Day 3:. Got some ideas/games for future SDS episodes. I haven't fully thought them out and am not sure if they would be good videos, but they could give you some inspiration. Love the pod boys! 1) Random Football Category Draft Challenge: This is similar to the iconic and world cup draft challenges, but each round would be a random football category with a different pool of 11 players. You will have a total of 11 random rounds. For example: - 11 players to never win the Ballon D'or (excluding goalies): Maldini, Raul, Henry, Xavi, Baresi, etc. - Barca 08/09 starting XI - English Midfielders 2) Start, Sub, Sell | Everyting but players edition: Similar format to classic version, but here you would do celebrations, greatest moments, freekicks, iconic hairstyles, etc. 2.5) Start, Sub, Sell | Speical situation edition: Same format, but you will start, sub, sell based on a specific situation. In example: Game is tied 0-0 you have a freekick right outside the box. Who will you start, sub , or sell? - Messi, Beckham, Ronalidno Some questions I thought of that are both related and not related to football: Who would you want as captain in a final? Goalkeeper you would want in a 1v1? What player you would want to go clubbing with? What player you would want to have in a bar fight? 3) SDS Family Feud: Similar to the famous American show family feud, this would be a game where you four compete to guess the most popular answers from SDS fans about football related questions. You would survey your fans either on Twitter or any other platform questions such as "Who is the greatest player of all time?" or "What is the most iconic football celebration?" Then the four of you guys try to guess the 5 most popular answers that you think your fans would say. Each of you can keep guessing until you get three strikes. If you guess the #1 answer you get 5 points, #2 4 points and so on... You could do non surveyed questions such as "Most goals in a calendar year?" or "What player has the most premier league appearances". The channel Hivemind has a great example of this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0Z8sIEQENhg.html 4) Building teams on a budget: You will be given a list of players with each player getting their own $ amount (i.e.: Messi worth $5, Vincius worth $4, Rashford worth $3, etc). You have a budget of $15-$20 to build your best starting 5-a-side team or starting XI. Here is an example of what it would look like. ru-vid.comjjjaIyrdz6Y ***Some of these might be difficult to do or aren't good, but just wanted to give some fresh ideas that you could maybe draw inspiration from!
Would be interesting to do this based on viewer input. Post a form or google sheet people can fill out with their top 10 and then talk about who is under or overrated by the viewers.
Can't believe Konate wasn't mentioned when they spoke about CB's. You could see the quality difference in france when he started and when he didn't. And he handled vini really well in the champions league final even in a losing side.
Most people just watch highlight videos to decide how they feel about players from other teams and highlight videos of defenders aren't anywhere near as flashy as attackers so that would be the main reason.
You guys should consider making this video again but splitting into 3 separate videos for defenders, midfielders, and forwards because a lot of players didn’t get the credit they deserve. These type of videos never favor deeper midfielders and defenders
It is really funny how Fayzal completely wrote off Haaland. People really think he cant grow into a Benzema role by the time he is 30 just cause right now he is more of a run in behind player. If there was a coach in world football that can mold Haaland into that player, it is Pep. The most accurate prediction of Haaland is that he can become a ''If Benzema had pace'' player in the next 5-10 years. Fans these days especially bots like Fayzal (no hate) just have no regard for patience, they just want instant gratification all the time and even what Haaland has done right now at this age is not enough for people to be satisfied. And also mind you Haaland has been the only consistent performer in this city side this season. Remove his goals and city drop near 10-15 points especially since Jesus and Sterling left, he won them the Palace game, Arsenal game, Leeds game, West Ham game, Wolves Game ETC!!!! . PEOPLE FORGET HE DROPPED A HATTRICK WITH 2 ASSISTS AGAINS UNITED JUST A FEW MONTHS AGO! Crazy! Hopefully it was jokes cause the amount of people who agree with this take just surprise me so much.
The difference is that haaland wasn't as technically good as benzema was, so you can't just simply change someone's playing style of it doesnt suit their abilities. Like Nunez isn't gonna be a false 9 any time soon because that isn't his skillset
Give me an example of a player who was just a goal scorer but then aged and became a playmaking striker, do you even know how good benzema was when he was younger, you’re insane
@@maninform3523 Kane? Benzema was also the same, changed from a run in behind to a facilitator for ronaldo. Kane had a trampoline touch before he fixed that. Haaland already is showing his playmaking capabilities, technically he is very underrated. Guy has more assists than kane this season.
