I have had an abortion and brother Allen is right saying you live with guilt and shame. I’ve asked for the Lords forgiveness and repented. I dont agree with abortion but we all have sinned. I dont judge I give people the gospel and tell them to repent and be baptized once you ask God for forgiveness then forgive yourself. Say for instance my reason might be different for doing something than yours and zGod judge us differently for the same reason because my reason was evil and yours came from the heart. Remember God killed David and Bathsheba infant child who was 7 days old for the sin of David having Bathsheba husband Uriah murdered in order to sleep with her. So God took the life of the child and let David live.God judgement is not our judgment. We as believers are not here to save the world because we are here to give the gospel of Jesus Christ and hopefully they accept it and are baptized. I judge the Church and let God judge the world.

I had my daughter when unmarried and at 19. I was heavily criticized by unbelievers for keeping my daughter, not aborting her. Flip the coin, I was “shamed” at church for getting pregnant outside of marriage and told ‘I should know better’. Then I was told I could come to church but sit in the back with no one because I was living in sin. My own mother told me I was not to have a baby shower or given gifts because of said sin. I have never shared any of this with my now 30 year old daughter. She is not an STD like Planned Parenthood would say, or walking shame as the churches would say. She is a registered nurse and served in the United States Navy. She is a cousin, sister, and friend to many, and not a superficial one. I have seen her flourish through the years, and she has enriched my life and the lives of others. I am grateful for God’s grace and mercy, I am grateful for Christ followers that have helped me grow in my relationship with Christ, and I am thrilled to provide support and compassion for others who find themselves in my circumstance, vexed by either decision.

I hope you found a different church denomination than the one you went to at 19. It sounds like that church leader and the congregation thought that being Christian meant you were without sin which is false teaching. When my son talked to our pastor about marrying him and his fiancé, he revealed they were living together and that she might be pregnant. My pastor did not pass judgement, but encouraged the two to forget the big ceremony and get married as soon as possible to right the wrong and suggested they have a renewal of vows later to have a big celebration with family and friends. They followed his advice, but I doubt they will ever have their big celebration with renewal of vows as her atheist family objected to attending ‘a wedding that had already taken place’. Both parents and the siblings who lived locally attended intimate ceremony as it was short notice. Unfortunately she miscarried. My oldest daughter got pregnant at 19, unmarried, while living with my parents. My mother was a devoted Christian and very disappointed with her granddaughter, but stood by her during pregnancy and the birth. My mother took care of her great grandchild whenever my daughter worked or went to college classes. My parents church married my daughter and her husband after they had lived together and had a child (my daughter’s second and my son-in-law’s first). No judgement! My daughter had been pushed by coworkers and friends to get an abortion because she had dreams of a career and was attending college. My daughter emphatically said no. Ironic that 16 years later with three kids and still married that she is pro choice. I don’t get it.

As a woman who suffered 30 years of torment and torture due to an abortion I truly appreciate you putting this out there. The trauma of abortion didn't erase the trauma of an abusive rapist husband who then forced me to abort. It made it 100000xxx worse. PTSD from abortion is real. I became suicidal and tried to always find something or someone to numb my pain, to bury the guilt, to help me try to continue denial. It affected my ability to parent my living children, the shame festered and grew in my life and destroyed relationships and my bonding with my children..There is abortion recovery help out there for a reason, because there are many many more women like me, whether the choicers want to deny it or not! We exist and we are many! When you are told you can't grieve a child loss because either that child wasn't really a life or you did it so you don't deserve to grieve, you internalize that grief. Even physical chronic illness can come from internalized trauma from abortion. You can't take your own child's life and not have repercussions emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and many times physically.

