Decending a BRUTAL climb - Toad's Wild Ride to Christmas Valley

Back in 2017 I climbed up to Toad's Wild Ride for the first time and ever since then I always wondered if descending that climb would be fun. Today we'll find out while I loop this additional climb in to one of my favorite South Lake Tahoe trails: Christmas Valley

Berd Spokes are the biggest change I've felt on a bike next to dropper posts. I absolutely love mine. Im sure you'll love yours too. Putting Onyx hubs on them makes them even better.

Rob, your story telling is getting so good now, great video. I think it is literally impossible to have a bad day when you hear an infectious laugh like yours, smiles for miles, also am I the only one watching and wait for the part where Rob explodes his wheels? Seeing as you had those berd wheels making some cameos, lol

Inside knowledge. Some of that was filmed a year ago. I had a spoke broken when I rode the ride and by the end had 3 spokes broken. Last week I rode it again to get a thumbnail and I broke a spoke again. 🤦‍♂️

One of the people that n Patreon told me about another spot I didn’t hit yet too. Basically you need to stay in the back or you’ll never hit it. 😂

At the top of the Christmas Valley climb, when you make that right hairpin at the top to start heading down, if you continue up the trail to the left there you can continue to round lake. I think it's not even a mile round trip from that point. No valley views but it's very scenic.

I really like Christmas Valley. The one at the beginning is normally the climb people do to Toad’s Wild Ride. Most people take that down. I just climb it for some extra elevation to add on to Xmas.
