Debbie Gibson Covers "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" 

I will always love ANYTHING Debbie sings! I first listened to her in 1987 when I started high school…and have been listening ever since. Like said, the best was meeting her at Border’s Book on her tour…when I got the photo, I leaned in too close, bumped her head…and said “I am so sorry…and your hair smells amazing!” See didn’t hit me so that was great. I sat 4 feet in the front chair while she sang…my favorite will ALWAYS be Lost In Your Eyes…and Debbie made so much I contact during the song, I thought I had a chance. I think the head smash ruined it. Almost, I almost got Debbie to mine. 😂 But seriously, I STILL play the records/cassettes/CDs…and it brings me right back to a place of peace, quietness…contentment like nothing else can. Her voice just puts me in a different place and has been my “go to” when dealing with stress or other hard times…I’ve told this story before and on Twitter to her…we were fortunate to have her at that time, 1987 on my first day to high school was terrifying, but “Shake Your Love” caught my attention and it was all I could think about. No more worry about school…I just fell in love with her voice…and it’s never stopped! ❤
