MSD is an undisputed GOAT in all the formats not only T20 and One day. He had made India number 1 in the ICC test rankings also. He has played 90 tests. Highest score in test is 224 against Australia. Test average is 39. Which is really very good batting average in test when you are playing at 7. These journalists know very little.I would like to add one more thing here. If you give me an opportunity to select Indian team and if you give me option to select Dhoni or Tendulkar then I will always select Dhoni. Reason behind is that if Dhoni even get out on zero he can still build great team with his leadership skills which is very important for team games like cricket. Cricket is a team sport and Dhoni is a true and great team leader. Most of time people try to find shortcomings in him because he comes from Bihar/Jharkhand. Then, Dhoni in 2011 played a glorious 91* against Sri Lanka in World Cup Final after India were down to 31/2. I hope India wins the 2023 world cup in India under captaincy of Rohit Sharma

I think test cricket during his time, was directionless, there was no world test championship, can be actually a reason which did not motivate him. Otherwise, if there was something to proof in test, he would have won that trophy also.

I feel that MS is not given due credit as a Test cricketer. Let's not forget he is a wicketkeeper and has played some of the most crucial innings at number 7 so obviously he is not going to be a prolific test batter like the top order. The England test series win of 2007 came on the back of a match saving innings from Dhoni when India was 9 down , then his double hundred against aus in a test match , his first test 100 at Faisalabad against a quality Pak attack when India was in trouble , these are only few of his many test knocks. Only bringing this up because the panel literally dismissed MS as a test cricketer.

I agree with it that dhoni is a great captain in odi and t20.. But in test i think he was not as much interested... That's why test cricket was so much boring then....
