Kinokuniya has released an exclusive cover for "Neighborhood Story". As for that smoky second-hand volume, perhaps as an added precaution you could keep it wrapped up in cling-film on the shelf after you read it?
Yes I think I have got rid of the smell but maybe keeping it in a bag would be the best idea just incase 😂 I wish we had a Kino over here 😭 I would probably plan a trip to the US just to visit a few Kinokuniya stores 🙈
Great haul! You got so much stuff!!!! Neighborhood story takes place before Paradise Kiss incase you didn’t know. Bloom into you is an eight volume Manga with two side volumes, and three light novels.
After they restocked Nana, I was able to complete my collection which is now a mix of used and new prints. After completing I braced myself to reread Nana after 10 years. I didn’t forget anything but reading it refreshed my wound. I have and will never heal from this manga in my life. PS- There are 4 more chapters not in a volume after volume 21 which you must read😢
Amazing haul!! Always love your videos!! ☺️ im obsessed with the First Night with the Duke as I read the webtoon originally so happy it got a physical print 💗
Thank you so much!❤ The First Night With The Duke is such a great series! I picked it up totally n a whim and it’s ended up being one of my favourites❤ I really cannot wait for the next volume to be released
There are only four volumes of Mo Dao Zu Shi/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation manhua out right now volume five comes out in February. The comic is an adaptation of the novel the first three volumes cover the first volume of the novel. Ennead is really good. I enjoyed the first volume there isn’t any explicit content until later on in the story. Great haul and video as well.
Think Marmelade boy follows the japanese 'bunkoban' editions so it'll end at 5 volumes! I still haven't read my first volume but read the first chapter and it was already crazy hahaha Really glad you're sticking it our with Nina and the starry bride! I'll be interested how you will feel about the new chracter 👀 savage garden is a manhwa btw as it's written by a korean author! great haul!!
I didn’t know anything about Marmalade Boy when I picked up the first volume and I loved how utterly crazy the plot was from the start 😂 and now I’m addicted to the ridiculousness 🙈 Remarried Empress is on my TBR for this month so I’ll be reading it this week!
Nice haul! I've ordered the Ennead hardcover a few days ago, looking forward to reading it as it's such a unique setting for a BL. I think it has something to do with gods as well, like I think one of or both of the main boys is a god of some sort.
For GL, have you ever read "Donuts Under a Crescent Moon"? It my my favorite by far. I'm really enjoying "Villains are Destined to Die" A Japanese bookstore near me in the US called Kinokuniya had an exclusive edition with French flaps of Neighborhood Story" that I'm really looking forward to reading.
I haven’t read Donuts under a crescent moon but I have just added it to my collection so I will read it soon hopefully! I’m really excited to try out a lot of GL series now 😊
What a beautiful haul! I didn't know there were 19 volumes of Something's Wrong With Us, for some reason I thought it was 18... I am completely through the main story - you were SO right, it's so good *.* I binged it. And then I watched the Live Action (which was kinda weird, but still enjoyable.) I am now also gonna wait for number 19 to come out before I read the side stories. Regarding the manhwa question: as far as I know, every "manga" originally published in Korea by Korean artists is called "Manhwa". It has nothing to do with the color. The colored manhwas that got popular recently just happen to usually be originally Korean webcomics that are therefore in color. I have older black and white Korean series that I bought back in 2010 and they were already called Manhwa back then. (One of them is "Saver" - a beautiful older Isekai. Its English publication got canceled and I am still so sad about it! WHY Tokyo Pop?) I didn't want to start another webcomic manhwa, but now I really want to try out Who Made Me a Princess ^-^ Maybe I'll include Vol. 1 in my next SciFier order (I restrict myself to one order every 3 months... let's see how that works out this year :D ) I am excited to hear your opinion on "The Remarried Empress" and "Villains are Destined to Die"! They are both my favourite webcomic manhwas. But I also get the feeling that there is a loooot of repetative tropes when you read several Isekai manhwas / web comics. For now, I can't get enough of them, but I am not sure if I need many more series like them. Airing out your stinky manga should work! I've got 2nd hand manga from smoker households before (aweful!!) and I always store them next to an open window for several weeks. (Careful of wet weather). I am super smell sensitive and I can hardly smell anything from them anymore.
Yes! I’m so happy to hear you loved Somethings Wrong With Us ❤❤ it’s one of my top Josei reads and it’s so different from anything else imo I didn’t know that about the Korean Manga/manhwa so thank you 🙈 and I feel your pain about the cancelled series due to Tokyo pop 😭 I have a few incomplete sets and I wish they would be picked up and reprinted by someone! I’m loving all the manhwa right now and I can’t recommend Who made me a princess enough 🙊 so if you do pick it up I hope you love it too! There’s only 4 volumes out so far so not too many to catch up with 😅 Thanks so much for watching and for you lovely comments ❤
For your copy of Stupid Love Comedy I don't know if this would help but I was given some books from a relative who smoked and I used dryer sheets in between the pages and left them out on a table with the sheets in for a few days and the smell was almost completely gone.
Apparently there’s only 41 volumes in Japan so, releases are really going to slow down for us. If you want to a reread I’d wait a little then do the whole thing for what you have. Otherwise personally I’d just read Volume 40 since we’re gonna have to wait forever anyway 😅😅
