A recent episode of the award-winning podcast 'You, Me and the Big C' on BBC Radio 5 Live discussed palliative care, and the options available. Deborah James is a presenter of the podcast, and has stage 4 bowel cancer. Although hospices had been discussed, Deborah, like so many people, thought that hospices were simply where people spent the final days.
BBC Breakfast followed Deborah on a visit to Royal Trinity Hospice in London, where she met CEO Dallas Pounds and some of the people being supported and cared by the hospice.

I certainly am not looking forward to dying. But I rest in the knowledge that Jesus Christ will take my hand and I will be with Him, the Father, and my loved ones for eternity.

Jesus died for all our sins.No matter what you have done you can come to Jesus and He will forgive and abundantly pardon. A place in heaven is offered to all who will believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross and rose again for all mans sins.

She is not the only one suffering from bowel cancer, there are so many, why is she so important?????

Of course there are millions of people but not everyone is talking about it and making it public. She did so many great things for "cancer community". She is a public person and of course it helped her to be heard. Please don't use these words, she and her family are suffering at the moment, she didn't do anything wrong, she just wanted to raise the awareness of the bowel cancer....

Such an insulting comment - this woman has changed the landscape for how many people perceive cancer. “Why is she so important?” How many people do you know who have raised millions of pounds for pioneering cancer research? DAME Deborah James ❤️