@@smitvaidya6614 you’re clearly deluded and know nothing about football, benzema has never been a poacher or someone that scored a lot of goals so he didn’t “change for ronaldo” lol, higuian was scoring more than benzema but like mou said when benzema played the whole team played better, he was like that as Lyon too, was known for this incredible playmaking ability and not his goal scoring because he scored like 50+ goals in 141 appearances. Kane never changed also lol, he just never got a chance to play deep before mou came in but you could clearly see he had the ability even under poch. So assists = underrated playmaker, these type of dumb twitter arguments annoy me, he’s closer to the goal so of. He can have assists doesn’t mean he’s someone that drops and playmakers, wth are you talking about, now again tell me a natural poacher that morphed into a link up player because kane is a horrendous argument because he could clearly see he had that ability when dele was in and he’d drop and dele would go for finishes sometimes just didn’t do as often with poch as with mou
Not having a literal golden boy in the top 10 is a crime. Gavi has proven to be amongst the three to five most important players for Barcelona this season and is a constant threat in big games regardless of wins or losses. Even for Spain Gavi is consistently Chosen ahead of experienced players and the passion merchant shout is absolutely ridiculous. His overall game at 18 is simply astonishing, and in the coming years he will be amongst the most dangerous attacking threats from the midfield for the coming generation. The disrespect from Fayz is unreal
Haaland is proving these guys wrong already by scoring EIGHT goals in TWO games. The sheer production and numbers alone makes him a level above them all. As good as Vini, Pedri, Kvicha are, they cannot talk to Haaland in terms of production. Goals win games, simple as that. He's also done it everywhere (Molde, Salzberg, Dortmund). His champion's league record is ridiculous. He's an archetypal ST and he gets hated on for scoring goals, his positional awareness is out of this world, and people hate him for not being a complete footballer when he has more assists than Kane. He's THE best number 9 in the WORLD.
The fact that Araujo isn’t higher in here blows my mind. Barca have the best league defensive stats with the most clean sheets in la liga history given how many games were played. They conceded 7 goals total and 5 of them came when Araujo was injured. He’s been carrying Barca’s defense for 3 seasons now and as a Barca fan I am more scared to see Araujo out of the lineup than Pedri. Araujo is one of if not the best CBs at the moment if he played in the prem people would be shitting their pants about how good he is.
@@tshepisokhunyedi168and Gavi as well, don’t get me wrong Pedri is key to Barcelona but our problem for so long has been our defense. without Araujo who else in Barca can make those recovering runs to forwards who get in behind Barca’s high line. Watch the villareal game where we won 1-0 and you can see that without araujo that game could’ve easily ended 3-1 or 4-1. Pedri is Barca’s most important player no doubt but I think that when Araujo is out of the team we lose so many more games than when Pedri is out of the team. Like in our 2 games vs inter or our losses to Bayern and Madrid.
For me top 10 U-23 currently non-bias: 1- Sancho 2- Antony 3- Garnacho 4- Amad Diallo 5- Pellistri 6- Dalot 7- Elanga 8- Greenwood 9- Mainoo 10- Iqbal (I am a Arsenal fan)
abs needs to be here more he’s a great character with knowledge and humor love it. enzo and joao felix are unreal talents two of my fav players they have to be there. i understand though in la liga he wasn’t watched like that (felix) he’s super underrated and super small sample size (enzo) but i’m glad they are in the prem now and on our team their talent will be on display a lot more and loads of potential.
I rate them both very highly but they just miss out for me. To much talent. Pedri vini haaland kvaradona Musiala Jude Saka Leao Tchoumeni Camavinga Gavi etc. I didn’t even name CBs like Gvardiol Davies. Crazy talent
@@hazz2620 gavi doesn’t deserve to be in the list over either felix or enzo . felix i’d push for more because there’s definitely a world class player in him he just got unlucky with the move to terrorist atletico
@@taimurirfan5169 madrids young stars are literally ruling world football right now in the biggest stage while pedri and gavi get knocked out in the first rounds. There are levels to this
I agree with most picks but I would've tweaked a few places: 1. Haaland 2. Vini Jr 3. Musiala 4. Pedri 5. Bellingham 6. Saka 7. Kivicha 8. Tchouameni 9. Rodrygo 10. Leao
Haaland has 23 games played 26 goals, 4 assists, 9 big chances created in the prem. Vini has 21 games played, 7 goals, 4 assists, 8 big chances created in laliga. There’s scoring more goals and lacking in other departments but then there’s scoring 4x as many goals as the other guy.