Mr Parr - The points you are making, most are valid. What you seem to keep missing is this: 1). Abortion is sin. Murder is sin. Any murder is sin - not just murder in the womb. 2). Sin is God’s business - not your business - not my business 3). God gives us the free will/freedom to choose. That free will extends to all sin Mr Parr - not just abortion. 4). The woman and the MAN (because the baby is conceived by both) will have to answer to God for all of their sin to include the sin of murder. 5). It is not your business to judge - period! It is not the Gov’t’s business to judge and put laws on sin or to elevate certain sins as more egregious than others. 6). It is yours and my business to love others with love of Christ. The Bible says with loving kindness have I drawn them. 7). Finally, you and others males like you, make me sick blaming/judging a woman for abortion. Man of God, surely you know the scriptures concerning the “woman” that was caught in adultery. Because we both know the man was not going to be stoned to death - just the woman. Jesus told her accusers (who were all men), he without sin cast the first stone. Remember that Sir - again I say, it is not your business to judge any sin. Sin is God’s business. 7). Sir - what you can do if you don’t mind is a topic on why babies were killed in the Old Testament. There was no question as to whether it was a fetus, because the baby was already born. Every male child under the age of two years old was ordered by the Gov’t to be killed. My point again Sir, the Gov’t has no place taking away our freedom to choose; just like the Gov’t had no right to kill a baby after it was already born. I am not condoning abortion any more than any other sin. I’m simple saying my job is to live right before God and man. My job is to love God with all my heart and love my neighbor like I love myself. *I’ll be waiting to hear your position on the topic aforementioned. Until you can talk to us about the real issue which is sin, I will wait! I pray that God is leading you my brother. Because this is not about your career and how many clicks you get - it’s about eternity.

Should there be no laws since in your fifth point you say the government should not judge or put laws on sin? So, there should be no laws against robbery, murder, rape, abuse, etc? If I see someone abusing their child, I should mind my business and not judge since that is between the person and God?

One way of loving a person is speaking the truth to them in love.(Eph. 4:15) Is it not love to persuade them to repent before they one day stand before God? (James 5:19-20) And the freedom to choose involves consequences. There are some things I can not choose without being harmful to others. In the case of abortion, harmful consequences involve the baby inside a mother and the mother.

If the mother can't support herself and her child, it's the family's responsibility to step in. That's one reason we have families. If the family is irresponsible and selfish, then friends are to step in. After that, it's the neighbors. And there's also the church or other religious organization that should help. The LAST resort is the government! The government uses OUR MONEY for their programs. Why should *I* have to pay for the irresponsibility of *your* family and friends, etc.? -- Note that I'm not talking about the rare situation of desperation.

@@kathyh.1720 The reality of it all is that the support systems you speak of are not available for many of these women. Research the adoption and foster care services in your state and particularly so for minority children. Neglect and abuse permeates throughout the system leading to broken young adults and crime ridden early lives. These lost kids do not receive much consideration form the education system, juvenile courts, and other institutions designed to CONTROL rather than educate. I am not a proponent for abortion but the reasons chosen by some women to go that route may involve more than just selfishly avoiding an inconvenient pregnancy. Don't know for sure about the reasons but the final consequence will surely be between them and God.
@bluealize1
@bluealize1 8 дней назад
@@kathyh.1720 I understand your point but if you aren’t willing to pay for the irresponsibility of the mother or family why are you fighting so hard for this unwanted child to be born? This is where your hypocrisy shines through you care about the child superficially while it’s unborn but after birth you wash your hands of it and want it to be someone else’s problem. You don’t even want your tax dollars near that born child. What happened to the preciousness of its life? It disappeared I suppose once it came out of the womb. Fighting for its life in the womb doesn’t make you morally superior especially when out of the womb you don’t feel your tax dollars should go to help the unwanted child. I’m not saying it’s right, but the woman who chooses an abortion likely knows family and most other people like you won’t want the baby either including herself, so she chooses the option that her family and most other people like yourself want in theory but are too self righteous to say out loud and she executes in reality what the rest of society including you say in theory.

