A film by Decca, to explain/promote the Decca Navigation System, and its application in aircraft. Examples of its uses show Vickers Viscounts, and the Silver City service. I am guessing this dates to the late 1950s, or possibly the early 1960s.
Lots of interesting information about how Decca navigation systems worked in aircraft back in the day. The system, which had helped with the D-day operation, was made obsolete in 2000.

Thanks for posting this video. I collected a bunch of DECCA navigation equipment as well as LORAN-C stuff and created hardware to make it actualy work (I even once made a DECCA Flight-Logger to follow GPS cooordinates) It's a weird hobby but seeing this video it gives me an impression how it actialy was used.

Great video. We had a red slave of chain "3f" in Coburg / Bavaria. It was a part of the german chain "3f".
