Damn you make deathwish look really good. That’s what I picked on AAU I’m lvl 54 and I feel like it’s just not that great but maybe it’s just me. Been really indecisive between it and spellsinger. Keep making videos, you’re a god.
ty. If ur not feeling deathwish u can always level a different third skill tree to replace swiftblade and try another melee class. But yea if u already invested a lot into ur deathwish account trying to re roll into a spellsinger u would have to start all over pretty much :/
Slumt that’s what I thought I would have to do :( I’ll stick with deathwish for now. You make it look incredibly good so maybe I’m just not fully understanding it yet. Keep up the content! Is there anything you change when doing PvE? I’m super mana hungry and it seems really hard compared to a mage
@@zin2989 yea its going to take some practice its more tricky to play than traditional battlerage classes, but if u cant make it work or decide its not for u i would recommend trying out darkrunner/shadowblade those classes are a little more simplistic, still fun, and really good.
@@zin2989 they work just as fine with dual wield. i would play them dual wield if i was going to play them. I've played both DW and 2H on AA and i prefer DW, the only reason people are saying 2h on those classes is bc 2h got a buff and u get early game power spike by only having to gem one weapon. Dual wield is still viable tho.
So do you typically use Reverberate with Twin Shadow Slash or Relentless Assault or something else altogether? Also my main issue right now is I’ve been running Flashblade because I feel like PvE is pure aids without Auramancy (mana food is expensive). Do you stay Deathwish for PvE?
probably better the reverberate relentless over twin, its situational i guess tho. yea farming without auramancy is way to inefficient. I haven't farmed much, but when i do i stay deathwish thats just me being lazy though i will probably farm as darkrunner in the future
Would double katana work just as well as katana/axe? I don't really like axe models so debating on weapon choices. Is it pretty mandatory to run two different types?
if ur playing swiftblade. axe offhand is best but its not really a big deal i wish i went katana sword myself just bc it looks cooler. you would be fine going double katana. if ur playing a melee class without swiftblade ur offhand doesnt matter
dagger/dagger is bad. If u really want to use dagger at least go dagger/axe or dagger/sword or katana (if u cant stand the way axe looks) bc deathwish scale off the base damage of ur offhand and dagger has weakest base damage in game. You would keep skills the same.
I like getting the last swiftblade passive, and i like sunder more than p strike. Theres a couple different builds that work with deathwish tho so running p strike is still good and there are some melees that prefer to run it. Sup dude, thoughts on blade flurry vs triple slash? in open world i haven't been feeling like i have enough time to do 3rd hit flurry before getting cc'd by random shit, and most of my instinct stacks are coming from blink and blade blast. Is this a get good issue? Or rather, why are you using flurry? Preference or objectively better?
So if u take off blade flurry and grab triple slash you lose your last passive in swiftblade tree which gives u 16% crit dmg. Triple slash overall is probably the more reliable skill if u look at the two side by side, but with the play style of melee you don't really get to sit there and use filler damage unless u have a healer since u will most likely get cc'd and killed if you are not staying mobile. You normally burst and get out that why i prefer taking blade flurry mostly for the extra 16% crit from the passive so my burst hits harder. The stack of instinct can be nice, but like u said it's more reliable to get stack of instinct from blink and blast. In RvR triple slash is probably better to take though. Overall its personal preference.
Hello! I love the mobility of your character, trying to follow your build with my first character, just reached L50 so far 77 enemy faction kills. Got STR on all gear 2nd stat trying to get resilience 3rd stat reduction or hp, katana and axe i alredy have STR/meelee crit rate/meelee crit dmg - had to stop out of labor and gold xD Anyway, I have a question: what to do about ancestral skills? Swiftblade doesn't have any, what to pick from the other two? Any suggested rotations? 1v1 or 1vX ? What lunagems should i go for? Thanks !
get life tiger strike, ancestral shadow smite that teleports u behind them. If u go to ur skill tree there is a tab that says skill combos that will show u every combo possibility in the game with all the skills u have (shaken debuff counts as a slow and snares set you up for a hammer toss). Doing combos is the easy part, utilizing mobility, avoiding enemy cc, and reading when they are going to defiance is the hard part. With swift its more about getting creative with where ur going to fit in stacks of instinct into ur combos for max damage/resets and utlizing mobility. For 1v1s just practice and learn ur match ups and adjust ur builds accordingly for example speccing into things like poision weapons or leech when fighting mages can help etc.. um lunagems just go crit dmage on ur weapon everything else on armor is standard for all classes. Biggest tip for 1vX is utilizing mounts and gliders.
@@slumt. thank you! almost 55 now. wasted a lot of time getting some land and scarecrow farm/s :D i will go crit dmg on weapons, and whatever is other ppl do for amor then (coz idk). I'm learning to utilize my mount, glider combined with the blink and swiftblade to be more mobile.
if u just wanna be fast af u can make it work 100%. i personally like sword or katana main hand though it feels like a better balance and at end game idk if there is a soft cap or anything for attack speed. Dagger is a lot of fun tho and if u do run it make sure you're utilizing all of the attack speed by weaving in as many attacks as u can in between cc's. The fast attack speed has good synergy with swiftblade aswell since u have to hit 3 times with blade fury to stack instinct. A downside would be ur hard hitting skills like sunder, p strike, and shadowsmite wont chunk as hard.
Slumt need some advice, ended up rolling mage. but meele big dik 1 shot me xD. Does mage get more mobile and able to hold its own? or should i just scratch it and go melee? whats melee like in big raid fights?
mages have the kit to deal with melees in 1v1 but, depends on what kind of mage class ur playing on how you're going to outplay them. And melee is hardest class in the game to be efficient in large scale raid pvp imo. A group of good coordinated melee can put in work though! I wouldn't base what class u play depending on how it is, play what u find most fun and try to master it. Mage and melee are both very good.
Initiate with mount stun then charge - aoe swift blade skill to slow then aoe battle rage - now you can use courage or choose to continue combo with hammer toss to keep up the madness
Probably same as other classes, main stat resist/toughness, magic/melee reduction for armor then main stat crit crit for weapons. Could probably make an argument for armor pen on the weapons instead of one of the crits but that's up to you.
Niiice :D Need some more Deathwish pvp, rolling over from Darkrunner atm. Just wanted to get ur take on what stats we should focus on ? Atm i am rolling main stats + Resi and Crit dmg/melee dmg. Got way more Ressi rolls than crit atm, should I try and roll more Crit one my gear pieces?
Armor: str, resilience, received Dmg% (i go with melee% reduce). Str, toughness, backstab melee dmg on belt and guards. Weapons: Str, crit rate, crit dmg, if ur going crit dmg build. If ur going def pen get Str, Def pen, Crit rate on weps. (im going crit build)
@@Erudon yea def pen is good im going crit rate just bc i didnt get to test it, but there was a document where someone tested the def pen vs crit rate pre swiftblade and full def pen with def pen earings neck and everything had similar dmg to crit. The difference was def pen hit harder more consistantly and crit dmg had bigger crits but the avg of the two was similar. With the 3k added onto that number from swiftblade passive def pen probably is better tbh. I will re seal the gems at end game later if that is the case, but im just going crit to be safe also u farm hiram faster with crit.
