why terrifying? Just say no and regain your freedom. Do some research. The lockdown isn't necessary. They're simply trying to tighten the noose, and turn up the heat. We're frogs in water, my friend. Don't let them boil you. The freedom of the entire human race and the fate of the planet literally rests on our ability to think for ourselves. The world is under attack, and only you can save it. GO OUTSIDE. BUT DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. DO YOUR RESEARCH(REAL RESEARCH, not just believing whatever your handlers want you to). Peace.
It’s easier to have more things to say with a ~30-40 hours game that will sell with overhyped people than with a 2hours movie that has to amaze you within 5 minutes. Still Kojima stays one of the best trailer creator in video game industry (E3 2013, 2014 and 2015 are still some of the best I have ever seen in my life, too bad the game didn’t had any surprises left)
Armin Haracic me and my father both work for a parcel delivery company and I keep making jokes about this game with him. “Before you know it, me, you, and Norman Reedus are gonna have to deliver packages to quarantine bunkers”
Agreed. I also got the weird feeling like once we play the game everything will make sense like right now it looks so weird but i bet once you start playing it all comes together and makes perfect sense.
Cameron Brown actually Kojima said himself you prolly won’t start to understand until about half way though. But as you get farther along, all the pieces fall into place
After finishing the game I realized that they honestly revealed a whole lot of the plot from this game, but of course there was no way of us figuring it out.
Indeed, and yet noun of movie trailers gave same kind of feel. Only understand whole trailer when bigger picture revealed through. Such genius editing.
Ok what I got out of this is that the main character has to deliver a package while at the same time fixing the wifi around America with his trusty side kick baby
@@luckylongtower9416, there's no reason for them to be locked though. Also, don't you think he would know how to get out after going in and out of the place for months?
@@Anathema_009 what do you mean by “speaks more than describing”? What do you mean? Do you like the game? Because I love the game as it’s excellent and fantastic all around!
You're a magical fedex/comcast man who is delivering mail/wiring back up the internet in a time-warped apocalypse where he has to fight/avoid Time Demons and Time Terrorists. For this, he is assisted by sci fi anime tech and an Enchanted Time Fetus.
Not really. Story and tone wise it's all pretty consistent. And there's only few seconds of actual gameplay, which are all basically walking/running/climbing.
I think it's fantastic game I know it might be like a lot of walking and stuff like that but if you slow down and take in the views and just imagine yourself in that world men it just feels amazing great game
@@mc1s238 yeah i mean its funny how movie trailers can be like 3min long and it reveals too much but kojima releases one and still nothing..😅😅 Who else but kojima..🤷♂️
I just came here after watching the new trailer for the sequel. I'm no lying that I've got chills for this. For me it was a masterpiece this game and I'm so excited for the new one.
@@BlownMacTruck we do get that.. Unless for some reason people don't like paying attention to the plot that is there then fine, enjoy the mindless big budget Hollywood schlock.
@ he only did that in metal gear solid 5 so it would be a pain for Konami to remove it. Because they did remove it with just an update for the metal gear solid HD collection.
@MahNem Zaim It is, but it's more nuanced than that. It's about forging meaningful "real" friendships, not superficial ones (based on "likes"). It's also crazy how much this trailer spoils in hindsight.
@@theforcedpharmacist9470 Critics saying that it's just a delivery simulator is a big contributor to that. While most of the gameplay are indeed delivery missions, it is still engaging as you think about how you're supposed to get to your destination in the most efficient way possible. The critics are just talking about the gameplay *in a nutshell*. People couldn't see the engaging aspects of the game if they just say things like "it's a UPS simulator" and so it became seemingly underrated.
its actually something i would say unique to kojima few games bother with accurate tears its hard to do and is only used foe a few seconds but for kojima its clearly worth it.....and looking at mgs3 its clearto see why.
"Living is no different from being dead if you're all alone" At the moment we're disconnected but it will get better. So don't give up even if you're struggling with anything going on in your life, you're not alone.
What is so confusing? The clips are out of context yeah but the back story is explained in this trailer. That’s al you should need to know before playing.
