It’s a cool hack, for sure. I’m using several of the things it does well in my own home brew. And that background generator is tops.

Two bits of errata. Healing is CON bonus +1 per day. I asked Prof DM about the fact that characters only heal on their own if they have spent points on a CON bonus, and he changed it by adding that +1. Also, shields are +2 Defense. Again, they forgot that on the armor class chart.

I also think that he spent to many points in the example of buying your bonuses for stats. It says you can spend 8 points but it looks like he spent 9. If I remember correctly. I don't have it in front of me right now. Not that it's a big deal but...ya know...

I use it as my base game system and I love. I also use PDM ideas on reskinning movies and using them for settings in my home brew world.

The idea that magic is outlawed but you are required to tattoo yourself in order to use it is genius.

It's a great little hack full of ideas to use with your favorite game. I run Castles and Crusades and use a version of the "Death Dice" ( which is actually taken from DM Scotty's Luck Dice rules).I wish I'd used more like the great random background chart. Good stuff.

I was impressed with this product. Not as much as Runehammer's Hardcore 5E. Deathbringer may be a little TOO light. One area that a collegue of mine pointed out was the Turn Undead ability. Very little explination of limitations, just states that the PC can turn undead and unlimited amount of times.
