I'm starting the prep work for my next build and need to dechrome some of the parts for it. I don't like most of the pre-chromed parts that come in the model kits, it just doesn't look right to me. I figured I would take the opportunity to do a tech tip video on how to dechrome parts.
Please note that the two cleaner/degreaser products I used(show) in the video are just two that I use. They are local and easy to buy and they are usually faster than most methods. Also, I'm not sponsored by any of the products or stores mentioned in the video, they are just what I currently use.
Please remember to use gloves and take other safety precautions as you feel necessary when using some of these products. In the excitement of doing the video, I forgot my gloves and my hands ended up being really dry.