Starting to sense abit of a pattern here, I think alot of guys don't rate Vini and will never rate him, hence the surprised faces, if you actually watch football and you're looking for Potential/talent/stats/consistency.. How can you possibly put Haaland over Vini? Vinicius is the only one closes to Mbappe, but I understand, alot of guys that watch the prem don't watch la liga and it shows lol
Thatd be a fair point if Haaland wansnt scoring more goals than games played at his age. Plus you’re acting like haaland can’t adapt to be more involved in games. That’s literally why he joined City. So he can improve his game other than goals
When it comes to potential and talent he is 3rd and when it comes to stats and consistency he is 2nd so I would say him being 1st/2nd is understandable
I have every Madrid game. Vini is one of my favorite players in the world but what halland has done at his age is insanity. This he only scores goals shit has to stop. This guy is generational. Man city is not the best team for halland because they like to protect to the ball so much and do extra passes and he still has got four hatricks and 31 goals in Feb. Only mbaape can do that.
Vini is ahead of Haaland. No debate. Vini is having a bigger impact in his team and has been instrumental in Madrid's recent trophies. What has Haaland done? Yes he scored like a madman the first half of the season, but he's been awfully quiet since the WC...this is not a debate.
I know it might be crazy because he’s breaking record in the PL but I would have both Vini and Pedri above Haaland. Their impact on their respective teams is massive. They influence games and have a bigger impact. If you take all 3 out of their teams, Haaland’s absence would be felt the least.
Both influences on the game and both have the technical ability that haaland doesn’t have. Mbappe Vini Pedri and musaila are the best of the young generation
Why tho? He has been decent for city but isn’t a starter and last season he was playing in Argentina which no offence is a big step down from European football.
@@guneytopal1713 Because hes better than many players mentioned in this list. Regardless of where he used to play. He's shown his quality in the world cup, and in the prem, even if you want to disregard everything he did in south america.
@@Espinin players who play in South America are always disregarded until they come to Europe. Only a few exceptions back in the 50s, 60s and 70s when south American leagues were slightly behind Europe rather than massively behind
@@guneytopal1713 People can be disregard it all they want, that doesnt mean it doesnt count. The kid was awarded for being the best player in south america, his career didnt start when he signed for city. He tore it up at domestic and continental level in Argentina, and then went to arguably the best team in the world and seems to fit right in anytime he plays since he got there, only being on the bench because haaland exists, and also stepped into the Argentina national team and was a pivotal part of their world cup winning run. Plus also there is the eye test, especially if youve watched him throughout his career. IMO he easily makes top 10, idk how much more he couldve done over the last 2 years to earn it.
Could you please do a Top 10 Goal keeper, it would be interesting to see them debating on goal stoppers. I'm from NZ and a nurse during night shift its wonderful listening to the podcast.
@@AK-bj6fk ok and?? That just proves he is a statpadder. Without goals or assists, he wouldnt even be recognized as a great player. Thats why he got locked up by an injured Kyle Walker and Reece James
@@matiassamayoa711 I watch every barca, madrid, and sociedad game I can and sprinkle in the other teams of laliga. I've seen the vast majority of his appearances.
