On Day 2 of the 2020 Deathwish Mud Buggy Adventure we took all of the off road cars that were still running and put them head to head in a series of competitions to find the winner. They fixed the Mr. Big Cadillac and it turns out it was just some loose rocker arms and timing adjustment making the engine run bad. They finally were able to get the charger 4x4 car build running so it will be a part of the challenges as well. Which one of these off road cars under 5k will take the overall win? I think this was a great success as far as video racing and entertainment is concerned. I think the next video should involve the same premise of “Off-road Cars” but add a little RoadKill style adventure to it. Call it, “The Vague 4x4 Road Trip”. Invite the RoadKill guys anyone else to buy/find/salvage a car that can be put on a 4x4 chassis “Safely & made Road Legal Enough” to drive to a location, race around and drive home. That would make for an EPIC video.

I just started watching the video, and the first thing I noticed was the custom party trailer chillin in the background. That looks like the same custom trailer that was built by Extensive in Texas. Off-road tires, air ride suspension, grill and smoker at the rear and speakers all around.

As someone that grew up in Cheshire County (NH), I absolutely busted a gut laughing at the Hinsdale comment. Reminds me so much of the kind of fun competitive banter I used to hear in high school, though I think that Winchester actually got the most insults if my memory is accurate. That was 30+ years ago (man, I feel old!).

After watching the whole video, this looked like it was Hella Fun, and I really liked the guy with the Fifties? model year car that looked like it was placed on a Dodge Dually chassis. A true workman’s rig that wasn’t meant to go fast, but be the lead of the support team in the field.

I've thought about 3.0 subi with supercharger using samurai transfer case and yota axles. I just don't have the place to make it happen and won't by the time I lose interest in all the work.

Hey now, let's not leave out such gems as the Buick Roadmaster wagon with a full ladder chassis & LT1 Corvette V8(just make sure you do something about that Optispark garbage...) - would be a cinch to convert to 4x4 since you're already starting with a GM auto, just slap one in with a 4wd tail housing and appropriate transfer case, and a real ladder frame that could be built off of rather than replacing with a truck/jeep chassis. She's gonna be a big heavy girl, so '05+ Superduty axles would totally be the ticket front & rear, especially transferring the stock radius arm suspension like some of these rigs had, works great even in spite of how low the arm brackets hang. Amazing brakes too, would totally look into swapping an SD master & pedal ratio. '99-'04 SD front axle if you were going to go leafs up front(as long as it's not the Dana 50...). Cheap lockers, drive flanges, call it a day. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if SD driveshafts could be modified to work - I'm sure a Roadmaster must be pretty close to the size/proportions of a Superduty... Make some trail-oriented tube bumpers to protect the corners, maybe a light exo-cage(closer to roofline tree sliders maybe) to try to save allllll of that glass from getting annihilated, and let it eat! Maybe throw in a 100 shot of giggle juice too, cause why not? Also, gotta figure out how to make the rear tailgate easily removable like a Jeep door, so you could yank it off at camp and the rear passengers get some open air
