so July then. or maybe it'll pass and in 2026 Maui county will come begging to the State legislature saying they now have less money for their budget. and most of the houseless will not be able to afford the newly converted ltrs anyway.
Fire victims don't want anything outside of the west side.. why they banning STR's on the south side which are completely unaffordable and inappropriate for families? The "fire victims" are just the excuse to implement these sweeping changes which will imperil the county budget and put over 12k people out of work... A responsible mayor and council would find win-win solutions and not scapegoat a major economic driver relied upon by so many families.. They'll have to move away from Maui but that's the not-uttered truth... It has roots in racism.....They voted on this 2 years ago and it was shot down... They should try to encourage home building and maybe use that 760M over 10 years to make something they could lease to people at a "low-income" price... Missin' Bisson is doing anything to curry the favor of the people after his disastrous fire performance... I'd never vote for Green or Bisson again...
We will dam right beg for the state for money needed for our New, Black Ops, SWAT, Night Flying $9.8 Million Dollar a Year Helicopter, nick named the “Ghetto Bird” so that our Chief and his friends can fly around.