@@Dan-zw5po right ???? Like dude a picture is worth a thousand words and yet we have a video and humans still dont the see the premise -_- All I know is this game is gonna be lit, its gonna be ground breaking its definitely gonna cause some stir but none the less, its gonna be one awesome adventure. I'll see everyone on the beach B-)
Giving a 20 or 30 minute of gameplay without spoiling is another thing and giving every important plot details without describing gameplay is completely another thing.
well I can tell u one thing. I feel this game will be story heavy. I'm getting more excited every day for this game and I was going to pass on this but after this trailer I feel like I wanna play it . guess we will know more tommorrow
Death stranding was way ahead of time. Kojime said this game is the future. Now humanity is caged in their homes due to Coronavirus. And this hiking simulator helps us remember how walking outside was like.
@@rennycepeda6576 What are you talking about? It's not "superficial" at all. It's an insanely deep and powerful game about love and family. Please don't spread hate. It doesn't deserve it as the game is amazing throughout.
It's still giving me goosebumps and I'm kinda scared to be honest. What if this actually happened, what if we experience something like this not too far away
@Oleksandr Mykhalchenko Opinions are like grains of sand. There's a countless number of them in the world and always get in the most irritating of places ;)
3 years before launch: "What is this game about?" 2 years before launch: "What is this game about?" 1 year before launch: "What is this game about?" 6 months before launch: "What is this game about?" 1 week before launch: "What is this game about?"
Honestly that’s a pretty bad sign. If people have no idea what it’s about it’s probably going to hurt it’s sales a ton. Like they probably should have given some story info
Say what you want about Hideo Kojima. The man is a mad genius who makes the most memorable, unique, never before done games in all of human history. The man is a visionary and artist who gives us experiences we could never even begin to imagine, yet can't begin to imagine not having experienced them, once we do.
@@JP-wm1cc Well to people who don't have ps4 they can do that since Death Stranding is a very narrative driven game anyway tho it has shooting mechanics that they don't show much for surprise maybe?
@@Ibo-b6i Fun fact: Noticeable portion of Vaati's lore explanations is just made up by him, it's his own interpretations of ambiguous things and descriptions. It is in no way definitive.
I swear I’m the only person I know, besides maybe 2 others irl, who has even played this game, let alone likes it. It may very well have already achieved cult status.
@Little Fox There's no one to restrain that power, no one is above the government (except in the event of a revolt where the govt authority can be challenged if enough people gather and organize themselves)
I don't care about any bad opinion, this game is a masterpiece. Graphics, gameplay, direction, story, cast, the soundtrack, the sound design and more than everything, the meaning. Loved it to death.
@@WilFitzz when you say that you prove that you dont play it yet, this game is different, and is great, plis no comment if you dont play it about the game, ok?
José Luis Gimenez Cuezzo bro I love this game but admit it, it’s boring. Walking and riding a motorcycle in a horrible terrain isn’t fun, boss fights were easy but the best thing was the story and zip lines.
@@WilFitzz I loved the gameplay, and it also gives a sense of time and the length of the journey Sam had to go on that you just cant get through a movie with the same effect
@@Leada1ne No it's a compliment, because I'm hyped to where I want to see where the story goes but it's not like Days Gone for example where they showed way too much and there weren't a whole lot of surprises
We're getting to the point where it looks like they're just filming the actors and green screening the landscape. To think that all of this is digital🤯
My friend : do you hear about kojima's newest game? Me : yes My friend : did you watch the trailer? Me : yes My friend : what's the game about? Me : yes
It's a shame I find that line kind of cringy because every other criticism of the nation that tried to be deep has used it before. At least everything else about the trailer is fantastic though.
BB is a reminder, to build a future for your future generations, even if the present is sad, desolate, lonely place. You carry this reminder with you, always.
The negative reaction people are having about this game amplifies the moral and meaning Kojima set forth. We may all be connected online, but we’ve become more disconnected from others and reality. People are forced to become lonely or adapt to this toxic world by breaking ties with everyone without forging anything meaningful. The close minded nature of society these days is the most prevalent with gamers. This game is a breath of fresh air that holds a mirror to society while teaching those who search for connections to experience them with others in the same world. It’s a masterpiece.
Amen to that brother. This game is an absolute masterpiece. I pity those who don't get it and appreciate its sheer brilliance and the message it wants to convey.
@@yaboiwarp Can confirm, I played more than 40 hours and was still on chapter 3 doing side quests and building roads, after chapter 5 it just got more addictive with the zips
@@Adrian-yi8fl you can't say it's a mess just from watching the trailers. The game is long, and they don't want to spoil anything. It will make sense next weekend
This game was a masterpiece. Everything about it. I was hooked from start to finish. After I finished it I didn't even know what to play next. I really wish it was a trilogy.