This sounds an awful lot like an argument that it is in favor of the kind of nanny state the Dems want. Can we start talking about vasectomies and male birth control?? I would like to see men speak on these topics and hold themselves accountable for the decision to create life or not. It’s always on the woman no matter what. From conception on. Men are never held accountable for an act they are necessary to. Women cannot get pregnant without the sperm. I never hear men speak on their role in all of this.. Just preaching and judging, telling a woman what to do.

I firmly believe in God's respect for life and His communicated view of life at every stage of development. As a Christian, I believe that Christians should adopt the same view of life as God does. However, a secular government is not obligated to adopt Christian morality or standards derived from scripture. They are under no obligation to legislate laws designed to conform to Christian attitudes or beliefs, especially when all who identify as Christians do not agree doctrinally. I stand firm in my belief that God values life at every stage and is disappointed with those whose behavior demonstrates a callous view of life. I also believe that no secular human authority, especially one with no official state religion, should abandon the standards in their federal document to legislate based on some Christians who believe their views should be forced on all citizens regardless of their faith or lack thereof. I absolutely believe that God would not want Christians to engage in strong-arm tactics to push an agenda. God's Kingdom is the government where all Christian views will be upheld, as only Christians will be citizens. That is where our true citizenship is. Philippians 3:20

This is triggering to me in that when I was a non-Christian I was the victim of a sexual assault, God was not a part of my life so I made decisions based on my personal trauma. As a Christian, to be completely honest, I'm not for sure what I would do if I or my daughter were violently attacked and being forced by the government and "Christian's of today," to not have a choice. I understand the sanctity of life, but one must look at life from both aspects, if the mother's life is in danger from a miscarriage, are you, "Christian's" ok with being the catalyst for her dying in order to bring a dead fetus into the world, are you ok with her being in prison leaving perhaps other children behind for someone else to raise because you wanted to force her to bring a child she never wanted into this world? If murder is murder, now you have become an accessory to murder and child displacement. I love the Lord with all my heart and soul, I have to work out my own salvation while loving on all mankind regardless of the sins or choices they make. I will never look down on any woman in our congregation that admits to having an abortion because I know that the God I serve is a forgiving God, because He forgave me, I just thank God I didn't have the government and so-called Christian's trying to force me to make a decision according to their will. Thanks for this video. I am a christian man who is pro-life but continues to struggle with the evangelical stance on "no exceptions" for abortion when it comes to the less than one percent of those seeking abortions due to rape or incest. Some stats indicate one to five percent. Whatever the stats are, I can't begin to imagine the horror of the act itself. But then, to insist that she carry that child for nine months as she is reliving the horrific nightmare over and over would be absolutely devastating. I don't believe that gov't or church has a right to demand that of any woman. Every female that is, unfortunately dealt this hand in life may not have the courage and strength of the mother you referenced in the video. And we thank God for all those women who do have. Pro-choice Christians don’t necessarily justify abortion. They are pro-choice because they respect an individual’s right to choose even when they disagree with act. Why didn’t God stop Adam from sinning even when HE knew the whole human race would fall? Because the biggest dignity given to man is his right to choose whether you agree with him or not. And even God will not violate that. Furthermore, we (Christians) are not called to go around “forcing” unbelievers to follow our beliefs. In fact, we are not even allowed to judge let alone telling people what to do in their private lives. That’s God’s department. 1st Corinthians 5:12 “What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside.” There you have it. When it comes to private lives of unbelievers, we need to learn to mind our business and pray.

