Rotfl true The base model for home users = PRO The model for professionals= XL The more powerful model for professionals (but just as big as the XL)= XXL
A thought on the XXL: Since the recent popularity of larger pour overs will this be perfect for using with the Orea Big Boy (and others like it) that requires around 1 liter of water which is often too large for kettles?
The close-up of the pour-over screen reminds me of a step in homebrewing (beer) called sparging. I didn't think I'd be pondering coffee/beer crossover tech so early in the day.
Nice to see you embracing the higher voltages available to drop amps. How will the machine handle common commercial 3 phase voltages like 208 and 277 or even industrial 480? Are you using a wide input range switching supply that current limits or will each voltage require specific components? Going back to a previous conversation of a larger commercial machine, do you have any experience with rack mount server hardware and how they use modularity and hot-swapability to handle efficient parts swaps of failed components?
Unfortunately cannot handle arbitrary voltages as the resistive element of the heaters as to be calibrated to each voltage. Yeah very much know about server racks as I was a sysadmin for many years. I’m planning on writing multilocation, multimachine espresso management software, so that cafes can reduce downtime, see future failures, see when they need more capacity, see when quality of service is poor, and other things common to data centers but unknown to espresso machines. :-)
I have a question when doing a straight nine bar shot will the extra flow rate be helpful on the XXL. I've heard on straight nine bar shots they're a little better on the linea mini. Will this extra flow be beneficial?
@@decentespressothanks for answering my question, is this on par with the linea mini in your opinion? Can it do 9 bar shots as well ? Have there been changed to the decent to elevate it to that level?
Hey John question the xl and the pro are they the same except the xl can be plumbed in and can be counter sunk and haves a cover in the back is that it?
Cafe Frama in Frome in a nice pilgrimage. decentespresso.com/contact us and let us know where in the UK you are and we'll try to find someone local. Now with COVID decreasing in the UK, visits are more likely to happen.
Yeh the XXL can be a bit too much if your cup numbers per day aren't so great. The XL with the 3 hole tip makes great milk to just takes a few seconds longer.
I don't understand either. Google emails them to me, and when I go to reply, they're gone. Sorry, please repost your question if that happens. I suspect it's Google's spam-killer being overzealous.
Seriously?! The La Marzocco Linea Mini is $5,400.00 before tax, in which it does one thing and not nearly as well as the Decent. The Decent mercilessly spanks the Linea Mini clear around the block in every aspect, especially with countless profile options. Half the cost of the Linea Mini is brand tax and the other half is pure hype. The Decent is an absolute bargain for what you get.
actually every kitchen already has 220 since most kitchens have what is called a split 110 meaning every plug has 110 X 2 ,, while top and bottom plus are independent on the panel
Still think De1Café sounds better but, whatever. Are you experimenting with A.I. , machine learning, and (I think that's a cool term) computational extraction and is it somehow possible as the tech gets more advanced and smarter to measure weight without scale and maybe even EY and TDS? This last two are probably harder than proving string theory and dark matter. 😁
I don't mean to be rude, but that second guy (Mohammed?) who's been appearing in these videos lately is a distraction from what is otherwise really great content. I trust that he's a friendly guy in person, but he constantly seems to want to monopolize the screen time rather than letting John just do his thing. Please reconsider his participation or at least ask him to tone it down a bit. P.S. I also get that he hates Americans, but a lot of us are decent people who are trying to make the world a better place. No need to throw generalizations around about people you don't know.
Yeah, that was a concern I had with this video, and for the Puck Rake video we toned it way down. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HIexlhxP0Ig.html
