I love he's confessing how he got priorities out of order. Many pastors would die rather than show their humanness. I have truly enjoyed your teachings. Will still be listening weekly until you return. May you returned renewed, rejuvenated and restored to wholeness.

I absolutely love your transparency and it’s not easy leading a flock of people like us every single day, but you have done it with passion. God will continue to speak to you because you are one of His messengers. I love you, we all love you, and establish your first love-with God! When you come back, I pray God’s anointing be upon you. Someone put water in my eyes when I saw the Alfred Street family laying hands on and praying for pastor Wesley.

Church! Get ready because when Pastor Wesley returns, he’s going to be wiser, stronger and better! I encourage you all to spend time with the Lord in prayer while Pastor does the same. There’s nothing like being able to clearly hear from God in the quiet space. The Lord reveals so much when He’s not competing with our schedules. Prayers up for the entire ministry.

He put Dr. Judy at the helm for the next 14 weeks!! It. Is. On. And. POPPING!!! She is my FAVORITE Bible teacher and second favorite pastor at Alfred Street. Look at God!! :0) :0) :0) :0) :0)

Thank you for you are giving me Selah. This has been on me from God for months and I have been too afraid to stop. I left my church and found myself in another thinking I can't leave the congregation to rest and be alone with God! I am a minister too and know God told me to take a sabbatical! Hallelujah Jesus! Thanking God that He gave you the courage to obey Him and not care what man thinks about it.

What a courageous move in these days and times when busy-ness even in church activities often supersedes our need for prayer, quiet time, and intimacy with God. I am so glad to know that Pastor Wesley listened to the voice of God and that the congregation has agreed to support him in doing so. I pray that he enjoys this time and that his decision to rest will be an example for believers everywhere.

Great Point!!19:36-20:29....when I first started watching this video I found myself asking why is he explaining himself in such detail...smh...but then I started thinking about the "people" and "how we can be" some of us feel as though we own our Pastors and many of us make them out to be our own tangible gods, and because we lack a personal relationship with God we put unnecessary pressure on Pastors. I went through a season in my life that was so rough (to say the least) that if God through my Pastor didn't speak into my soul and spirit, I would still be lost to this day.....So with that being said.... I still say that it is a shame that he must explain but I see why he is doing so. Great Point!!! 22:13- 23:45 I feel the exact same way about my church too!!! My Pastor certainly "Rocks" and He loves us like that too...He (my Pastor) would certainly have to explain to us... and He always leaves us in anointed hands... LOLOLOL Point 27:02-28:00 .....THAT'S WHAT I SAID!! 20:20-33:50 Point 44:00 smh lol he is right some do feel like that. Wow Now... Preach!!! Some people thought that they were going to designate themselves as of some importance to me above God, and got removed and thrown down, God did it. That is also a danger to designate yourself on an elevated level to others that did not award you. God Bless and keep God first.

Amen pastor to pray for you God got you and you are not far from God but with him closely oh yeah. Big brother me too time away with God to know him as my Lord God almighty who is the reason I am still here on earth. Go deeper and wider and higher in Christ Jesus and Holy Spirit God.

Looking back at this moment I marvel at God's timing. The following week, God started the shutdown around the world because of the pandemic. Rev. Wesley's return was scheduled for the American shutdown. He was rested and rejuvenated to work during a very challenging time for the Church. Bless him for heeding the Word.

Selah, Dr. Wesley. Take full advantage of your sabbatical, enjoy your plant-based cooking adventures, study well and pass your comprehensive exams, and bask in your time alone with God.

Taking a sabbatical is a regular and very normal thing in other church traditions especially in the Catholic and Anglican Church, you will be missed Pastor, I actually think he should take a year, three months will come and go quickly.
