2023 🎉 I SLAP this song in my car all the time . My 7 yr old daughter told Alexa the other day “Alexa, play I like It by DeBarge” .. I was so proud. Lol ❤
Right same here I always knew Randy and his other brother can sing but I was waiting on them to do a lead song and he laughed this song with a smooth voice I didn't even know that was Randy's voice Iagree! with you
I remember when Switch first came on the scene, us ladies was feeling them handsome men! Sad when they broke up. Then came Debarge; I became and still am a huge fan. However I'm just now seeing the Bobby Debarge story 😢 how awfully sad what this family went through. Especially Bobby 😢 but just because you were abused doesn't mean you abuse others. I don't understand how he could become something so awful that was done to him. Also his ego was super high and he was jealous of his siblings success. I truly hope he is resting peacefully 🙏
Remember HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE! Seems like he abused Chico Debarge or was it James Debarge? If therapy was big back then, they all could have gotten help😔 Their father was a monster
The crap these kids went through behind closed doors was pure horror! This is why I think people that watch and follow these RU-vid families are fools! They work extra hard to put on a facade for the cameras, but when the cameras are off the real family comes out and the not meant for RU-vid version comes out!
I been a fan of the DeBarge family since I learned to sing and gravitated to them. I bought a 3 DVD set from a guy on ebay in like 04. The first disc got broken when I tried to get it cleaned. Three videos on there that never resurfaced anywhere is the ROTN and Someone live performances on the Joan Rivers show and one with Sinbad, not the ones I uploaded. As soon as YT came out, I wanted to share with other fans so i found a way to upload. Sorry for the long answer.
@@MIXEDMADNESS I don’t mind a long answer❤️ I love the DeBarges too. Their sound has always been so familiar and soulful to me. My family is also full of musicians and a lot of pain and poverty. Music and laughter is so healing. My mom and aunties were a teen vocal group a little older than them, and made a jazz/pop album with the George Duke trio in the late 60’s.
@@cocomaire that's right!!! and 19, when he wrote ALL THIS LOVE for Marvin Gaye. but, Motown Boss Berry Gordy told El, he should record that. thank you Gordy. that's ONE of the few good moves you made for my boy El, at Motown.
I thought the same. How can they sing so perfectly but be off beat with simple swaying? El admitted they were NOT good at dancing. That's they're white side.😂
Robby had a great voice and a great writer for the group. And sexy and very handsome. Why he was not in front of the group with his brother El. Show business I guess.
Bobby was singing lead for his group Switch who came out before DeBarge. That's why he wasn't in this group. He was already in a famous group. Plus he got on drugs and was messing up at this time
The ladies don't give no credit to El Debarge' Brother his brother song real good to lead it off you barely even hear his brother sing he deserve credit just as well as El Debarge to, don't give all the credit to El Debarge give it to his brother also
