The fresh & black is not good in windy situation. Due to the net on the side of the tent, I felt wind inside the tent all the time. And more dust inside. It was very frustrating. Never happened with classic 2seconds. next time, I'm going to but the MH100.
Thanks a lot for the comparison. I saw people having complains about wind going through the Fresh Black but i'm still going to choose for this one since i'm going to warm country during summer. Therefore an extra breeze sounds actually very nice to have. If i went to a cold country i might have chosen the other one.
@@TufescuDragos Why do i need to be in the tent during the day? Besides the darker the better for keeping the warm light out. And also for not waking up too early in the morning.
The fresh & black is better for one simple reason ..the rainfly is thicker and thus sturdier !!! I had the MH 100 rainfly die on me twice ..very thin and damages easily ...it's the main reason I switched to my tarp , much more reliable. The fresh & Black (3 person) on the other hand is still being used by us for family trips ...this one did not fail on me (yet)
La verdad por precio y prestaciones es major la mh100 pero lo que tiene la fresh & black es su efecto de frescura y que es más resistente y soporta más agua !!
Thank you for review both mh100 tent series. If Im not mistaken the mh100 black & white tent it just released recently(not more than a year?). I think, for the most of the camper would build their tent under the shade/no direct sunlight. So, its black/light blocking & white/reflective its a bit off the chart for few people. But the 2nd gen mh100 won with their multiple air ventilation & rugged bottom layers.
For festivals the fresh and black is worth it's weight in gold: keep the drinks cool and let me sleep as long as I want :). You can get the weight lower by replacing the poles with aluminum ones and using light weight pegs...
Hi, Not able to do temperature testing using thermometer but would say that difference is very little.. outer sheet of Fresh black is little bit insulated..
@@nomadiclife I'd say it is a huge difference in the sun - it doesn't heat up too fast. I wish more tent producers would use the silber lining to keep the sun out. So for festivals or camping grounds without shade I'd go with the fresh and black every time, it's the difference between sleeping until 6am and 9am :)
For places like Kedarnath and amarnath which has extreme weather which one would be better. There's is also price difference of 2k both and what's reason. Is fresh black better quality?
There's no temprature rating of tents, however fresh black is not so good for cold weather due to more ventilation windows.. you may go for basic MH100.. Yes fresh black is more sturdy that's why it is costlier..
2023 Dec and this video still rocking, glad i found this. As we're a couple thinking to try camping for once, can we buy regular one for 3K. Is it worth the price or should we go for 5K fresh n black. I'm sure we won't use much, hardly 4,5 times a year. Please reply:)
Both tents are equally waterproof, we have tested side by side in full night rain. You can watch the video on below link - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DwrlhbDfDrE.html
I just purchased the Fresh and Black and this tent is way better here in the Philippines compared to the classic MH100. We stayed in our Fresh&Black tent even until 10am direct sunlight and still very cool inside compared to our old MH100 classic
Yes both tents are fully waterproof, i have used mh100 in full night rain. Ground sheets are even more waterproof and sturdy than top sheet so that water doesn't soak inside from ground..
Bro I've seen your videos, can u please make a video on camping gear under affordable prices, we all are planning to do cycling to other states, can u please make a video on this camping...
I hope you see my comment 😊.. I saw some people saying that mh100 sticks start breaking if tent is in sunlight ? You said you have used it ,plz share review & tell me did you test it in direct sunlight ?
Damn bro i love your content, you provide great info for beginners, show people you do t need expensive camping gear to enjoy camping 🏕 and its just great advice for everyong keep up the good work bro.
Yes you can, surface area is equivalent to the double bed. But it will be a total mess, you won't have left any space for luggage and you will end up pushing the tent walls while sleeping. Have a look at Arpenaz 4 Family tent, a better option as per your requirement..
@@nomadiclife yes i already have the Aspennaz 4.1 fresh and Black. I was wanting something smaller like a 4person tent from quechua that could fit on my camping bag. I already have a 4person tent i was just wanting a quechua 4person tent fresh and black version though.
I hope you notice my question. I heard the regular MH100 is too hot even in cold windy nights. If that's true. How much better is the Fresh n Black version?
Hi, Mh100's top sheet is made-up of normal material, which will not block heat/temprature tranfer with outer enviornment. So it will be hot during Summers and cold in winters. (Also experienced myself) Whereas top sheet of Fresh Black' is made-up of slightly insulated material, which will block heat/temprature transfer upto some extent. In conclusion, Fresh Black's top sheet will block cold temperature outside and it will be slightly warm inside during winters. For Summers, it's outer surface is white, which won't absorb heat during the day, also it's more ventilated as I shown in video.. I hope it solves your query.. Thanks
Basic MH100 is compact and light weight, you may consider it if you are a trekking person. Rest in all parameters Fresh black is better than MH100. Yes ofcourse it is worth the price difference in terms of quality, durability, ventilation, insulated top sheet etc..
Not possible for 4 people at all. Ideally 3 people can sleep without luggage. But I recommend it for 2, one slot for luggage.. four children without luggage can sleep but with zero space left for luggage..
Can anyone tell me a better choice between coleman darwin and frsh and black. Iam going to buy in bulk, though iam going to try still would like some suggestions.
Price mh100- 3499 & fresh Black- 4999.. agar Decathlon store hai nearby toh offline le lo, nahi hai toh Decathlon app download kar lo, free home delivery hai. Price same hai chahe online lo chahe offline..
I have read and heard couple of reviews for MH100 that says it is not fully waterproof. How well does it do in the heavy rainfall and windy conditions?
I don't think that's true, I have used it once in full night rain and didn't even get a drop inside. About windy conditions, I never encountered as such but I think it's gonna be fine if you properly fit it using all pegs and ropes.. it can withstand upto 40km/h wind as per product technical specifications by Decathlon..
That is not true I have personally used this tent for my Tarsar Marsar trek Kashmir. Believe me brother It was raining for 2 days but not a single drop comes in. You can surely go for it.
It's not true. I used all kind of tent made by decathlon (2 seconds, MH100), and no one of us wasn't like that. I used them in Iceland (rain everyday and every night), under storm in Corsica and Armenia. I never had a single drop of water inside. I slept on the snow as well or in mountains in summer, close to a waterfall, when it's all wet at the morning. In windy condition, I cannot advise the F&B edition. Due to the net on the side of the tent, wind come inside and you feel it.
Bro can we just add a blanket on the floor of tent, while sleeping, because u have shown sleeping bags something in other video which looks big,.. Instead of that can we replace with blanket?
Why can't Decathlon make tent colours that blend with the environment such as green or brown or blue? Decathlon says they use the current colours to reduce using different dye to protect the environment. I find it to be a lazy excuse.