@austinakers Here are the Biblical descriptions/examples (not prescriptions) I promised last night at your request for resources that support the video. 1. Mary was a single teenaged mother. When found pregnant, her fiance Joseph wanted to privately end the engagement, until the Lord sent a message to him not to. She could also been stoned. Out of trusting the Lord's choice, Jesus was able to come through the virgin birth The LORD needed to give us the Savior. Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 1:26-38, 2. Incest (2 Samuel 13) and rape (Genesis 34) are brutal and take life and joy out of a woman. I am not anointed enough to comment beyond saying a woman who trusts God's allowance of conception is to be praised and has a higher level of faith than all of us. The Holy Spirit once told me, It is a strong faith saying, "The LORD has given me something beautiful out of an ugly situation." 3. Pregnancy by deception: Genesis 38. God spared the unwed mother from being burned, and Jesus was born generations later from this child of Tamar. 4. Pregnancy in older age: Genesis 12, 15, 16-18, 21 (Sarah) child Isaac the bloodline Jesus came from, Luke 1:(Elizabeth) child was John the Baptizer. God is aware of every birth and has a purpose. Psalms 139, 127:3-5. And if this has helped, I made a difference. My mother wanted to abort me. My father said no. He would take care of me. After birth. my mother wondered how she could have ever considered it. I helped my mother fully understand and accept salvation over time, was her sole caregiver in the end and am called to be a children's minister. All life is precious. I have almost been raped, so understand most of it. I have been abstinent and understand the power needed in the waiting. Mary said it best in Luke 1:38: Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the LORD! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. This is The Beat's website, so I will let him answer the rest of the questions

Why do the majority of Christian families in the USA only have 2 children? In the United States, some Christian families have chosen to limit their family size to an average of two children, often through medical interventions such as sterilization or birth control. They see this as a responsible choice, aiming to provide the best possible life for their children. However, this decision can be seen as contradictory to the biblical view that "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him" (Psalm 127:3). These families sometimes overlook the possibility that they might be placing personal convenience and societal norms above trust in God's plan for their lives. The irony becomes even more pronounced when these same families criticize those who are pro-choice, arguing fervently for the sanctity of life while simultaneously taking measures to limit the creation of life within their own homes. This inconsistency raises difficult questions about the sincerity of their beliefs. It seems contradictory to argue that life is sacred and then actively prevent the birth of more children, suggesting a selective application of biblical principles. In doing so, they may unintentionally reflect a double standard, where the sanctity of life is upheld in public discourse but managed differently in private decisions.

It’s better to use birth control than to abort a child. My paternal grandmother had 14 and maternal grandmother had 13. Not every woman wants to put her body through that. Some people making minimum wage can’t afford a lot of children. I am pro-life but women should have access to birth control. They aren’t killing a baby by preventing a pregnancy.
@rjloveJesus
@rjloveJesus 5 дней назад
@@angelmocha9 While it may seem more practical to use birth control than to face the difficult choice of abortion, one could argue that both actions contradict God’s plan for human life. In many religious views, particularly in Christianity, children are considered a blessing and a gift from God. By using birth control to prevent pregnancy, one is actively interfering with the natural process of procreation that God has ordained. This interference suggests a rejection of the possibility of new life, which can be viewed as going against God’s will. The Bible emphasizes the importance of trusting in God’s plan, including His role in determining the number of children a family has. It is also believed that God will provide for the needs of a family, even in situations of financial hardship. Choosing to prevent life because of economic concerns or personal discomfort implies that we are taking control over something God has commanded us to trust Him with. The sanctity of life begins at conception, and some religious teachings extend this to even the potential for life. Thus, using birth control could be seen as denying the opportunity for life to exist, which is contrary to the divine purpose.

