I Loved Debt and this show needs to come back on because people have been in Debt these days so this show needs to come back on.

michael castellon As the Winker told the Archive of American Television, that ain’t easy. 📺 But I agree, it’s overdue for a comeback. Or at least reruns on Game Show Network.

The only way I can see this show return is if Sony co-produced it. Coincidentally Michael Davies, who had a hand in it's original production, currently works for Sony.

This is a March 1997 episode of the short-lived American game show "Debt" and it's also an episode from 1997 College Week. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

People today wish their student loan debt only added up to around $10,000.

I think this show could probably work in today's era, b/c so many people are fighting off debt everyday given the state of the economy over the last 5-10 years or so.

It's on truTV, it's called "Paid Off", and it's far more preachy.

@@LogoMan7777 Yes, I just checked out the series description on truTV's website, and from the looks of it, it seems to a hybrid of "Debt" and "WinTuition."

Nick, which Q&A format do you prefer: "I Am, You Are" one, or the conventional Q&A one? I prefer the former. And which board do you prefer? The trilons (with the Debt-Onator as just a special question) or the TV Monitors (with the Debt-Onator as a special category)? Again, I prefer the former.

Me, I like the "I Am, You Are" format and the TV monitors version. The trilons version was an exact copy of "Jeopardy!" and that's what got them in trouble with Merv Griffin and Sony.