I would put haaland first because vini's first season at Madrid faysel would have wanted him gone but haaland's first season at city he is not only getting goals for himself he is also doing his best to make de bruyne get assists
@@krakenator461 are u a Madrid fan or what cause vini's first season in Madrid he was number 28 and he was hated by Madrid fans and he was not even the second best player
@@rethabilenkatekosithole5983 he was the only bright spark after that super depressing period of losses. His finishing was still ass but overall gameplay was good enough
Even tho Wirtz has been injured, he’s been class since he’s came back, 2 games v Monaco he scored twice and got an assist AND, he’s 19, he’ll be something special in 3/4 years
Day 12: For a more entertaining goat bracket and a bracket that does not really feature world class players, I think you should do a streets won’t forget bracket. How bout do 32 bracket cause there is a bunch of players you can pick from: Brackets indicate their prime clubs, prime season 1 Taarabt (QPR, 10/11 or 12/13) 2 Ben Arfa (Newcastle and Nice, 11/12 or 15/16) 3 Payet (West Ham and Marseille, 15/16) 4 Gourcuff (Bordeaux, 08/09) 5 Michu (Swansea, 12/13) 6 Jay Jay Okocha (PSG and Bolton, 2000-2006) 7 Ba and Cisse (They have to be a duo, 11/12) 8 Santa Cruz (Blackburn, 07/08) 9 Antonio Cassano (Roma Sampdoria AC Milan, 2001-2010) 10 Rafael Van Der Vaart (Ajax spurs Hamburg, 2000s-2012) 11 Ramires (Chelsea, 2012-2015) 12 Nani (Manchester United, 10/11) 13 Juninho (Middlesbrough, 1997-2002) 14 Juninho (Lyon, 2004-2008) 15 Arshavin (Zenit and Arsenal, 2008-2011) 16 Adriano (Inter Milan, 2003-2006) 17 Robinho (City and Real Madrid and AC Milan, 2000s-2011) 18 Dele Alli (Tottenham 2015-2019) 19 Quaresma (Porto and Besiktas, 2004-2008 or 2014-2019) 20 Balotelli (Manchester City and AC Milan, 2010-2018) 21 Pablo Aimar (Valencia and Benfica and he was Messi’s idol, 2001-2006 or 2008-2012) 22 Berbatov (Manchester United and Tottenham 2004-2012) 23 Nasri (Arsenal and City, 2007-2016) 24 Mancini (Brazilian guy from Roma, 2003-2008) 25 Guti (Real Madrid, 2000s) 26 Moussa Dembele (Tottenham, whole Tottenham career) 27 Recoba (Inter Milan, 1999-2004) 28 Riquelme (Boca Juniors and Villarreal, 1998-2006) 29 Pato (AC Milan, 2007-2012) (edited) 30 Hulk (Porto and Zenit, 2010-2016) 31 Alex (Fenerbahce, 2004-2012) 32 Sturridge (Liverpool, 2013/14)
No Davies and Reece James is criminal ngl, due to their cabinet and performances at the highest stage… yeah they have been injured but when they play they are easily top 3 in their position itw
Liban is so right man. I agree that Mbappe is better than Haaland but not having Haaland 1st in this list is criminal. How did Abz put Saka above Haaland when he is about to break the record for most goals scored in a season in his debut season? Pedri and Vini are close to Haaland but Haaland is still clear
I can’t believe Reece James’ name wasn’t even mentioned in the whole video, I know he’s been injured recently but he was renowned as the best RB in the world just a few months sgo
VID IDEA: Do a top ten classic footballers in their prime (perhaps a player and price for every position to make up a team, or even a top English playing team) by what you think the player would be worth (in millions) in todays market/2023... Players like Pele, Maradona, R9, Zidane... etc... etc. Or english players like Shearer, Rooney, Barnes, Beckham, Ferdinand, Moore, Charlton... etc ... could even give a 2023 price for a young Messi or Ronaldo!
Ig they said they aren’t including many defenders n also the fact he missed almost the entire season , im nowhere saying he doesn’t deserve to b in top 10
1. Haaland 2. Pedri 3. Vini 4.. Bellingham 5. Saka 6. Foden 7. Tchoumeni 8. Gavi 9. Gvardiol 10. Camavinga HM: Musiala If I forgot someone don't cook me. I did this no prep, before watching the video.
And what has he done? Did he win the ucl being the 2nd best player in the ucl? Cuz that's what vini did. Vini is literally better than haaland in every aspect of football except finishing. Better passer dribbler chance creation etc and in the last 2 years had more g/a than haaland as well. Won more in his career individually and collectively so in which way is haaland better or greater than vini?