All these arguments make sense and are applicable to a Christian but if the woman doesn’t subscribe to that it doesn’t hold up. Also these points are good but in focusing on pro life and only that you have forgotten about life outside of the womb. You’ve pointed out the minority of unwanted children that overcame their obstacles, but what about the majority who are left unwanted in the system? The ones who don’t find loving homes? The ones or many who end up abused emotionally, physically or sexually? You are using the minority example to paint a potential picture for the majority which if we look at the historical trend doesn’t happen, most unwanted children that end up in the adoption system do not have happy hopeful joyful lives. Now that doesn’t justify abortion but it does bring up the question of why is all the energy and concern and fight for children before they are born and not so much for after they are born. Laws will be pushed to make sure they are born but no laws are put in place to ensure these unwanted children do not suffer…. Most Christian’s and non Christian’s wash their hands of this and remove their concern and involvement. People fighting for pro life and to stop abortions from being legal should also be working on laws to make sure all the children born going into the adoption system are guaranteed loving homes and the best chance at a future. If you will force them to be born, them go all the way and value their life after they are born. I think at the end of the day, let that option and decision be between them and God. Even in Eden, God did not block access to the tree of knowledge of good and evil, it was there in the midst with full access. He gave them instructions not to eat or touch it with the consequences that would follow and left them with their choice and consequence. You can’t force morality, people have to choose it,removing the choice doesn’t make them more moral. All lives are precious, yes. But quality of life matters too. Life just for the sake of life in this world is a different thing. Not all lives are treated or lived equally. Some people are blessed beyond measure in every way and loved and some are left so alone and empty, in their experience, life isn’t worth living ( don’t judge unless you have been in that isolating hopeless, tragic spot) Treat the causes that lead to the need for needing the choice if you are going to insist on removing it or deal adequately with the aftermath of removing that choice…it’s hypocritical to do everything in your power to “ care” and make sure the unborn are born to just leave the unwanted born up to chance. Invest just as ferverantly in them too. If not, leave that sin between and the blood of their lives up between their mothers and God.

@bluealize1
@bluealize1 7 дней назад
@@theeternalsbeliever1779 It is not a foolish argument, you just insist on making a moral argument without considering if your audience shares the same morals. when you do that , the result is pointless and a conclusion is never met because two different conversations are being argued. it's like someone arguing the concept of the trinity as traditional Christian to a JW, two different bibles are used to support each side of the argument. You're not going anywhere because the reference points are different and you are not on the same page. As far as when life begins, the scientific argument Mr. Parr uses is not definite. It is not concluded when life begins definitively, if that were the case taking a person with no detectable brain activity off of life support should receive the same energy as anti abortion activist, both parties are unable to advocate for themselves, both are dependent on an outside source for their life support and both have already had "sperm and egg" meet, so they would both constitute as living, but a big part of how we judge and treat stopping supportive life care is how we view life and no one has an issue with next of kin deciding to end it with the patient on life support. It is designated to be a personal choice between the family members or POA. Otherwise why not have the government make laws to make it illegal to take patients off of life support? At the end of the day, Mr. Parr does contradict himself throughout, stating that using the minority of cases shouldn't be used to justify the allowing of abortion, but then uses the minority or anecdotal cases of hope to justify forcing unwanted pregnancies, you cant have it both ways. At the end of the day it really should be about choice. If God Himself from the very beginning, knowing the choices humans would make, both good and bad, did not remove the choices from us, then who are we as humans to remove that choice from others? The whole point was for humans to reject sin on our own free will, not force only the good option before us. A forced option is not choice at all. Now reasoning with people and changing their hearts on how evil abortion is is one thing and I believe should be the way to go; but forcing a mother to carry a child she does not want only to have her murder that child in her heart, doesn't stop the sin, according to Christ , if she murdered him /her in her heart, it's as guilty as if she did it for real, problem still there. I am not arguing that abortion is right, I am saying it is a choice of the mother and it is between her and God. It's hypocritical, especially within the Christian community who would fight against a woman having that choice and then turn around and not care for the expecting mother who needs help or even care for the unwanted child they forced to come into existence because "its not their responsibility" or "its not their consequence" in the same way you absolve yourselves of responsibility to care and protect the child after it is born, be consistent, life is not only precious in the womb, then loses value after birth. If you know you are not going to adopt that unwanted child and treat it well, or actively and consistently help that mother with the rearing of that unwanted child, then forcing her to continue the pregnancy is hypocritical and cruel. She is just doing to the child before birth what you are doing to it after birth. i personally think laws should be in place to make sure these forced pregnancy babies are cared for adequately and loved well, especially if they are forced into existence by law. But interestingly enough most of the time the people who are champions of anti abortion laws are also champions of striking down laws to help the mom in said situations, its usually the same Christian group. I guess the Christian love and duty stops at the womb, which makes you wonder if it ever was really there to begin with.

