After watching this atmospheric trailer I have decided that Death Stranding going to be my next purchase after Bloodborne. In this era where most of games are milking their titles and ideas, it's hard to find games like these.

Everyone is so blow away by how beautiful and intense the game looks, but I don't think any of them can make heads or tails of what the hell' seen going on.

I think the dimension between the human world and the unseen world is destroyed so that the phenomenon that exists in the game becomes that way.

My early theories based off opinions and kojimas little info i want to know the connection with the umbilical cords those things have them that pull him down as well as the babies ive noticed to all those hand prints on him at all times must be from him getting pulled down at the end of the trailer kojima has said there is no dying in this game i think where the woman is at the end is where you go when you die in the game im assuming norman reedus character delivers his deliveries and dies all the time like a loop hes stuck in hes obviously trying to save the earth from whats going on as kojima has said and so far hes obviously tried and failed over and over and over im just very excited to learn this game kojima always delivers

Kojima stated that he didn't want to show a trailer of explosions and death everywhere, he wanted to show what the game will look and probably feel like. I'm so hyped for this game though

Ohhhh, the baby is a clone of him that his consciousness transfers into it he dies. That’s why he was naked in the first trailer, and that’s why he has no belly button. He’s already died many times before, but he always comes back as long as he has a clone baby self prepared. That raises even more questions than we had before, but at least we have some vague answers now.

I am so in - lonely survival exploration where the toll of these deliveries affects the character in real time? Just imagining the increasing difficulty with carrying the heavier cargo is so interesting, especially if you have to hide from or avoid those things while doing so.

Did anyone else notice that the foot/hand prints didn't have any effect on the photograph? The earth beneath it was depressed, but the photo wasn't smushed into ground as you would expect. It was almost as if the hand/foot went straight through it without interacting with it. I'm assuming that was intentional, but I wonder what the significance was.

Playing Death Stranding was a special experience. I hope to replay it on PS5 or PC when I acquire it.

Anybody thinking this is the gameplay obviously don't know kojima. That man has earned my trust and I'm ready to throw my money to whatever he is trying to make us play.

"Fast forwards whatever it touches" - Explains why the creatures created life (sprouted plants) as it walked by, and why taking hold of a human aged him instantly. Doesn't explain why...but it seems they aren't simply sucking the life force out of humans like the previous trailer seemed to suggest.

Can I just go to the interstellar planet where every hour is like 7 years so I can wait there and play this game like in 15 min or so.

This game is FAAAAAR too deep for your average mindless kill everything gamer.

theory: the baby is him right, well the plants around him age significantly when the hands get near them. so maybe those hands age the baby which is him, basically cloning him but the old him dies. kinda like soma in a means of recreating his conscience. bit of a sloppy explanation but seems to go well with the theme of him being naked after the events.

My thoughts about this game is this: Norman (Sam) is a astronaut deliver who lands in a planet with different time, space, life and death context. If you look closely the trailers shows you a breaking universe colliding with another one, or at least alternative universe monsters. Death Stranding would be mean a restart by at least the beginning of the level, that if the game is not a sandbox. The baby thing is what allows you to return to real world, perhaps those dark things drag you to another dimension and you must find the way to come back "i keep coming". I call a survival horror game, water, stamina, health, crafting, would be important for the player. We don't know how the fight system is, maybe a third person shooter but only with one type of enemy.

Here is my guess: TIME FALL is a phenomenon that accelerates extinction. When it occurs, its force will collide with the present world, wherever it lands in parallel speed up time itself. This is reflected by the unnatural speed at which plants grow around the Hand Prints of Time, as well as the insane aging of wounded delivery agent. When TIME FALL senses fear, dread, pain and suffering, it will seeks out the origin and merge with the host of these emotions - creating a explosion that leaves a crater behind. (Notice TIME FALL doesn't have interest in the dead, this is because the dead has no future. There is no need to speed up anything once their target looses their future.) This is first hinted in the original trailer, the dead ocean animals were more than likely the victims of this explosion. Later on we got to see the explosion happening in full detail, the giant being is, for the lack of a better name, extinction itself. Sam and the FRAGILE agent both shed tears when they sense TIME FALL and its five representatives, this is likely due to their unique exposure to TIME FALL in the past. It is highly likely that both of them contains a copy of their past, the "baby" inside them, granting them power to sense and avoid this dangerous phenomenon.
