarantula bt's, base of operations is a boat, Sam is old, there's a puppet deadman, and Higgs turns into a drag queen. Kojima is a genius.
I have come back to this trailer so many times over the past 2 months and every time I watch it, I ache even more with anticipation. I need this game. Death Stranding is one of the coolest games I’ve ever played. I NEED THIS GAME.
I was gonna made that comment, but yes we need low roar tribute in the credits so we can remember him and not forgotten his music, and of course he might be gone from this world but his music lives on
A low-frame Alan Wake puppet as your guide - That’s the most Kojima thing I’ve ever seen Higgs back with a joker face, ironman suit and with an electric guitar that shoots lasers and also used as an axe - I stand corrected 😅
Even if it leaves us with questions, I always appreciate the amount of details and art that goes with these shots that only Kojima knows how to produce? Truly looking at a genius in his craft.
Do you understand English grammar? When you make a statment you either end it with a period or exclamation point, not a question mark. No wonder you think hacks are "geniuses".

@@RetrovexAmbientit was a great gameplay, very different from other AAAs, not for everyone but clearly not bad. I love more all public things, but we need big productions which try news things.
Yuji Shimomura which listed as Action Director is the cutscene director for DMC 3-5 and Bayonetta. Also movie like Kingdom II / Alice in Borderland / Inuyashiki / Gantz
Fanning's character during the talk of tar is something else, the strings, jarred movements, and near empty eyes.... I wonder who's the named mantis this time...
You will go everywhere you want, even the moon. Clifford said something like that in pod flashback while showing book with pictures of the earth and the moon.