However God has been with me and healed me and I trust him fully and he has healed much of that pain and confusion and initial horror I felt. Whether someone has an abortion or not post rape - the rape isn’t made better or worse, it’s adding a further trauma on to the initial trauma. Rape will leave an imprint for life - so I truly can say that as someone who has been this person. I have friends who have had abortions, and the absolute pain and mental torture I saw them endure after the fact is heartbreaking.

As a Texan, I live in a place with restricted abortion. Abortion must remain accessible and legal. Women in Texas and across the nation are dying and have lost their fertility because of this pro-life stuff( no joking). OB-GYN's literally cannot even do part of what they went to school to do and have been forced to watch patients get near death's door before they can even try to legally help the mother. And abortion isn't considered a human rights abuse. Forced pregnancy IS. Women have been even forced to delay certain medications and even cancer treatments because of this type of stuff. A woman should indeed have autonomy over her body. I find it ironic that there are no laws regarding the policing of men's bodies or as much punishment in the criminal system for the rape (the violation of a woman's own sovereign space) that even lead to some of these women considering getting an abortion. I wouldn't force abortion on anyone. That would be for the woman to decide. Let's keep in mind though that pregnancy is a private and personal matter and we shouldn't shame people who make certain choices we don't necessarily agree with.

If we are truly Pro-Life this conversation would expand beyond the womb and include how unjust actions toward the poor and persons of color. Civil Liberties do matter because many times they directly impact the lives of minorities in this nation. I personally would have liked you to address the unique circumstances when a Mother’s life is at risk. For example, an eptopic pregnancy. It’s a reality that woman may be in that position. Your question is framed from the perspective of human secular law, not scripture. Human secular law doesn't define the termination of a pregnancy as "murd3r." The bible doesn't define the accidental death of a child in the womb as "murd3r" and it never once mentions the intentional termination of a pregnancy. So, just viewing the act as murd3r yet having no legal or biblical authority to attach or officially recognize the act of terminating a pregnancy as murd3r doesn't effectively bolster your position since it isn't universally or biblically recognized as murd3r.

Not for causal or “elective” abortion, as you put it Allen, but my concern is for those rare cases (rape, incest, life of the mother). I just think rape and incest victims should be free to make the difficult decision whether or not go through the pregnancy - the decision should be her’s alone to make. You also laid out situations where doctors can perform procedures to save the life of the mother, while trying save the unborn as well. That’s great, BUT apparently that’s not what seems to be case for what’s happening in some of the reported deaths of women who were denied treatment. Why, when these women could have had some life saving treatment, did they die because they didn’t have access to emergency treatment? So you speak what is the ideal situation but that doesn’t seem to appear what is happening

Rape is an incredibly horrific and traumatic event for any woman. But the question to be answered is not how was one conceived, but was one conceived. Abortion only adds to the trauma of the rape. It gives the punishment for the horrific rape to the innocent victim, not the guilty rapist. Remember that abortion is wrong because it unjustly kills an innocent life. There is no OB/GYN who denies treatment for an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. Dr. Anthony Levatino, a former abortionist, has stated that abortion is never required to save a mother's life. He has stated that if the mother's life is at risk, the baby can be delivered more quickly and without harm to the mother through a C-section.

None of those things are the child's fault. Once a child is conceived regardless of the method it is a person with rights made in the image of God. People have no right to end its life. It should have a chance to live through adoption or other means.

