I've had my Trusty Forclaz Trek 100 jacket (in bright blue) for a year now and really like it. A few times it's been the perfect thing to throw on at night on sub-zero wild camps for that bit of extra, all-important insulation. I like that I don't have to be overly careful with it because it's not a £200+ Rab item, and the hood is a REALLY good fit, along with that nice high chin. Great jacket for the money, and the down is RDS-certified (Responsibly Sourced Down), which I always look for. Good review!

Have come to take a look after you got a mention by Trevor (Summit or Nothing) I’ve subscribed to your channel and will work my way through all your previous videos too .. hope I enough time. That Decathlon jacket gets many good reviews.I'll probably buy one myself, just a pity the shop is so far away. (well, 16 miles) I used to wild camp, but that was several years ago. I’ve decided to start again next year so have been watching many RU-vidrs recently, to get in the mood and help me decide on what new kit I need. I have a lightweight tent and some equipment, but I think I deserve some new gear now ... just hope my wife agrees. I have made a few videos too, the majority showing Ships on the Tyne, but like all of us, I am still learning.

Just stumbled upon this channel; liking the Casey Neistat style with the outdoors reviews. subscribed. Decathlon has a very decent range of kit. Might not have the green credentials of other brands, but for those starting out, or needing to kit out their children, it’s a great place to start.

It's a very small fit and most people will have to size up. For me that was moving from a large to extra large. Sadly though the fit was still too tight with only a medium size fleece on. Arm and body length were fine but just too tight around mid riff area when pulling together to zip up. I would only be able to comfortably layer up with a base layer and pretty thin fleece. Moving to an XL would have been a step too far on the rest of the fit. I've now returned and gutted as all the web hype about this jacket is true. It's a warm great bargain when you can't stretch to an expensive RAB. Sadly though you do need to be wary of the fit.
They're a really good budget down jacket. I bought my parents one each at Christmas and they have worn every day on their daily lockdown walks they do. They love them! Hope you find it to be the same. MADS
Couldn't say for skiing sorry as never experienced snow sports. My guess as an underlayer but not waterproof so I would prefer a waterproof shell on top of me. MADS

Nice review, one thing to note is that you didn't talk about sizing and fit! Which is very important In review. Most people wanna know about that. Other than that well done review and keep up the good content coming
