What her nominator, King Arts librarian Shalana Jaquess, said: “She excels at using the arts to meet the needs of ALL students in her classroom. This year Randi took the initiative to build a specialized potter's wheel that made the pottery unit accessible for a specific student with limited mobility. Her modified design allowed this student to be fully included in the pottery experience.”
Ms. Vega was recognized at the Dec. 18 Board of Education meeting.
