That ending comment from Tom is spot on ... I hate it when debates come in about the best players from the prem and when people say 'how many titles have they won?' It doesn't matter! Are people going to take Haalands accomplishments away from him if City finish second? Plus there have been plenty of world class players who never won a league like Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard, Shearer, Fernando Torres, Kane, Matt Le Tissier, Suarez, Zola, Ginola, Gullet ... Same with legends who never won a world cup or a European cup ... Shouldn't matter if the team they played in didn't win anything its more impressive that people recognize them for their individual talent shows they were above and beyond the team they were playing for ... For the past 20+ years unless you played for the invincables, United, Chelsea or City you don't win a league simple as ... Doesn't mean you're not one of the best players in the world

The disrespect on Shearer is crazy “not world class” - premier league all time top scorer, 3rd place finish in the ballon d’or, euro 96 golden boot winner, 7x premier league TOTS, 2x PFA players player, 3 prem golden boots, 40+ G/A in 50 champs & europa league for Newcastle. That Suarez season was something else, probably the best PL season by striker, arguably his or Salah's 32 goals season. Van Persie was special too, so hard, for me its Aguero but thats just personal opinion.

Suarez was unreal some of the goals he scored for liverpool like that goal on the halfway line against Norwich, I doubt the other strikers could pull that off brilliant dribbler, link up play too

Aguero with the best goal/minute ratio of any player to ever set foot in the prem yet not getting a singular mention is a testament to the lack of ball knowledge on this account. And even if you dont want to go off of stats, and are one of those people who argues that there is more to a striker than goals, he was also undeniably (apart from thierry henry) the best build up striker to ever grace the prem. ridiculous

Shearer, number of goals proves it, and even had 3 serious injuries

Suarez in that season had 31 goals an like 13 assists, thats mental, but whats even more impressive is that he was banned for 5 games as well, so he would have more g/a, and the most impressive part is that he wasnt on the pens cause Gerrard was, and liverpool had 9 pens that season i think, its just the best individual season in pl history, they would have got the title as well if it wasnt for the ban

Its not even a debate, Suarez as an individual is so clear of any other Premier League striker, Henry is debatable, and he only stayed at Liverpool for like 2 and a half years its ridiculous

Van Nistrlrooy was, in the short time he was in the Premier League, the best striker. He was lethal. But he wasn't in the league long enough to be considered for this list. But his greatness should be acknowledged

Can't lie, leave the numbers but the longer I've seen Haaland play in the prem the more I think hes full of holes and weaknesses that other strikers don't have + his complete reliance on KDB at the moment.

Pointless comparing people who played for a couple seasons during their peak in the PL vs someone who played their final seasons in the league when they were "finished" look at a 3 year period of each players peak (can't with Haaland yet) and the answer is Alan Shearer

Rooney for me. Personal opinion as he can do it all. You wont find any of these other strikers winning a tackle at Right back, spraying a 60 yard ball like Pirlo then busting a gut to get in the box and finish it off. Rooney is the best.

Take Norwich out of Suarez's prem stats and he isn't as impressive. Revisionism of Suarez is mad, good season, but that's about it and he wasn't overly great against the top teams, just farmed the bottom half, hence why he ripped Spain apart.

The problem with a lot of these is that everyone is answering a different question. Who is the best striker to play in the premier league? Probably Suarez from that list, because his overall career was incredible. But who was the best premier league striker? That has to take longevity into account in my opinion, so you've got to be talking Henry, Shearer, Rooney etc at that point.
