Cross vs. Van Veen was an absolute Matchplay classic!!! Shame Van Veen missed 6 match darts and blown his opportunity but surely he’ll come back stronger for sure!!!

Absolutely gutted for Van Veen, he had the opportunities to close it out and just couldn't take them.

Cross is a beast. He just comes out of situations you wouldn't believe. Coming back 7-14 against gurney to win 17-15. And coming back from 0-4 sets to beat dobey 5-4.

Cross and VV, will be a classic shown for years to come!!

SPOILER IN HERE: Half the Highlights vid is Cross and Van Veen. - The sudden death leg situation feels a bit unfair, even though Van Veen had so many match darts, ultimately it gave the advantage to Cross whoalready had the advantage of throwing first in the match. What a match though regardless. Let's scrap the rest of the tournament and have every game replaced by Cross vs Van Veen rematches.

Cross match was totally enthralling but he was silly to give Van Veen the 170 chance. Cross is one of my favourite players but he was foolish there. Brilliant game from both though.
