Lamb forgots about his past and wants to be just like wolf. But then, repressed memories show up and he wants revenge against things he idolized.

@@shapeshifter16 I see the logic but i'm pretty sure it's still "Become what you sought to destroy". The lamb swear vengeance against the wolf that killed his mother, get trained by him (for whatever reasons the wolf would train his own assassin), forgot why he was here in the first place (how?...) And after becoming rabid, attack the herd he sought to protect like the wolf would. The moment where he saw that sheep and her lamb feel more like a "oh sh*t, what did i become?!" than a "oh sh*t, i forgot about that!".

@@shapeshifter16 but i think the lamb sought to be strong as the wolf so that he can protect his loved ones when there's danger (as he felt powerless when the wolf killed his mother) and in the last part, he has become the monster who he wanted to protect the herd from. Thus he has become what he once sought to destroy.

I think it’s just a design choice, they say in the film he “became a demon” in a way, so I think that was the intention

It’s a ram. You can get some crazy looking breeds of sheep- though none quite like that naturally. The valais black nose has twisting horns & a less tightly-curled fleece, so could look something like that, vaguely. Hebridean sheep can look pretty crazy