@Jeevan Thomas Vini: 22/23 - 27 G+A in 3159 mins giving a goal or assist every 117 mins. 21/22 - 42 G+A in 4274 mins giving a goal or assist every 102 mins 20/21 - 13 G+A in 2722 mins giving a goal or assist every 209 mins 19/20 - 9 G+A in 1817 mins giving a goal or assist every 202 mins. Haaland: 22/23 - 37 G+A in 2565 mins giving a goal or assist every 69 minutes 21/22 - 37 G+A in 2388 mins giving a goal or assist every 65 mins 20/21 - 53 G+A in 3540 mins giving a goal or assist every 67 mins 19/20 - 54 G+A in 2751 mins giving a goal or assist every 51 mins. You've tried to manipulate the stats to make Vini seem better but statistically Haaland blows him and everyone else out the water. As for your other points: Vini plays for Real Madrid. Before this season Haaland played for Salzburg and Dortmund. Obviously Vini will go further in the Champions League. He was a big part of it but Haaland hasn't even had the opportunity to play for a Champions League contender yet. We'll see how he does for City. More on that point, Haaland's already done it for 3 different clubs in 3 different leagues. We've always said the hardest thing in football is adapting to new leagues. Laliga is more technical, the Premier League is more intense with less space in behind etc. Haaland proved he can score in all 3 he's played in and he proved he can adapt to different teams. He was involved in the buildup play and often made runs in behind at Dortmund whereas he's had elite movement+finishing and been more of a poacher at City (which is what they needed - someone to finish chances). The rest of your argument where you go over all their "qualities" and how Vini is better at all those things is subjective nonsense. You just won't admit that you are biased towards lean, agile wingers over big clunky strikers. It's the problem with the modern day fan. They can only appreciate certain types of players. Anyone who's played football knows that football intelligence, movement, finishing, consistency etc is all just as impressive as silky dribbling. But most casual fans just think the guy that "looks better" to them is the better player. Vini is a brilliant player but Haaland's numbers are just so far above normal. Every season he's averaging a goal or assist every 70 minutes. That's what Messi was doing - even Ronaldo wasn't that productive. Obviously not saying he's better than them but his goal output is crazy and he's done it for three teams at three different levels. He broke both the Champions League and Premier League records for quickest player to 20 goals with 14 games each. I'm sorry but there's no comparison.
Rin Alfie Fu… SDS video idea! Everyone picks the name of a top manager (i.e. fergie, pep, jose, conte, etc) out of a hat and has to draft the best starting 11 possible only with players that their chosen manager has managed before. You take turns drafting one player at a time and the person with the best team in the end wins. The only rules are: 1. once a player is picked, no one else can pick them for their team 2. you can only draft a player into the position that they played in while under that manager You can choose to draft players based on the form they were in while playing under that manager, based on their current form, or based on their overall skill and performance. S/o to ElevenOnEleven podcast for the idea!
William Saliba has been a top 3 CB in the Prem this season and I think he’s just flat out better than Gvardiol. Saliba has been playing his tail off this season and I believe Arteta knows he has the next VVD in his system. Also, an absolute disgrace he wasn’t playing in the World Cup and they had that sorry excuse of a CB named Kimpembe
Please tell me its the loud minority that aren't putting haaland first coz im even seeing ppl in the comments saying this not just for publicity and interactions. Its crazy how much a man can do and still be disrespected just coz he aint a pretty technical baller don't mean he should be disrespected like this. Haaland has entered the hardest league in the world adapted immediately and is already breaking every record 4 hattricks and 26 goals in 23 games he is also younger than vini. Ppl call him a tap in merchant but theres a reason he's always there, he has the best attacking positioning in the world and the best make it look easy Haaland is as much a resource to kdb as kdb is to haaland. KDB gives a perfect pass haaland is in the perfect position
Other honorable : Araujo Kulusevski Antony Garnacho Alexander Isak Sven Botman Saliba Dalot Mudryk Reece james Gravenberch Donnarumma Vlahovic Nketiah Martinelli ES rowe
A few years ago Madrid fans were thrashing Benzema and wanted him gone. To say Haaland will never be that good when he is one of the best players atm is crazy. Fayz has an unreal Madrid bias.
Please do a champs league draft. Pick the starting 22 from the last 11 champions league finals. If a player is picked for 1 year and started another year they can't be picked again. You can do the 4 years befoee for the bonus ones at the end. Would be a difficult challenge with real playing so many and that.
My Top 10: Vinicius Jr. Haaland Musiala Saka Pedri Bellingham Leao Foden Tchouameni Gvardiol I'd love to put Kvaradona but it's a bit soon as it's his first season in a top league
@@zakariamatar1337 I don't think it's wild at all, it's 10th place end of the day. Seen Gvardiol do well in the league, UCL and for Croatia, haven't seen as much of Araujo so It'd be disingenuous to choose him instead