I had(ve) similar questions. Had my first child at 17 - PCP sat me down and told me that at that age, my 17 year old body was not made for what it was about to go through. Abortion was never a thought at the time but I did have a difficult pregnancy and delivery. I concluded it was part of the reaping process for premarital relations. I reference this because, if at 17, my body was not ready, how ready is a 9-16 year old body of a SA victim? Next challenge I'm trying to reconcile and Brother Allen, I asked on another of your videos. Murder is wrong, absolutely agree with it. Lawmakers say it's wrong and have established laws to ban aborting innocent children, however, absolutely will not take a stance on gun control citing it violates 2nd Amendment right to bear arms. Makes me feel as though, "No you can't murder children in the womb but we sure not gone do anything to try and curb murdering them in the schools!" I feel like we sometimes pick and choose the sin we condemn and pick and choose the sin we justify and forgive. Lastly, I have had an abortion. Not a decision I ever thought I'd make but I did. My heart hurts for those who are experiencing the emotional, mental, and spiritual impact it has had and/or still having. My experience has been one of accepting God's forgiveness and walking this journey in that. Here's what I'm saying, if a spade is a spade despite the card, so is sin. We place value and/or hierarchy on sin and sometimes can be dogmatic about the sin we weigh the heaviest but miss the same soup of sin cause its in a different bowl. Thank you brother Allen for the work you do but I'm gonna still be in prayer about thos topic.

We need then to figure out Numbers 5:11-31 where it appears that God would induce and abortion in the case of adultery. We make a big presupposition of what happens at conception. Is it life (although life precedes conception as both the sperm and egg are alive) or are we arguing for personhood. We have trouble even with the terminology.
@mjr9931
@mjr9931 9 дней назад
@andrewcampbell7405 A couple things. First, let me say that the subject of abortion is undoubtedly a moral issue, particularly the “elective” abortion. I think the decision to abort an unborn should always be approached with sensitivity, acknowledging it is a life in the womb. But I think while we can maintain a biblically backed opinion about the sinfulness of it, regardless of how the pregnancy originated, we should respect a pregnant woman’s (or young girl’s) decision. At the end of the day, one way or another, the life of woman is impacted, not our’s or anybody else’s. And I wouldn’t dare tell a 12 or 13 yo girl who was raped to abort or go through the body altering pregnancy and labor pains- and I believe that the government has no place inserting itself in a situation like that. The most we should do, if inquired, what scripture says concerning the life of the womb.

There shouldn’t be a loophole for murder based on someone’s age and location. Using examples of breathing machines, mothers being the means of carrying and life support, etc is no different than thieves and murders. There are so many types of contraceptives: condoms, birth control pills, morning-after pills, birth control patches, IUDs, the pull-out method (though not very effective), and even abstinence-just to name a few. Given the abundance of options to prevent pregnancy, I find it difficult to understand why abortion is considered necessary in most cases when these choices are available during the act. The argument is not just about the availability of contraceptives but also about responsibility. The decision to engage in sexual activity comes with the responsibility to protect oneself and others from unintended consequences. With such a wide array of contraceptives designed to prevent pregnancy, it's reasonable to expect individuals to use these methods proactively if they are not ready to bring a life into the world. Furthermore, once conception has occurred, we are no longer dealing with just a personal choice but the potential life of another human being. Every life has inherent value and dignity, and abortion ends that life. If there were multiple opportunities to prevent conception in the first place, why should we resort to a solution that terminates an already developing life? This is not to diminish the challenges that come with unexpected pregnancies, but there are alternatives, such as adoption, and support systems to help women through difficult times. With both contraceptives and support available, abortion seems like an avoidable outcome for many situations.

One thing that is being over looked is the same procedure that women have for an abortion is the same procedure women have when they have a miscarriage. Which actually happens quite often. Because of these new abortion laws, women’s lives are being put at risk after the pain & suffering of losing a child. I have had an abortion because I wasn’t ready to be a mom. Initially, the process of making that decision hurt however, I healed and have 2 beautiful children. I’ve also had a miscarriage. Had I not had the procedure, I wouldn’t have been able to have my kids. In a country that refuses to pay women the same as men, refuses to provide free healthcare, doesn’t guarantee maternity leave and leaves our children vulnerable to gun violence on a daily basis; I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to demand that women have children regardless of the situation. Yes. I am a Christian… btw…

More christians need to speak out like you. Abortion is not murder, there's no biblical bases for that.

