Priest is definitely a slow burn writer. His Tarantino esque story telling can be very confusing at times although his run on black panther was similar but easy to follow. With that being said, I enjoy the arcs he has so far and this is a great introduction to Deathstroke. Thanks for the video, Rob.

Nadeem Shaikh you should read Deathstroke the terminator 6 - 9. I have those comics and think in #7 he nearly beats batman to death. They fight again in detective comics # 710 in which deathstroke beats him to death again and then later in the comics batman beats him by sneaking up on him. They fought in the new 52 and that fight was kind of even. It's not a bad thing to get beat by deathstroke. He is enhanced

that is an untrue factoid that ignores that the brain is made up of multiple parts working in tandem. a given activity (such as talking) might only use youre language centers and basic logic/memory stuff but thats not the same as only using 10%. the brain is specialized into parts, we need all parts to function but not 100% for each thing we do, so to speak. so someone who only uses 90% would, for example, have no memory, or be unable to speak and understand language.
probably, but the supersoldier thing handwaves it away. or you can subscribe to the big boss school of 1 eyed badasses that dont get slowed down by their loss of an eye because muscle memory and sheer talent and experience make up for the handicap. theoretically big boss still holds his sights to his dominant eye/side for a time (even though thats the eye he lost) but is so acustomed to using weapons that just the information from his other eye coupled with familiarity with a given weapon means he can still shoot straight, even without seeing properly.

Deathstroke is my top Rebirth pull. Priest is an amazing writer. I don't necessarily agree his writing his complicated, it just requires thought. I love that no lose end is ever a lose end, it makes you pay attention to everything that happens throughout the comic. Can't wait for the Defiance arc!

Planet Kuruto Slade beats Batman 9/10 bro. He's superior to Bats in every way that counts. DS is superhuman, he outclasses bats in every aspect, including prep, since he's mentally enhanced as well
jay gilles he's not a metahuman he is an enhanced human who is possibly a metahuman also his enhanced mind makes him process stuff faster being smart is related to the style you process things not necessarily the speed sure speed is part of being smart but it's not all of it so basically batman is smarter than deathstroke and his more skilled than him since remember at the end of the day he's just the best soldier that we know of also batman has stronger suits that can completely annihilate deathstroke but deathstroke is faster and stronger now batman vs deathstroke basic suits is debatable however what batman would do in most cases is he would ask the batplane to deliver a suit while stalling with deathstroke using his extreme stealth skills then when he's forced to fight deathstroke head on where it will be a close match giving the batplane enough time to arrive with the suit that he thinks is most suitable for this fight then proceed to beat deathstroke also I'm not saying deathstroke doesn't have a chance I'm just saying batman has more than a 50% chance of winning and you're free to disagree

My biggest issue with superman in most iterations of his character is that if he can't punch right away to victory he tends to lack any type of situational awareness. This is best looked at in the Batman vs Superman movie where superman tries to run in and punch only and gets taken down almost each time. Whereas Wonder Woman used strategy and combat skills to fight doomsday. Same thing in this story i feel that Superman tries multiple times to just hit Deathstroke harder hoping that he can just overpower the suite without figuring it out sooner that its just reflecting all my power back at me. Although DeathStroke is really smart, fast, strong he is still nowhere near as powerful or as fast as superman. Take some steel that's been tossed around and keep applying more and more to him, and no matter what Deathstroke does even with his enhanced abilities could counter that fast enough.

there is no suit that should be able to take a kryptonian punch the amount of pressure would send deathstroke flying even if it didnt hurt and considering superman held back like he always does theres no way those punches coulda hurt him

Batman would win eventually in a fight with deathstroke. It would be a close fight. Deathstroke got enhanced strength and is one heck of a fighter. But he doesn't have the one thing that Batman has. Batman's attention to the details and his foresight. Deathstroke will give Batman a close fight. But in the end, Batman will beat him with what he normally does, by out thinking them.
No he wouldn't. Deathstroke is smarter, faster, stronger, more durable, deadlier, has no morals against killing, and has firearms. Deathstroke easily beat Batman in their first encounter.
Batman vs Deathstroke. Deathstroke at first, to build tension, then Batman gets the upperhand, either by himself, or through help from his team. Because storytelling. Batman's the good guy. Would be interesting to see someone like Damien get the actual knockout blow, though.

Its kind of dumb to rope superman into this story, he just looks bad for not wanting to bring in Deathstroke but he does it anyway so he didnt really prove his point he just caved in to someone else ideals which he complained about. And what kind of super hero makes a shit excuse to not bring in a villian especially one as brutal as Slade? Like aside from bullshit about how its inconvenient for a decent story. Especially when the batman interactions seem far more appropriate, plus batman dosent look like a crap hero, besides not being able to beat deathstroke.

Why is there a completely different story between Batman and Arrow? I mean they are in the same "universe" and yet in arrow Slade is more connected with Oliver and actually have a sort of bond.
heatstroke he has super human ability's and batman dose not. there level of preparation if they are both knowingly going into a fight with one another is similar. while batman dose have more money deathstroke will use guns and dose not hesitate to kill I would say that gives him a much grater advantage
I dont know why everyones so scared of batman losing, slade regularly practices combat on actual combat enemies, lives every single minute dedicated to enhancing himself, has elevated super soldier brains and strength. It makes no sense for batman, who has probally equal preparation/btrains, if anything, slightly less. Moral restrictions, no physical superiority and lives two lifes so he cant have nearly as much dedication

I do not think this character has ever been handled right. anyway, the tockman scene reminded me of when comedian visited moloch. wintergreen was in the second new52 deathstroke series.