Is it possible that the soul does not enter the body until it takes its first independent breath? A minister once gave the analogy that the body is like a suit of clothes for the soul. If you take a suit of clothes off, it loses its shape. If the body doesn’t have a soul….So a woman is three weeks pregnant. The body is already forming in her body. So there’s the woman’s body and the baby’s body. Now, if an adult dies, they leave a body here. That body does not have a soul. That body is not capable of breathing on its own, and yet you could hook tubes up to it and make it live indefinitely. We are that far in medical science. Does this mean I don’t have the right to disconnect the tubes? Does that mean this body has equal rights to someone living and breathing and walking around with a soul? So, I still stand with My Body, my choice.

What about the safety and the sanctity of the woman who is carrying this fetus? You have no idea what it's like to have to carry a baby. Push it out and then have to worry about how you're going to take care of it. If you're not going to be there to help that woman and the child throughout their life, then you really should mind your business. The bible says faith without words is dead, so don't just preach, offer physical, tangible help

Crazy how he mentioned that there are groups out there who a catered to just that. Is your answer to allow the mother to end the life while calling yourself a Christian? Are you saying that if a person kills someone who is outside the womb, that I have no right to complain because I physically was not present to aid in their protection? Is that the argument you want to bring to the Lord once your eyes shut for good?

There is plenty of tangible help, even thirty-five years ago in the small town where I gave birth at age seventeen. Pregnancy centers and assistance from churches has grown since then, even without being able to advertise. Abortions aren't safe for women, and haven't become safer over the years. Gosnell is not an outlier. Many do the unsanitary and dangerous things he's in prison for.

It gets old hearing women tell men to mind their own business when it comes to abortion. It is our business. It’s because there aren’t enough Godly men speaking up that it was ever made legal in the first place. Abortion is murder. Stop trying to excuse it. You are not Christian.

@christlivesministries288 Please try to think about what Rev. Parr is saying differently because what he is saying is not his perspective. He is speaking out of a trust in and respect for the LORD. He is speaking to a Christian audience. And as Christians we have to honor God's choice. We believe that all life comes from God. Yet we live in a world that speaks as though the Lord is not the Creator and does not exist. Thus they speak from a mankind perspective. If God gives a woman and man a child, He plans to help them take care of the baby because He loves all three. No Rev. Allen Parr does not know what it is like to physically feel a baby coming out, but he saw his wife deliver his children. He is not telling people what to do. He is a preacher speaking as God's mouthpiece/ ambassador telling people what God wants us to do. In addition, the LORD knows what childbirth is like since He designed it. And another huge truth that is missing is how did the baby get inside the woman in the first place? Women have to be responsible for their choices choices. Intimacy is not just for pleasure it is also for conception. So anytime a woman engages she should realize that is what she's saying she wants to happen because she's doing what it takes to get a baby. I am uncertain of why you quoted the Bible verse from James but since you did, you just answered your own question with the verse you used: faith without works is dead. If/since women believe/have faith in/ trust in God , then their actions to have their babies show they trust Him to take care of them. Their faith is alive. If they choose to abort, then their faith is dead because they are not trusting Him to provide. [ And I wrote this before I saw your title. As I put your title in last . ]

The life of the woman is NOT more important than the life of the child. That is an inherently selfish argument.

Thank you, brother, for tackling this tough subject despite the pushback you will receive. As a retired therapist, I treated many women in intractable emotional pain from having abortions in their past. Your arguments are well crafted and biblical. Blessings on you and your family today.😊

I was born with a dying organ I couldn’t consume milk but when my mother called out to god I started to cry out on my death bed and she was thankful to god and as I get older my body seemed normal now that’s gods love.

I know a couple who had sex outside of marriage. She decided to have an abortion due to financial worries. The guy who wanted the baby and was prepared to accept responsibility and care for the child. It went to a court of law and the child was aborted. Quite sad and callous from the woman. He was devastated
